Marshall, STK hacker and new homeowner is looking to simply enjoy a quiet life as he remodels his home and focuses on his new job with the team.

Kidnapped as a child, Danny has never had a normal life or known a gentle touch. He's lived one nightmare after another, trying to find a way to escape the hell he lived. He doesn't know what exists outside the house he's been stuck in most of his life, but he dreams it's better than where he is now.

When the chance to escape brings Danny into Marshall's arms, he clings to him initially in fear, then for the first bit of security he's ever known. After years of trusting nobody, he lets himself trust Marshall.

Marshall is determined to bring Danny's kidnapper to justice, using all of the STK resources to hunt down the man who destroyed a child's innocence, while at the same time, teaching Danny that the world isn't the dark place he'd always been led to believe it was.

Struggling to put the pieces of his life back together, Danny and Marshall work together to bring a monster to justice and find that happiness might not be as far away as they think.

Heart breaking

I can honestly say this is an amazingly well written book. It broke my heart and lifted me up and have me hope. I hate using the word trigger warnings however this touches on rape and kidnapping of a child and mentions of other assaults on children. This book is meant to make you feel those emotions that are attached to those themes (which is not said lightly).

This book brought out so many emotions that I can relate to from my past so E.M Leya did a fantastic job of capturing the different characters moods emotions and physical reactions to the different scenes in this book. Must read!

I love this series

I was already a fan of E.M. Leya's before she started writing the save the kids series, but they made me an even bigger fan. Each book is a different couple but gives a voice to the victims and survivors of child abuse. This book is no different. It's the story of a man who was held from.the time he was 7 until just before he turned 20. It lets people.know how the survivors feel. As I said it gives them a voice. Bravo ms. Leya. Please keep writing and give others a voice. Everyone should read this series. You won't be disappointed. I would give more then 5 stars if I could. 💫💫💫💫💫

Hauntingly beautiful

Danny has survived for years in a house that he is unable to leave and years of abuse. When he sees a chance for escape, he takes it and runs strange guy to Marshall. As these two go from stranger to friends then more, we see updates to the Denver team as well as how Danny is recovering from his prison.

This broke my heart. Poor Danny went through so much. I hate how he blamed himself. It was good how Marshall and Danny’s relationship took time to develop. But I’m impatient I wanted it sooner.
Jessica was amazing with Danny. They became fast friends. Faith helped him out big time too.

I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Like Danny might overhear something and misinterpret what Marshall is saying. Or reacting badly when he finds out what Marshall really does. But he takes it really well and there not any relationship drama thankfully.

His birthday made me tear up. It was so thoughtful and shows how much Marshall and the whole team care about him.

I want to know Trentons story. I also want to know Garys story. Good book hope there’s going to be another.

Really loved this book

When Danny, a twelve year kidnap victim finally manages to escape. He runs straight to the man next door.
Marshall works for a secret group known as save the kids. When a young man runs to him begging for help, he knows something isn't right, even with an older man saying his son is sick. Marshall takes Danny into his home and helps him to adjust to life outside captivity. Finding himself wanting to do more to help danny, Marshall enlist stk to track down Danny's captor and bring him to justice. This book is the latest in a fantastic series an thoroughly worth reading

Unsaved and Free

This series is very unique. Each book deals with such real and in your face trauma, while also bringing a much deserved happily ever after. Having worked in the county jail system for years I get a lot of glee out of the way pedophiles are treated in these books, if only it could be real life. I love this series, each book makes me cry and laugh. The author also does a great job of focusing on helping the characters deal with their trauma, something that is so very important.

I've been waiting for this book it feels like for years, but really it's only been 1. I was left kind of disappointed.
Marshall made me feel so slimy.

Overall, this was a good addition to the STK series. I can't wait til the next one. I want more about Trenton! I actually thought this was going to be about him. He's so intriguing. Oh and Gary! I want Gary to have a story!

Another great addition to this series

This series is hard to read because the focus is the STK Save the kids group that saved kids from pedophiles. Each book the author manages to bring us in from a different angle. In this book one of the STK team members ends up saving the life of a young man who had been kidnapped 12 years ago. I loved the slow burn relationship between the two mcs and how the whole team helps to heal him. It was great seeing Xander Matt and Faith and the part they play is so important too. Very well written, couldn’t put it down.

Heart renching

I forgot how brilliant this series was. It had so much action and graphic details in it. I definitely a tearjearker and one book that you need to read with awareness of detailed abuse and rape being mentioned.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:
A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year),
it's like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok)
It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the
whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

Brilliant read

Wow, what a tough subject to cover.

I wasn't sure about this book to be honest but I'm so glad I decided to give it a go. I just couldn't put it down.

I gave it 4 🌟 because although it was a brilliant read I felt that not enough time had lapsed from the time Danny was rescued to the time his relationship with Marshall took off. Maybe I'm wrong in this but that's how I feel.

Amazing
This series is very unique ,
Each book in the series discusses on such important subject -Sex trafficking in children
Every book and book makes me cry, makes me heartbroken, and in the end makes me happy because of this special subject.
This is the story of Danny who escaped after years of being captive and sexually abused And met Marshall from STK
And of course we meet the whole bunch from STK We met in the previous books
Definitely recommended!
