very informative regarding basic care towards bettas. expected to get more out of this, but i appreciated the information on sororities and tricks for the betta.

a good place to start….
If you’re thinking of becoming a Betta parent. I purchased all the recommended items and plan on setting up a tank for my 92 yr old MIL who has dementia and loves an aquarium. It needs to be a smaller, tank and single fish for her to “care for”. I will most certainly be the one caring for the little guy, but she will get the benefit of being needed.
I found this book to be an easy, informative and non-threatening manual for a newby Betta Mom!

This book gave me absolutely everything I needed to feel confident in taking care of a betta fish. I love the section at the end with a few tricks you can teach them!

Reads Like a Term Paper
If you are looking for a good general book to help you take care of your betta fish, you are probably better off looking elsewhere. Fully half of this very short book is just general information about betta fish, including where they originated and a surprisingly large section showing black-and-white illustrations of different types of betta fish. A trifle boring. Would have loved to have seen a photo or two rather than bland illustrations that had little detail. I also found the writing to be somewhat awkward.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

I've wanted a betta fish for as long as I can remember but I've been hesitant as they need special care and environment from other fish. When this book popped up with a chance to review it, I didn't hesitate. This book is full of very useful, truthful and excellent information. It has everything from the history of the betta fish, housing, and so much more. A very informative book plus it's easy to understand. Definitely recommend!

Good book for betta fish beginners
Author has well explained about betta fishes. This book is useful for beginners to Intermediate. You will get all info from selection of betta in store to curring diseases and atlast training your betta fish. Betta breading is not covered in this book, author has given only an intro about (as i said this is not for advanced betta hobbyist).

This book is for the beginner Betta learner. Before rescuing a Betta I did my own research on the internet to be as successful as possible. I knew a lot of this information already. I really enjoyed the history, although brief. If you’re looking for a beginners guide this is your book. It’s easy to read and comprehend. If you’re beyond beginner this book may be too simple.

This book is incredibly easy to read and full of information to get you started on your journey of owning your new Betta fish. More research needs to be done on your end but this book provides the beginners guide and it really helps you to get started.

I loved this book! I highly recommend this for anyone who is thinking about getting a Betta fish or have been taking care of them for months. I wish I had this book when I first keeping Bettas!

Quick Informative
This was a quick read, but has a lot of good information. There are so many different types and I did not realize they had strong jaws and that they have teeth. I am now enjoying my new betta fish and hope Freckles (my pink speckled guy with bright blue fins) has a long healthy life.
