It all started one day in March of 2018. I was bored. There was nothing to watch on television. And the moment of silence prompted a memory. A flashback to a time I wrote movies in a notebook. Small scenes jotted down for no particular reason. Something compelled me to make a move. I jumped up and ran to my computer, anxious to tell a story of which I could see clearly. The scenes of my cleverly crafted idea so wildly vivid. A face. A name. And twisted plots that would rival any movie.

I began typing. The keystrokes were fervent. Soon one sentence gave way to twenty. One hundred words grew to seventeen thousand. And before I knew it, I had a short story. Proof that anything is possible. So, you might ask if I always wanted to be a writer? Was it somewhere in the back of my mind? No! It wasn’t. But I knew I was creative. And I knew I could tell a story. The rest is history. Now I can say I wrote a book that became a best seller. Downloaded for many book lovers to read and enjoy. And the journey is still fresh. There is so much more to write. I am just getting started!

4.25 ⭐️ This wolf shifter story did not disappoint. I loved the twist on it. Three alpha male wolves, considered kings, are living in exile in America and are in desperate need of alpha females. The only problem is that due to past occurrences, the number of alpha females has drastically dwindled.

That shortage does not just cause frustration, it puts their entire kind at risk of becoming weakened and eventually extinct.

This story had multiple layers throughout... mystery & suspense, power plays behind the scenes, and conflict coming from different directions. The tension was there, but the love was blooming too, and i was here for it 🙌🏾.

The best thing about this was the cover. The (new) cover was nothing more than a thirst trap or click bait. It depicts an equally brooding man, dreads down his back, and tattoos down his arms.

20% into the book, I was scratching my head. Cause HTF did they manage to complicate shifter dynamics 🤦🏾‍♀️!

The worst part was so much time was spent in making you understand the history & dynamics that there was no real lead into the plot of the story.

I am not a fan of DNF, and I really tried. I, however, felt like I was doing homework and not enjoying a read.

"The rulers of the village of Sessinile were forced to try to control mating. After the slaughter began the Isling family fled. And soon there were no more alphas for the women of Sessinile to mate with. The leaders then made laws to control the offspring being born. They made it against the law to have sex before marriage.

Usually, the women ended up being married to a beta or omega wolf. And their offspring would be beta and omega. The weaker of their species. But the slaughter of alpha males eventually shifted the paradigm.

The leader’s decision soon backfired as the number of available alpha females had dwindled. What was meant as an annihilation of the males resulted in numbers of the most highly coveted females, dropping.

The leaders knew that alpha females produced superior beta and omega wolves. They were the only ones who would produce large sets of multiple births, and all the offspring would be superior even if they were beta or omega.

They would be larger beta and omega. Not as powerful as an alpha but superior to another beta or omega. And for this reason alone, being with an alpha female was important. But more than the power and size of their offspring was the fact that alpha wolves were built completely different from the lesser beta and omega females.

Their female anatomy was made to handle the males, even as they ejaculated. A difficult part of sex in their society because the male’s penis changed during ejaculation.

It was an evolution, of the male anatomy to prevent their kind from copulation with humans. And although beta and omega female werewolves would not die during this part of intercourse, it would be damaging to them.

They healed afterwards but it was painful for them until they healed. This fact made sex for the beta and omega women frustrating. They enjoyed the men, but wanted them to refrain from prolonged sexual intercourse. They would always want the male to stop prior to ejaculation unless they were trying to conceive.

Alpha females could handle the male’s physical metamorphosis. They were designed for it. It enhanced sex for them. When the male changed, they would have an orgasm along with him. And it was the best feeling for the male. Physically draining them. Taking their power. And it was something they wanted. They sought it out. They started wars with one another. They killed one another. All for the love interest of an alpha."

😳

My interpretation of the first 20%
💁🏾‍♀️There are little to no available alpha females IN THE WORLD.

💁🏾‍♀️ The remaining living Alpha males are not sexually compatible with anyone but Alpha females, or they risk hurting (Beta & Omegas) or killing (humans) them.

💁🏾‍♀️ The Alphas are basically sexually frustrated

💁🏾‍♀️ Someone ( presumably an alpha) has been having sex with human women = ☠️. Interpol has launched an investigation.

💁🏾‍♀️Every brother is suspecting the other of being the serial sexual deviant. The thing is, if they get to the point of orgasm, the Beast takes over and they lose their minds and memories, so no one remembers if they were in fact, the person in the room.

Dun dun dun...

I said what I said and as always: don't take my word for it. Read the book, form your own opinions, and support your authors! 🫶🏿📖👏🏾

Interesting Novel…

A unique tale of kings and werewolves… I enjoyed the love stories.. the women to there journey of discovery.. the men who loved them.. Elle is my favorite character, because I enjoyed her journey more than all the sisters only because she had visions of her life and new growing family before the other two siblings. She changed her entire live to receive her blessings and felt signs pointing her in the right direction.

If you like shapeshifting then.....

This story definitely kept my interest. If you're a fan of paranormal or shape shifting then I recommend this. I gave it 4 stars because the romance wasn't as forthcoming as I like. I love romanticism and I love to dive in. I feel this story was a little slow with it, but nevertheless I liked it enough to download the next book.

Good read.

This was a pretty good read. However, too much of the story was repetitive. What happened to the wolves did not need repeating when new plots were introduced. I don't understand why that was continuously done. Other than that, the storyline was pretty good along with the suspense, action and romance. My first read from the Author.

Very good storyline

Smokey did a great job with imagination! However, this book had too many grammar and spelling errors. She also repeated situations way too much. Almost ever situation relating to who the three king were, where they were from, and what their limitations were was REPEATED numerous time. We also needed more work on how it followed from scene to scene...

DNFd mainly because this felt like a 1st writing draft. Ideas on a page with no proper transitions or proper details. Odd descriptions and writing points. Incomplete scenes. By 25% nothing felt consistent.

Different spin on this read. The secrecy throughout the different laws. Interesting enough for me to read and leave a review

Good

This was an enjoyable story but it drags because of all the backstory on the characters and their families and society. I think if the story had centered around a little more the characters it would've been so much better. I think there are some miss opportunities ,especially when it comes to the meeting of Fall in and Grace and also the true mating of Ridell and Jordan. There are quite a few mysteries going on and they are not pursued. This was good writing and a good story but something is .missing .

This, what wow

Thank you for this, it could have gone so much worst but this does bring clarity to the saying of love and war. What will come of the attempts how can we pick up and move on. This author has brought me out of my shell on shifter romance. The intensity of love allows your imagination to truly capture and see through the authors eyes what he or she was painting, thank you. This caused my anxiety levels to spike can’t wait for book two. I’m sure I’ll read it through and through

Good Read

This was my first read by this author. It was a good read. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. It started off kinda slow and I was somewhat confused, but it got it together. I like Saint and Elle together, they were meant for each other. I don't usually read these types of books, but it was alright.

My brother's keeper

This is my first read from this author and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I love shifter stories and it's rare to have black shifter males in a story. I will say that the author could have easily made this into a series and gave each brother their own story and I would have still enjoyed it.

Potential

This had the potential to be a great story it was ok the beginning and middle was dragged on and the ending was rushed. The mates relationships had no time for development the last pages of the book is when they came together should have been a lot sooner and this would have definitely been a 5 star book.
