I don’t belong here.

Twin Falls Academy — a seething hub of overprivileged trust-fund babies and indulged elite — and my new alma mater.
I’m an orphan. I am the unwashed masses that they can’t stand and they never miss an opportunity to grind that message home.
Especially Rosalie Evers, the queen bee who rules with a manicured grip wrapped around the throats of everyone trapped beneath her.
But I don’t care what they think. I’m just doing time at Twin Falls until I can get back to California for college.
Except I’ve attracted the attention of the three hottest — and most dangerous — guys at Twin Falls.
Preston, Maddox and Quinton are my weakness. I don’t know if anything is real or I’m getting played like countless others before me.
Are they lying to me? Or have they changed? I shouldn’t risk my heart when the stakes are so high but I can’t seem to make myself walk away...

Even when I should.

RUIN ME is part of a four-book series that ends with a massive cliffhanger and must be read in order. The books are: RUIN ME, SHATTER ME, WRECK ME, DEVASTATE ME. Contains foul language and mature themes. Enjoy!

Reverse harem bully romance!

This was a complicated story that involved bullying, teen romance, family issues, dealing with grief, a move to a new school, and a whole bunch of other things, and I really ended up liking the story overall.

Gypsy Roman moves in with her aunt and starts attending Twin Falls Academy on scholarship after her Dad dies in an accident, she is bullied by the local “Queen Bee” Rosalee, especially after Rosalee’s ex boyfriend, the handsome and wealthy Preston shows an interest in Gypsy.

Preston and his buddies, Maddox and Quinton all begin to hang out with Gypsy and though she at first is suspicious, she starts to trust them. There are secrets though, so of course you never know what is going to happen and when. The book ends with a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next one.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

"Exhibit A: Melanie Grace, Rosalie's No. 1 sidekick and adoring apprentice, had just used the word, "Pacific" instead of "specific" in an attempt to sound well-read when in fact, she was the opposite."

Guys, I'm dying.

Ruin Me all started with a bet. I also wouldn't really call it a bully romance book because Gypsy, the MC, was mostly bullied by Rosalie, the classic mean girl, and her friends. They were definitely annoying but I was intrigued to see that Rosalie told Gypsy that the book was real. Sad to hear about what happened to Georgia though and Gypsy was a really good friend to tell all the guys they were huge dicks about the whole thing.

Playing with other people's feelings is really messed up and I just didn't agree with all these bets/games that were happening in this school. Meanwhile Preston, Maddox, and Quinton really need to change everything about their nature if they truly want Gypsy back. I mean they barely had her and then really screwed things over.

No idea what the heck the next book will bring me but I will say that I'm a little bit interested in it. I doubt that she's going to be able to stay away from the guys but you never know. Overall, it could've been a lot better but I guess it was okay.

Disgusting

Could not finish, 84% and I was really done, I did not appreciate how this RH was done, dating one guy while constantly feeling like he was using you or would go back to his ex , yet you go behind his back and start throwing yourself at his friends, kissing them, saying I shouldn't do this but I'm going to anyways. I had zero respect for this book and gypsy's character. This book mostly consist of Preston trying to get to know and wanting to date the new girl gypsy, but our girl has some serious issues and is snappy, hostile and all out rude most times when talking with him. Which is funny because you think the way Preston ex is to her she'd stick up more for herself, yet she doesnt. I did not find gypsy strong in anyway, I found her insecure, bratty, and very whiny. I did not care for her and Georgia as friends, Georgia did not once have gyps back or root for her, instead she kept saying how she was making a bigger mess and was Frankly scared about everything that did not concern her. About 60-70 % in the book gypsy starts talking and getting to know Prestons friends, and in first time encounters with them she's literally either climbing on top of them or just all out kissing these guys she does not know, while in her mind she knows she's being a h*e and not caring. And honestly she is not wrong, she's a disgusting person, and I can't see why this has high ratings.

As readers of The Phantom Paragrapher know, I have found a liking in the bullymance trope and so in between my other reads, I have been busy trying to make my way through the bully romances out there. Some have been amazing, others not so good and then you have the ones in the middle where they had the potential to be awesome but fell flat. Ruin Me was one of those books. The main character Gypsy has gone to live with her Aunt whom she just learned she had after her father was killed in a freak accident. She starts her schooling at the elite school Twin Falls and of course she's the "poor girl" and gets bullied by the Queen Bee. At first, I liked the guts that Gypsy had as she was a smart-alek and had good comebacks and then she is wooed over by the Kings of the school and becomes 'one of those girls" and paints a bigger target on her back. She finally comes to her senses after she finds out about the book and that she was part of a bet. The guys then beg her back and stupid girl, she takes them back -just like that. I also felt that the book needed a bit more background into why Gypsy's Dad fell out with their family as I was sick of this "it's all in the past" and then Gypsy thinking she didn't know her dad at all. The other thing that annoyed me was Gypsy's friend Georgia and her freaking poor me act about being a big girl. It's like your mum is a personal trainer, you could exercise a little or embrace your body. Stop being a wuss and living in the past. Knowing me, I will continue with the series to see how it progresses along as there are a few paths that the series can develop. Ruin Me by Angel James and Arlo Arrow - a good read if you love reverse harems and bullymances set in elite and wealthy schools.

