Wow! After where we left the gang in Hades and the situation Aidyn was in, none could have predicted where this story would go. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. Knowing that Lucan and Sabin are destined for each other had me wondering how they would give in to the mating, and their chemistry didn't disappoint. This book gets a bit darker and rougher than the previous books and 100 degrees hotter. I highly recommend this series.

Again, this author has enthralled me with one of her books. While this can 'kinda' be read as a standalone, I would not suggest it. Honestly, this series made it to my 'go to' pile. I have already re-read the previous books twice. I have loved them all. But I'm going to admit, I was a bit worried about how things would work out for Lucan. He was just one of those characters that you wanted to sit and hold his hand, listen to and offer support, until he figured things out. That's it, no spoilers here. The evil is bad and spreading. No one will be left unharmed. When a certain turn of events causes an unforgivable act, the Guardians will once again stand together. The help of the Dragons is welcomed, the Gods offer a bit of insight and the trust of the mate bond will be tested. Sabin, for all she has suffered, remained a strong female throughout the story. Lucan, might just be a changed man. Might was the key word there. Sometimes when you expect characters to break, that is when they find their strength. It takes an amazing writer to do that. The epilogue, of course that was just enough to leave you wanting more. I loved this book. I can't wait for what's to come.

Relationship Status: COMPLICATED This is Sabin and Lucan's story and to say that their relationship is complicated is like stating the ocean is wet. I felt so bad for both these characters. Poor Sabin, she really doesn't need any more enemies. After all, her own family quite happily fulfills that position. As for Lucan, his struggle to not let the darkness consume him is neverending. You would think finding your fated mate would be a bright spot for these two. However, it is anything but. Intense emotions, drama, tension, danger and some very big twists, will have you eager to keep reading to see what happens next, while the epilogue will leave you anxious for the next book in this entertaining series. I am posting a voluntary, honest review.

Any book that has a mate cheating is disgusting and a disgrace to paranormal mate romances. He drank from another while she orgasmed all over his HARD erection. Once meeting your mate you shouldn’t even be able to get turned on by another this was so disgusting I threw up. A betrayal. How could you?! It didn’t need to be in the book! You ruined the character and spit all over what is so special about mates and their loyalty and absolute devotion whether they want to be loyal yet or not. Whether they accept their mate or not, they should not be able to even touch another without pain and ABSOLUTELY CANT GET AN ERECTION FROM ANOTHER BESIDES THEIR MATE!!!! I’m literally sick from reading that scene. Then he goes to his mate with that woman’s essence all over him. Vomiting again now

This is a paranormal romance that is a fight of good versus evil. If evil wins the world would be ruled by an evil that enjoys pain and death. Sabin and Lucan are the two main characters. This part of a series and all of the characters from the previous stories are an important part of the story. Sabin and Lucan know that they are fated to be mates. But Lucan wants nothing to do with her. The evil she represents and his own evil will not allow him to take her. But the fates don’t care and will have their way. The series has a Greek mythology background to it. Hades is one of the important parts of the story. Expect several twists and some heart stopping pain as evil can not be stopped.

All consuming

As a reader of paranormal romance I highly recommend the Guardian series. This series will have you laughing at the antics of Baal to crying at the anguish the characters have to endure. Before starting this series make sure you have plenty of free time for reading, because this is one you can't put down. I look forward to reading more of Valeries writing, and plan to start another one immediately. I cannot wait for book seven in the guardian series to be released.

I am not sure that I even know where to begin writing a review for this because it is truly an awesome experience.
The author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major two characters, but the minor ones too.

I loved everything about it - the characters, the plot, the emotion, the writing, and the ability that the author had to tell me a story that had me wanting this book to go on and on.

This was so worth the wait. Lucian was always in the dark I was so happy to see his story. But man he is a little twisted. That is until he has Sabin in his hands. He tends to be on the kinky side. And she loved every minute. But what her brother did to her was intolerable. Wish it didn't take him so long to save her.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I was so excited to get this book!! I have been a huge fan of this series and this couple was definitely one I was excited to read.

