A really quick sweet holiday story. Things moved a fast but I enjoyed it none the less.

Grief Stricken Alpha
This book was just the Hallmark type of story I was looking for. It was poignant and sometimes ansty. But it was mostly a tale of recovery and healing. A solitary broken Alpha discourages interactions with others. Because of his sad grumpy nature, family and friends have learned to leave him in peace and quiet. But he is gradually sinking deeper into his grief-stricken depression and anger at the world for letting him continue his miserable broken life; while allowing two of the Brightest Lights of the World to go Dark.
An upbeat Omega is full of the spirit of the holidays, being with family, and totally enjoying his new home. How did he manage to find the perfect home in a wonderful Sugar Beach neighborhood, yet end up next to a hermit. A grumpy Christmas hating hermit. No tree, no lights, no decorations well the Alpha would just have to enjoy his. As well as some leftovers and cookies. And whatever else he could ascertain the Alpha needed. This wonderful story brought a smile to my face.

Max's move to his new home in Sugar Beach, brought more to his life than he bargained for. An independent omega and homeowner at 25, Max was living the dream. His love for cooking was a true labor of love.
Learning about his new neighbor through the neighborhood gossip mill gave him a chance to get to know the man, not the misunderstood grump he's believed to be.
Pierce lost his husband and young son in a car accident. He also became disabled. Struggling to find his place in the world, he continues to close himself off to those around him. After many years of mourning, he still faces those deeply rooted pains until a new neighbor moves in next door and changes his life. One cookie and home cook meal at a time.
Max ended up being the perfect omega for him and Pierce was the perfect alpha for Max. The pieces fit naturally and ended up with the family they both needed. Super quick grumpy/sunshine mm omegaverse romance. Pierce is barely surviving after losing his husband and child and half his leg five year ago. Max is an independent omega buying his own home next door. He loves to cook and share his goodies. He introduces himself to his grumpy neighbor and nothing remains the same for either of them. ;)

Grumpy alpha
Max and Pierce adorable. Max is cheeky, fun, and plain loveable. Pierce is grumpy, sad, and loveable as well. Max brings Pierce out of his shell and they enjoy Christmas together and find so much more than neighbors.

Fated mate again?
This story kind of starts out dark, but the main characters figure it out pretty quickly. A few typos kept me from giving this a 5-star rating (to should've been too, too should've been took, etc.) I read this in less than a day. Very good writing overall.

I can only handle omegaverse in small doses, and this novella was it. A quick read but it does touch on grief and was quite sad in parts.