Received this Book for Honest Review

I Give this Book 3.5 out of 5 Stars, Listing as 3 Stars.

Cliffy(?): Yes

I read this book in one sitting, I didn’t not put this book down at any moment, even when there were a few moments in the book that made me really want to though.
I’m definitely looking forward the next book though.
Gypsy was a very likable and for the most part of the book very rational, I really was hoping she was going to be different but it went the route we all knew it would, but I hope the next book she make the boys crawl to her feet Lol.
This is definitely a cliched Bully Reverse Harem Romance, but hey, I happen to like those very much, thank you. lol
Some side characters had a little bit more book time than I would’ve liked.
Very Good Cliffhanger.
To those that are new to this type of Genre, this would be a ‘soft’ introduction to it.
Definitely recommending & Cant wait to see what happens next :)

I did not care for this book. I hated almost all the characters. They are all two dimensional and there is no depth. Gypsy goes back and forth. She strong and sassy one minute and the next is being a big whiny pushover. Not to mention she barely acknowledges the “pussy posse” then gets 2 seconds with each guy and is all Gaga over them. Hangs out with them a short while and is making out with them.
She’s all worried Preston is tricking her and going to get back with Rosalie, yet she goes behind Prestons back, making out with his friends. Worries she’s a hoe cause of it, but decided she doesn’t care cause she likes it. So she’s the one cheating on Preston. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Then I find out it doesn’t even end up as an RH. I decided to read reviews from the next three books to see if the series got better (it doesn’t) and in the last book she only ends with Maddox. Georgia gets Preston (wtf 😑🙄) and Quinton gets Mindy, Rosalies minion.
I HATE when authors try to cash out on RH since it’s so popular right now, yet they make so it ends up not being RH. I don’t like being tricked. If I pick an RH, that means I want an RH. Not a love square that ends.

10/31/19 - Note: I have finished book 4. In my opinion, this is not a true RH. This is more of a love square than a RH since the heroine ends up with only one of the heroes. In book 2 and book 3 she hangs out with them and goes on dates, but in the end, she stays with only one.

Review of book 4:

Review of book 1.
10/22/19 - I liked this one, but I wish that Gypsy stood her ground more. She forgave a little too easily in the beginning.
I hope she makes them grovel in the next book. I love a good grovel.
Give me a good cliffhanger with an amazing grovel and you won me! Lol.
At first, I was not sure if this was a RH story. This RH story is different from others I have read, because it just starts out with one hero pursuing her. I will have to read book 2 to see how it all comes together.
The writing style is simple. I expected more since the co-author is said to have a writing degree from Northwestern University.

I was not able to, nor did I want to (though I had to), put this down! I can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out! The chemistry between the Gypsy, Preston, Maddox and Quinton is perfect! This is a must read!!

I really enjoyed this one and in fact, read book two straight after. Gypsy is a bad ass, which I loved and the fact that she stands up to her bullies is refreshing. There is always one queen bee and I am still waiting for this one to be taken down a peg or two, but I fear that she is as nutty as squirrel poop.

Can't wait for book 3.

My rating 4 stars
This was my first book by these authors and it truly did not disappoint. The MC was honest, sassy and just the type of character i want. She didnt roll over and always had a witty come back. I really liked the plot so far and the guys seem pretty great, totally digging preston right now. I cant wait to see more character development in the next book and maybe see more to the guys. I having a feeling there will be some twists up ahead and im so ready for it. Excited to see where this story goes.

This is a new author to me and I was not disappointed.

This is a great book with a lot of drama and heartfelt moments about a young girl thrown into a new life with 3 of the schools hottest buys chasing after her. But then come to find out there was a book that made her question everything... you'll have to read for yourself t9 find out more but it's definitely worth it. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Ok...

This is more like 2 1/2 stars, mostly because of all of the mistakes. More than one sentence had my inner reading voice tripping up. Some of the quips were funny but the overall tone was immature. I know, I know it's a academy book but I've read others that weren't so...childish. I am intrigued about the family background of the MFC though so I might continue the series just to see what's going on there...

Omg I love this book. Gypsy has had a hard life and has been thrown in the deep end and having to sort her way through senior year of high school with the privileged. She has one guy who chases her and and his friends join in. Can she trust and should she call in love? Book 2 is only a few weeks Away and I cannot wait.

