Antihero Buechelle is intriguing enough to merit a longer look.
The short story “Buechelle” introduces us to a somewhat sleazy, sorta slobbish good guy who has a supernatural ability to find missing people. This story has a fun title character and a twist I didn’t see coming. There’s also a subtle plot hole that was only mildly irritating. Overall, though, I liked Buechelle well enough to want a whole novel featuring him.
I believe Me Sisavath has another winner in this character he seems y common man with uncommon skills I just hate there wasn't more of it. This author always delivers
Great story! I hope there is more to come. The character is just right, a little touch of the "extraordinary". Loved how the author kept the suspense of how the "whodunnit" was determined - for that matter...whodunnit!
Sam, please write more stories with this character. he's good and needs a novel/series of his own. almost as good as Will and Danny. needs a side kick. maybe Ally?
Loved it. Would definitely like to read more about this character. Story was intense but much to short. But I read every book of this author and am never disappointed.
Well that was... dark. It gave me a kind of Watchmen vibe - just because people have supernatural powers and chose to use them for good, it doesn't make them good people. Our protagonist Buechele has an undertone of loser-guy black humour to his narration, and the plot is short and (not so) sweet. Cleverly done.
Had not read a one of your books I did not like but this one I loved and it still has me rolling with laughter! It seemed so dark and serious and then it just wasn't anymore until I could almost hear someone " offstage " whispering "Gotcha'! " That was priceless and I LOVED it!! Thanks for the fun!
Great short story by a great author. Easy to read delightful story. Not very crazy about short stories, but I should have known I would love anything written by Sam Sisavath! Enjoyed it!
I hope this short story is Chapter 1. I really liked how you developed both very colorful characters and held my attention throughout till the twisted end. Give me some more.
Okay, why is the guy Tom Woods in chapter 3, but Robert Woods at the end? Interesting premise, but not developed enough, and that's kind of a big error for a short story! Still, always enjoy his stuff.
Excellent reading again by this author. Grand you from the very start and doesn't let you go!!! If you're a fan Sam's books then you'll love this too!!!!
