The world the Assets leapt through time to save was far from perfect, but even it was better than the one they find upon returning. All the humans outside the Compound have either been killed or turned. Those living inside are starving. Everything else lies in ruin. The future has changed. And so has Eve. Will she be strong enough to stop Victor and Kael before they destroy them all? Or will she become the monster foretold in the past, and singlehandedly usher in a new age of terror?
I felt let down. They talk about how awesome Eve is and pretty much no one could stand in her way. No cell, or prison can hold her and yet, it held her. It was confusing that all of a sudden Titus has these feelings for her. When thru out the whole series, he loves her as a friend. Yes, he thinks she's hot but does not love her romantically. Which he has mentioned numerous times. I felt that his character regressed. Maru, for me was the most consistent. The romantic progression with Eve and Enoch was still non existent to me. They just never have enough time to really build anything solid, it was either, "I love a million times" and then "never spend time together" because she is so busy caring for her friends over the guy she is actually head over heals for. She didn't even want to see him when she finally got back to her time. It was like..."I 'll just see him later when all of this is done". The guy has been waiting for you forever and that was the attitude you give the guy? She and Asa had more time together than she and Enoch did. And then finally when she is so exhausted with all of her pent up emotions, she releases it all by sleeping with him. Not a fan of Asa possibly falling for her romantically. He can admire her and all that, but come on. Are there no other female in the planet that can live up to the pedestal that is Eve? She is a basket case. And by book 4 usually, the MC has pulled herself together and become stronger for it. I did not feel that she rose above her pity party. The series went down hill for me, had a good and interesting beginning and then went flat even with all the action.
I ended up finishing this series In less than a week. I lost sleep, staying up til 3am. Enoch and Eve are destined to be. When the series starts she’s living in a compound training to be a top asset with a burning hate for Enoch and his siblings. She’s been taught to believe they are the worst thing for humanity. She travels through different times only to find the man she’s been taught to hate is nothing like the man she’s been brain washed to hate. Read this series and take the journey through time and watch as Eve and Enochs story unwinds.
I read all the series in a matter of days & i don’t know where to begin with !? It was such a roller coaster on emotions since the beginning it was intriguing but wow so many things happened in the book that i not expected & it just kept escalating on the part we’re you’ll think there will be no happy ending it was really worrisome & frustrating! It had me on a love and hate feeling because i loved that it actually had a happy ending & that it ended but then it was a fast series hehe but i highly recommend it!!
I really enjoyed this series so much I read all the books in just over 1 day! I dont know what to do now its ended. Sigh. This is a must read, the type of good story writing that only comes around once in a while. Definitely checking out this authors other books. 5 stars
The writing grows with each book and even though it wasn’t my favorite series I liked it.
There was a lot of action in this book, some twists and turns. I felt like this book was less rushed in time than the rest. The characters where well written and a great story line.
Casey Bond wove an excellent tale that only got better in each book. She created characters you will love, and care about which is a wonderful thing to experience. The ending is bittersweet, but hopeful. I honestly hope to see these characters in the future! Thank you!
I read a few of these and then got bored with the "same plot, different local" of each book. I skipped to this one, hoping to get closure. Instead, I was more frustrated. It seemed like a totally different author. It's very juvenile writing but the same basic characters.
Book 5 was the perfect closure to a very entertaining series. You'll fall in love with Eve and root for her happiness at very turn. I was hooked on this series and would recommend it to anyone who loves romance and fantasy novels
That ending... Makes you winder if there could be more someday. It wrapped up nicely but Asa is a bit of a loose string and Maru... I would love to see what happens to him in a few years. overall the story ended well.
I simply adored this series. All 5 books had me on the edge of my seat. The end was just what I would have expected from such an excellent series. This is on I'll read again and again.
Wow! I must say that I am disappointed that it is over. I really enjoyed this whole series so much that I would love to read more. With Everything that Eve and the others have been through during the series, I was happy to see it end the right way!
This book followed right along from the last one. Eve is such a strong character, she is really hard no to like.. the whole story is amazing. I highly recommend this series..
Another great series comes to an end. Finally all of my questions have been answered. I will miss Eve, Titus, Enoch and Maru. If you haven't read this series, give it a try. Highly recommended.
Again I couldn’t put this down. I absolutely loved this book. The only bad thing about this book is it’s the last one. I want more of these characters I’ve fallen in love with. Definitely a series everyone should read.
Omg 😲what a fantastic book, what a fantastic ending to this series but I am so sad this is the end, I am hoping that Casey continues it cuz it is great!