Sabin, I mean I felt horrible for her. Her family is made up of horrible people and she unfortunately was born with light who would destroy her brother so she has been held hostage for EVER until the day he would kill her for her powers. That’s gotta suck. Then to find out that despite this crap life the Gods give you a fated mate whooooooo hates you completely!!! SHUT. UP. That is even WORSE!!

Lucan is waiting for the day when his darkness will not be ale to be controlled. He is waiting of the day he will be killed when WHATS THAT…the Gods give him a mate…..WHAT!! ANNNND oh yeah he hates her with everything he has. Talk about toxic relationships from the jump!!

These two go through some STUFF!! I mean she is completely lost as to why he hates her and he is a hot mess of lust over a woman who will most likely kill him in his sleep. These two need some serious Dr. Phil counseling sessions but once they start to trust one another they feel like it one step forwards and 100 steps back. The book had so many twists and new plot loops I was like Hey GOOD ONE and OH SNAP THAT CAN’T END WELL!!

I am loving where the series is headed. I hope the King is next because dudes gotta figure out how to make his mate love him and stop trying to kill him already!!

This is one of my favorite authors and I loved her Eternally Mated Series. This series I have struggled with as it started out rough for me in terms of the flow and character building. It has gotten better as the series has progressed, some of the pairings worked well others like this one just didn’t ring true.

Sabin and Lucan have a hate/hate/love relationship to me. It may have something to do with Lucan’s horrible treatment of her in the beginning that I had a hard time getting past. Couple that with Sabin’s secrets and for me this was just a relationship that seemed to be a thing of the fate deciding more so than the characters actions deciding. I didn’t feel the deep I want to be with this person no matter what vibe from them, it came across more as resignation than passion.

A good portion of this book could have been resolved with a five minute lets put it all on the table talk. These are two very powerful beings and they just couldn’t seem to get it together to act like adults and have a heartfelt discussion.

For me what saved the book was having some of the other characters from the series be a part of this story. Their banter and care for each other kept this book from just being these two reacting to what the other person did that fed their insecurities. While these two did get their HEA, I wasn’t fully invested in them as a couple.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Vampire's Desire by Valerie Twombly is Book 6 in the Guardians series. I don't know about anyone else, but I have been drooling for months waiting for Lucan and Sabin's story and Valerie Twombly did not disappoint! This moody, dark and sexy vampire meets his destiny in this book and I loved it! This is series read that must be read in series order for the maximum enjoyment of the series and trust me when I tell you it is worth the read! Once again we are confronted with Lowan and his devious plans. And once again we are taken on a rollercoaster ride filled with drama, danger, love, lust, betrayal, redemption and so many OMG moments that I lost count. Valerie Twombly masterfully builds a world of shifters, vampires, witches, fae, demons, humans and immortals that is in danger of falling into chaos. The characters are well developed and designed to provoke emotions that you freely give in to. She promises entertainment and delivers so much more. This is a series that you will want to read over and over. Be warned, once you begin reading Valerie Twombly you will crave her stories like chocolate cake at midnight!

Lucan is on the verge of having the darkness consuming him and he fights against it constantly. Lucan knows he is expected to rescue his “mate” from a prison in Hell, but she is the sister of his hated enemy Lowan, and he is not sure he can bring himself to accept her.

Sabin has been locked up and tortured by her evil brother who plans to kill her on her birthday and steal her powers for himself. Sabin dreams of Lucan and waits steadfastly for him to save her. The two of them have much to overcome. Can they find a way to accept their fate and each other?

This book gives new meaning to fast-paced, intensely exciting reading. There were so many twists and turns, intense emotions, danger and tension for the reader to experience from start to finish! The characters were amazing and made the reader appreciate all they were going through! Sabin, despite what she has suffered, remained strong through it all. This won’t be a relaxing read, but you will definitely find it holding your attention and making you glad you hung on for the ride!

