As my first adventure into the world of astrology, I would say this little book was excellent! It was really a journey in self-discovery—so many facts rang true to me, and this book has inspired me to continue a journey in better understanding the stars and their ruling over my life.
I loved learning more nuances about my sign as well—like what it means that “my Jupiter is in Capricorn” and I am an Aquarius rising with a Taurus moon sign. The next step is to read the Aquarius book in this series to learn more about my rising sign, and we’ll see where I go from there. I’d also love to view my star chart and have that interpreted at some point.
This book also gave some amazing practical advice—when I am feeling bitter and disconnected from my Jupiter, I can donate to Jupiter inspired charities, pray prayers that exude the spirit of Jupiter (basically jovial, like Psalm 148), and fast on Thursdays.
It’s definitely a different way of thinking for me, but I don’t think it had to clash with any of my beliefs—like my Christianity. Instead, I think learning more about astrology enhances the beliefs I already have; so yeah, while I wrote this review mainly to consolidate my thoughts on the book and the new journey in astrology I am taking, I also do recommend it for anyone looking for a place to start.
