Valentinian and Dave have escaped the Dominion’s Internal Security Bureau. Now they’re fleeing for their lives, heading for systems outside of Dominion control, looking for a place where they can rebuild their lives. Figure out what comes next. Who they want to be, or to become.

Hard Bargain—the second novel in the series, Shadow of the Dominion—takes you even further into Wildspace, human variants, and maybe even a crooked card game or two.

Be sure to read the first book, Longshot Hypothesis, as well as keep an eye out for the other books in the series!

Loved the progression.

Problem, for me. Price. I know, I know. Cheap Okie-Heathen. I'm not sure I want to continue. Either I get tired of the thousands of free books through my Kindle Unlimited, or I decide to say f-it and keep going. Another issue is I can see through to the progression and eventual ending. So? It is very well written and the characters are varied and individual enough to see this author can step into any character good enough to create color and flavor. Also, he does have flow. What to do?

Not bad but NOTHING HAPPENS!

While still entertaining, the book was a bit of a disappointment. Nothing really happens. It was like watching a boring episode of a decent series but this being just the second book , it shouldn't happen. A very lazy move on the part of the author.
