This book was SUPER FUNNY!! The characters were very lovable and funny! A nice quick read!

Horrible book
It had no plot no story and completely no fun games do you know what is going to happen the whole time and he had no special talents I hate this author

Not Bad, but...
This book is geared mostly towards 5th-6th graders, but still enjoyable for a younger audience, especially if it's read to them.
A few things to note though:
Hugo has no respect for his mom, calling her by her given name.
Hugo's dad appears as a stereotypical couch potato, but there are redeeming features near the end.
And then...I find it mildly inappropriate that Agent One is found three times tied up (no problem there) and mostly stripped. Also, he seems to serve as an example that adults are dumber than kids.
The story is fast paced and meant to be fun and almost silly, like Spy Kids. To a degree, Hugo pulls it off. He's good at this and he knows it. He also talks a LOT. Otherwise, a fun adventure read.

My son really liked this book, though he found some of the odd things that happened to be a little immature. Still he was engaged though the full novel and enjoyed the ride.

a fun and easy read
I read this with my 13yr old son before bead each night. We both laughed out loud a bunch and can’t wait to read the next one.

Lots of interesting characters, I laughed out loud in places, I am sure the age range for whom it is intended will find it a good read, you are left wondering what he will do next 🤣🤔
