We’d survived the battle, but the war was about to start. Seeing my dad get shot had put a lot of things in perspective about life, love, and what I wanted.
And, I wanted RiRi.
Now that my brother Colt had claimed Samara, there was nothing to be said about making RiRi my woman. But, we both had secrets that we needed to share and it would be fight to open up our hearts.
This quick read is a mix of romance, tragedy, and adventure. If MC shoot outs, strong language, and sexy times are your thing, this is the book for you.
This second story seemed very rushed. And some parts had me confused as heck. The shoot out: were the wife and kids upstairs packing or outside ? Did Grey drive away with the wife and kids. Because at one point it he was with them, but then I'm reading he kicked the shot racist. (After the car drove away). Lastly, during the honey seed scene in the kitchen: was her shirt on or off ? And did she have panties on or not.? Because literally 1 page no panties on, and the Very next page said he moved them out the way. Smh.
What a really good quick read. This is how a short story should be written, quick and to the point. Loved Wes, in spite of his previous mistake with RiRi he got it together and claimed his "old lady". Even though this was a short story the author did a good job of typing up the conflicts. This story still has an editing issue and the author confuses her charcters a few times, but the heart of the story is really good. Glad that I continued this series and looking forward to Grey and April's story.
Too many typos, a rushed story, and a barely explained plot made this book difficult to like. It's the 3rd in the series, so you do find out the ending. However, the storyline is broken, disjointed, and flat.
Wes was amazing in this book! I love how Ri was able to overcome her struggles and to see her and Wes reconnect was great. I loved seeing how Wes grew as well.
After reading Wes’s story, I can not wait to read Grey’s story and also find out who the leader of the Thirteen Crew is. I did not expect that RiRi would follow a dark path, justifiably so, and was disappointed that she did, but happy that she landed on the other side. Her story was also a sad one. Good old Candy! Candy got a glimpse of what could have happened to Samara if they had not adopted her. Too bad RiRi could not have received the same luck!
Once again we are thrown right into the action with Wes and RiRi and the writer never lets off the gas.I love the dynamics of this relationship but I feel as if I'm walking in the middle of the movie.I think a little bit more story development is needed.I would love to see these couple navigate life private and public. This was a good solid follow-up to the first story and so look forward to the next installment.
This second mc book was as good as the last one but with more mystery on who is the trader and if there are more .hopefully the last Will be longer with a good conclusions to the lives of this family. Good book Autumn,