The world-building in this story was very well done, there are a lot of elements and several types of paranormal creatures, but it all flowed well. Sabin was a good mix of innocent and spitfire, even with the torture her brother has put her through for years she maintains a sense of hope for the future. Lucan I thought was a jerk at times for blaming Sabin for what her family had done, but I could still understand his lack of trust given what had happened in the past. They both needed to work on moving beyond the darkness Sabin's family has caused if they are going to be able to work together and stop her brother. There was certainly a good deal of tension between these two, but fate is a pull that is often impossible to resist.

I read this book without reading all the previous books in the series. While I didn't have trouble following the plot or keeping track of the characters, I would recommend reading the previous books to understand more of the background and plot leading up to this book.

Wow! What a read. I have loved all the books in the "Guardians" series. Lucan is on the verge of the darkness consuming him completely, when the gods decide to bless him with Sabin, his fated mate. Problem is Sabin is Lowan's sister and Lucan hates her, I mean really hates her! I felt sorry for Sabin she has a family just waiting to kill her and a mate that can't stand her, but in spite of it all she remained a strong character throughout this book. I've always had a soft spot for Lucan, reading about his struggle against the evil inside him has made him an interesting and endearing character. Sabin and Lucan had a lot to overcome and I was a little worried about how it would all turn out. Drama, danger, intense emotions and unexpected twists/ turns will keep you engaged and turning the pages. This was another great addition to this series and I can't wait for the next book!

I love this entire Guardian series and do recommend that you read them all in order as that way you will be totally immersed in this world. This is Sabin and Lucan's story and they are going to have a rocky ride.

She is the sister of his worst enemy but she is also his mate and if he doesn't mate her the darkness in him will take over and it is pretty close to that point already he has to fight it every single day. Sabin has her own secrets and terrors What he doesn't know is that her brother has her captive and he tortures her daily and on her next birthday he plans to kill her and take her powers When these two do mate their powers will benefit one another but will they both survive to reach that point You will have to read to see

This book is somewhat darker and rougher than the previous books, it's also much hotter. As we learn more about Lucan who is darkness personified whilst Sabin is light, we see how these two opposites need each other's strength and power to become whom they are fated to be.

Lucan starts off fighting the Fates because they mated him to his most hated enemy’s sister. But Sabin has dreamt of Lucan and is waiting for him to come to save her from the evil surrounding her. She's been locked up and toured by her brother who is planning to violate her, and steal her powers on her upcoming birthday! This is a compelling, exciting, suspenseful and emotionally thrilling read. is

A lot happening in such a short time. It seams as if everyone wants Sabin dead or contained . From the time she was little to now almost 300 years later it has always been so. Now she has a mate finding her and not sure if her wants to kill her or claim her. Crazy times, her brother wants to steal her power then kill her. She finds out somethings that she did not know and no one else does except Hades, her grandfather. Can you imagine what that would be like? Very good story. It is intense and scary but will leave you wanting to know more if they can figure out how to live through every thing. There will be more stories about these vampire guardians I am sure. I ♥️♥️♥️ this story and this is book 6 in the Guardians series and this is Lucan’s and Sabine’s story. Lucan is darkness and it’s getting worse and when he finds out that his mate is his enemies sister he doesn’t want anything to do with her. Sabine has been put in the dungeon by her evil brother he plans on killing her and taking her powers on her birthday, she dreams of her mate Lucan to come and rescue her but will he?. Another hit by Valerie Twombly and I can’t wait to read more and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Sabin and Lucan is such a great book. You have Sabin who is a Demi god and she is about to ascend into her full power. She is being kept hostage by her brother is wants to rape her virgin body and kill her to steal her powers. Her mate Lucan hates her family and wants nothing to do with her. But when he see and feels her being tortured he has no other choice but to finally get his mate, protect his mate and love her. They must finally come together to defeat there common enemy.

He has problems with trust and spends a great deal of time deciding if he can learn to trust his soul mate. This is their highly emotionally charged story. This book was a fast paced tale full of perilous situations and sensual adventures. This is a wonderful book that any paranormal romance reader will enjoy. Vampire’s Desire is an electrifying tale of good overcoming evil.
