Nightshade is an exciting tale of two shifter princesses on two entirely different paths of life.
After reading a few other books by Pierce-Gaeta this is definitely my favorite book by them. There is a few errors that another pass with an editor could easily fix but overall I really enjoyed this book.
The characters were great. Everyone was very unique and I was invested in the storyline and what was going to happen. I wish the ending wasn’t so much of a cliffhanger to be honest but it is a good way to get people to jump straight into book two.

Bullshit. 14 year olds wattpad can write better than this. Major plot holes, no emotins, this is so bland makes tofu look full of flavor. Nothings makes fucking sense, the love interest has no chemistry with the fmc. The plot twist reveal was so underwhelming. the writer clearly doesn't know how secret work or a how royal family works or how castles work. Nothing is made clear suddenly I'm supposed to know shit like, about Eros and Zepher and Nyx. The characters contradicts themselves all the time, sasha is a beast but says shed never kill her own sister but then hates the same sister very much and since the age of 8 has wanted zoey gone and has thought soo many times about getting rid of her. Zoey thinks her home is the assassasins guild and finds peace in her leather gear but then says she misses being a princess and the luxury of soft clothes and carpet. Nana is blurting out secrets in the hallways. Zoeys emotions seem so emotion less. she has no personality neither does Eros or zepher or whoever the fuck it is. Eros loves zeoy but he also loves Nyx and sucking on her titties. The queen has a weird personality she seemed somewhat nice then she isn't but she is but she isn't. Characters are horibbly written and make dumb fucking decisions. No one has a distinct personality, I've seen a door knob having more of a interesting personality than every character combined in this piece of shit book.

Enthralling to the end
The story begins with a tale of two sisters, both of royal blood. Where one is loving and kind, the other is arrogant and cruel. When the younger sister is sent away as a young child for assassin training, it is with protection for her life and a heavily guarded secret that threatens the entire realm. With gods and goddesses interfering in the fate of were kind, High Queen Elise decides to reinstate an old rule, setting both daughters against each other. Can she fix an old mistake or will the Beast tear her world to shreds?

Do not let a few minor edits keep you from enjoying this awesome story. Oh my god! JPG has you on the edge of your seat and just when you think you know what’s happening next, bam, surprise! Two sisters, one kingdom, good versus evil, who will win in the end? Shapeshifters of different species, magic and mayhem, JPG has all the right stuff.

Great first book
The dice are cast, who’s going to win the throne? Great story, love the action and the magic. I enjoyed the story very much and I’m looking forward to book number two.

Love plot, needs major work
Love the plot but timeline isn't clarified, multiple grammar mistakes throughout. Maybe needs just another thorough edit. Again live for the story and the contrast of the girls x
