The Haunting of Sebring Hotel

Terrible secrets linger within walls of the infamous Club Blue.

Few check in to the timelessly classic Club Blue and even fewer check out. Anna Hall arrives in Sebring, Maine with her two teenage boys and a bold dream. Investing her late husband's life insurance policy into the classy yet nearly forgotten motel, Club Blue, the ambitious single mother hits the much-needed reset button on her troubled life. However, when peculiar guests arrive and strange sounds leak through the oddly thick walls, Anna quickly finds her lifelong dream plummeting into a short-lived nightmare.

The Haunting of Meade Mansion

Emily thought she was leaving her money troubles behind when she inherited an old house from her great aunt who went missing the previous year.

When she and her husband Jesse arrive at the house, they discover Aunt Matilda was murdered--and the culprit is still at large. Guided by the ghosts of Matilda and the orphans she raised, Emily and Jesse must catch the criminal and save themselves before it's too late.

Two Great Haunted House Stories

Pairing these two books was a good choice. They differ from each other quite a bit: the first is about a haunted hotel that's bought by a woman with two teenaged sons; the second is a about a family mansion that's unexpectedly inherited by a distant relative and her husband, a young, childless couple. Both sets of central characters have financial struggles in common, but they're otherwise as dissimilar as the buildings they come to inhabit.

The first book took on some challenging backstory ideas that added to the hotel's mystique, but I don't want to include any spoilers. I didn't guess the truth about the characters until near the end, which made it a lot of fun to read. It's pretty dark, and though there is a murder mystery as well as paranormal activity, I don't recommend it for those who prefer cozies.

The second book was also a murder mystery with ghosts. It stuck to the tried and true format you'd expect from a story about a haunted mansion, but that was a good thing. The couple are nice people, and rooting for them kept me turning the pages until the end. I had a lot of ideas about the villain in this story, but I was surprised nonetheless. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy cozy paranormal mysteries.

Together, they have me many hours of good reading, but each is available as a single on Amazon as well.

This is the second time I read the first book in this bundle. "The Haunting of the Sebring Hotel" is creepy and interesting. A mom and her two sons move to an old hotel to try and start their lives over after loosing a loved one. This story made me cry again with the ending. The second story to this bundle is the "Haunting of the Meade Mansion" and like the first book this one is scary and sucked me right in. This story about a couple with money issues inherit a house from an aunt is very entertaining. There are ghosts and evil people trying to influence the couple with their own agenda. There is mystery and scary moments through out this story. Read this bundle you will love it too.

This contained two stories, The Haunting of Sebring Hotel, and my favorite, The Haunting of Meade Mansion. Both stories held my attention and had me curious as to what would happen next. In the first, The Haunting of the Seabring Hotel, a widow arrives with her two teenage sons intent on making the hotel a profitable place. Odd guests arrive and unnerving things happen, Will she and her sons survive?

The Haunting of Meade Mansion was my favorite. Emily and Jesse inherit a house from her Aunt Matilda. They discover Matilda was murdered and must try to find the killer before it is too late.
Great read!

Mysteries with a hint of paranormal

If you like your mysteries spiked with a hint of the paranormal, you will like this book of two short stories. The characters are believable and inspire empathy. The plots are feasible and have a few surprises. The endings are hopeful. I will read more from this author.
