Holiday read…. A stretch!! But because the story was good af and I’m a HUGE fan of Antionette’s I won’t fault her. Ryan and Gyan aka G were best friends from their adolescent years and were inseparable. After the jealousy of their mutual friend caused what seemed to be irreparable damage to their friendship and budding relationship, Ryan moved away and didn’t look back. Now several years later, her mother is forcing her home for the holidays and this means she will now be in close proximity to G seeing as how their mothers live next door to each other. Ryan was not here for this reunion and wanted nothing to do with G. He hurt her and that was that. While she was doing everything to hate him, he was doing everything to help her see that what ruined their friendship is not how it seemed. The pace and development of this story was really good! It flowed really well and wasn’t over the top. One things I’ve come to love about Antoinette’s books is how realistic they are. You can actually see things happening in real life. They are relatable. I love how Ryan and G were able to move past the hurt and get their relationship back on track. Y’all know how I feel about epilogue’s and unfinished stories… well this book had no epilogue but the way she ended the book was done so well I don’t even feel like I’m missing out or was left hanging like I have with so many other recent reads.

This was a rekindled love romance book. The characters were relatable and I loved Gyan's mom. I also loved how the title went with the book.

I received this book via a IG give away and decided to give it a read for the #jinglebooks bingo. LISTEN‼️ yall this book was good!
Ryan, our heroine, has a new life, new man and isn’t looking back on the one she left in her hometown. So when her mom threatens her to get her to come home for Christmas she is back but isn’t happy about it. I really liked Ryan’s character she made some mistakes but she was kind of right in her reaction. I would have processed it very similar. 🤷🏾♀️
Gyan or ‘G’ is our hero and he is a book bae type with a little thug passion in the mix, which is right up my #bougie alley. 🤤He is a lover of few things but once he loves it is for life.
This quick read gave me all the feels, thrills and laugh out loud moments I needed. I would love to see what their story looks like present day, hint hint.:) Thank you to @hottgirl_booktalk for this read it was amazing and introduced me to a new to me author that I will explore more of. 5 stars ✨

Simply freaking amazing!
Oh my goodness I love everyone and I’m sad to see them go. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I loved Ryan and Gyan together and I’m glad they got the truth plain and simple. Folks sometimes are just too messy. I see a double wedding in the future because Alley and Javon were equally cozy. Definitely enjoyed and can’t wait for what’s next

Second Chance Christmas
The was cute,funny, and like, hood lyte. lol. It didn’t give me Christmas vibes though. Which was fine cause it was such a fun read. It’s time I stop with all these shorts and read a novel from Sherell. I’ve got several on my TBR.

Great Christmas read!
I swear Nett never disappoints!! I loved this story. I am so happy at Ryan & G’s ending!! I wasn’t too sure about them at first - Ryan was for sure holding a grudge. Her ex bestie was definitely a snake too. This was different from the normal books but I really enjoyed it. Ally was my fave I can definitely see her giving Javon a run for his money! Oh yeah Ryan mama was funny but i loved her character too. Great job!!

Gyan!!!! My ❤️!
I loved this storyline. Ryan was really boujie but her mama was there to bring her back to her reality. I love the old Ryan when she got herself together. Gyan.....my heart just fluttered. He was so amazing and down to earth. He wasn't over the top or anything. He had one of those vibes about him that you can't help but fall in love with. I hope to hear from them in the future.

Nice Quick Read!
Gyan is a G! I’m so glad that he did not give up and did not except Ryan being mad at him. I am so glad that he pressed point and pressed for their love. I hate that Ryan would not listen to him. Unfortunately, I do not understand these women who are so quick to jump to conclusions and not give the men a chance to explain themselves. Where is the communication. So she was a little immature for that. However it was definitely a good read.

This book was gifted to me from Jasmine of @hottgirl_booktalk on instagram and I'm so pleased. This book was good! Great characters, great storyline, funny and sweet. I loved Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Hope. They were hilarious! This story was also very relatable and realistic. I really, really liked it and will definitely be looking for more books by this author. Love Rekindled!
Absolutely loved it. Ryan and Gyan had not seen each other for years, but once they got back together, they could not deny their feelings for each other. During their childhood, they were both friends with another girl, who was secretly jealous of Ryan because Gyan only had eyes for Ry. I loved the relationship between Ry and G and glad that she didn’t just settle for Lance.

This book was a good, quick read! Lex was scandalous. Women will pretend to be your friend only to do you dirty. Unfortunately, Ryan’s hurt caused her to push G away before she allowed him to explain the situation. I’m happy she eventually allowed him to tell his side.
Ms. Cynt and Ms. Hope were hilarious. They were not playing with Ryan and G. They wanted them to get it together immediately. They had events they were ready to prepare for.
I hope we get a book about Ally and Javon.

How about a "G"
This was a great holiday novel! About lost love and jealous friends. Family who keep it 100 and fire love scenes Ryan & G made me smile and I love a good comeuppance. Love is more than material and forgiveness gives you more than the forgiven. Going home never felt better

I love the way your characters come to life. I feel like I know Ryan and Gyan’s families. Their meddling mothers were hilarious. G had so much love for Ryan and although Ryan branched out and had a whole other life, she couldn’t shake her true first love! Lance seemed like an egotistical a hole!

Satisfied Reader
Going back home to visit was the best decision Ryan could’ve ever made. She and G knew where their hearts were and hey finally got it together. Lance wasn’t hood enough and had her pretending to be somebody she wasn’t. Their Christmas turned out to be a great deal

I knew lance wasn't the one I could tell no chemistry at all. Ry needed and wanted a bad boy. I'm glad she went back home and rekindled her relationship with G they were made for each other . Hope to hear more from them . What about Javon and Ally will we get a story about them.

Aww so beautiful!
I loved this book! The storyline, the characters, and just the right amount of spice was perfect. For it to be a short read it really hit alk the marks and it was funny as well. Antoinette Sherell is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I definitely would love to hear mire about Ryan and Gyan.

A little friends to lovers to enemies (at least on Ryans part). She moved away from home changed her life; saying I’m not like those other people. Only to come home for the holidays and did a complete 180. Out here knocking folks left and right while trying to deny her feelings. Very delusional but a good time!

Ryan and Gyan were always meant for each other, and deep down they both knew it even when they tried to fight it. Everyone around them could see it long before they acted on it. I’m glad Ryan finally made the right choice. Lance, on the other hand, was always nitpicking and finding something he didn’t like about her. A man like that was never going to love her the right way anyway.

I thoroughly enjoyed this love story. Ryan and Gyan “G” we’re best friends turned lovers until a lie from someone close to her ended it all. When Ryan’s mom called and demanded she come home for Christmas did things turn around. I highly recommend reading this.

So loved this story from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down. Loved Ryan and G together and so glad that got their happy ending. Would love a story about Ally, Javon and the wedding with grandbabies as the mother said. Great job Antoinette Sherell.

This COVID 19 got me reading all books I didn’t realize in my KU. This was so cute and makes you want more on the supporting characters as well. It ain’t nothing to get that old thang back, lol!