Very predictable

The first chapter got my attention but I soon found myself just skimming my way through most of it. What really annoyed me is the way she treated her friend that tried to warn her and then also blows her off making her become a hypocrite. I also was not a fan of the flip flopping of the main character being written as confident one minute to unsure and always second guessing her self. I felt like they didn't know which way to take the character personality so they did multiple ones inatead.

Interesting start

Gypsy is the new girl who move to a new town and during this time she meets these three guys who suddenly want her. This story seems very interesting, it’s unique that we find out they are liars very early on, should be interesting how it plays out.

That ending…

Definitely a very slow burn type book but I enjoyed it. Gypsy’s smartass, sarcastic come backs to the “Cheerleader Barbie” as she referred to her were very entertaining and funny. I am curious if she forgives them so I’ll be going on to the next book of the series.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have to say when I first picked up this book I was not sure what I was going to think about it. I did have an idea what I would think of Gypsy. I came to the conclusion that I love her witty attitude. I am not sure about her way with the guys. Her being with Preston and then basic throwing herself at his friends. I know this is an RH, but kind of forced. I will have to see when I read the other three books. I did not like Rosalie Evers for the mean girl is a trope that is popular. The turn of phrase in this book was wonderful.

I’m Ruined

Gypsy Roman, ends up in Twin Falls Academy after the death of her father, stuck with an aunt she does not know and an academy of snobbish rich kids that make her life hell, and take every opportunity to let her know she is not one of them. Attracting the attention of the three hottest guys at the academy as the “New Girl”. Can she trust her feelings? Who is playing who? Will she survive this place before running off to college?

Ruin Me, is a Why Choose, Reverse Harem High-school Bully Romance, but by all means, does not lack sexual build-up for the series to come. It does contain foul language which, I had no problem with due to my foul language I use every day, fits in perfectly with Gypsy’s character, dark humor, sarcasm, a take no BS kind of girl ( a girl of my own heart), enjoyed her “chirps” even when talking to herself! Character building for Gypsy is strong and fantastic, allows us to see the typical girl side within us all, no matter the walls we put up, that is easily trusting and swayed at times. Then you have the P Posse as Gypsy calls them, Preston, Quinton and Maddox, all different personalities and unique traits but all hot and devilishly yummy. Rosalie, the easily hated “It Girl” with her minions and then an insecure friend, Georgia, that she is constantly sticking up for. All great realistic and relatable characters that make for a great High school Bully Romance.

Rumors, bulling, games and lies, all of which will have you questioning motives thought-out the book. Story-line is great, a page-turner for sure, and has a twist or two, humorous at times, does end in a cliffhanger, so definitely need the next book sooner rather than later. Overall a fantastic read, well done to the writers, will be checking out their other reads! P.s Gypsy Roman has made it to my favorite character list #yaaasgirl.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Gypsy goes to live with an aunt that she didn't even know about when her father dies in a freak accident at work. Her aunt puts her in a prestigious private school that's basically full of over privileged rich kids. She's an outcast from the start and one has one friend which is only because that girl had no friends either. Still grieving the loss of her father she tries to push through whatever the evil spawns do to her but some times its hard. Her aunt has her head in the clouds about what's going on with Gypsy at school or just doesn't want to be involved. But when the preppy boys start following her around making nice Gypsy's suspicious but against her gut she goes on a date with Preston and she starts to like him and then she learns something that makes her confront him. Being the likable boy he convinces her to give him a chance. Soon she is drawn to his friends and is confused about her feelings. However after confronting her friend about something she learned in school she has no choice but to confront the guys about it too. Will Gypsy just break away from the drama makers at school? Will she tell her aunt what's going on? What will the guys say about what she's found out?

This is a good story that will draw you in and leave you wanting more with the cliffhanger. This is a well written story and entertaining story.

That ended so satisfyingly.

Okay, I was torn between giving this a three or a four, but then I realized that it was the only book I have completed after picking up and DNF’ing SEVENTEEN books so that’s got to count for something, right?

First of all, it took me until the 17th chapter to realize that her name is Gypsy and it’s not just a nickname, wow.

It’s a really good start to the series. I find Gypsy mostly funny but wow, is she confusing. I didn’t like how we can see the thought process of her doubting the intentions of the guys all the time but at the end, it is good representation of the mind of someone her age so it is on character.

What I didn’t like is Gypsy being dismissive about her cheating behavior. That’s one thing in the reverse harem world that is unacceptable to me but I hope she redeems herself regarding that issue in the next books.

I can’t wait to read the next one and the only question I have is…

SPOILER ALERT

When did Gypsy ever kiss Quinton? I don’t remember reading about it.
