Saoirse
I wanted him since the day I met him. Long haired, tattooed and tall as an Irish giant. He was more than just handsome, he was drop dead gorgeous. And the only one who ever truly cared. It didn’t matter to him that my father was a criminal and my mother a whore. He saw me, understood me.

I could be anything I wanted, he said.
Except his.
Because I was too young and he was my Juvenile Liaison Officer.

Diarmuid
It’s been years since I last saw her. No longer a girl, she has a body of a woman. When our eyes met again, I saw the only one who ever broke through my asshole mask. She never judged me. She saw me, accepted me.

She could be anything she wanted.
Except mine.
Cause she’s only seventeen and I’m trying my hardest not to fall for her.

If I give in, she will ruin me.

*This is a slow-burn, angsty love story spanning across a seven-year time period with sexual situations and drug-use involving characters under the age of eighteen.
Irish Kiss is a complete standalone novel with a Happily Ever After, but damn, it is going to hurt along the way.

The myth of Selkie is the basis of this modern love story. Legend has it that a woman with fins of a seal is in love with a human and sacrifices her happiness to save him. This story is all about sacrificing for your love, for their betterment and their well being
description
Diarmuid Brennan is a JLO-Juvenile Liaison Officer for troubled youths. He's giving back to the community by saving young, first time offenders and delinquents from sinking more into the quagmire of drugs, crime & gang violence. He's very passionate about saving these pure souls and nudging them on a path towards better life, school, career. And then she walks in......
Of all the police stations in all the country, she had to walk into mine.
His new ward-Saoirse Bryne, all of thirteen, naive, innocent, trapped ! A hellhole of house, whore of a Ma and criminal Da, languishing in jail. She's suffering so bad, breaks my heart & Dairmuid's . The Angel has to struggle daily for food, studies, clothes, love & attention.
I hated all of those people in those terrace houses, all those self-important fathers with proper jobs, those overbearing helicopter mothers, all those ungrateful brats with full bellies and laughter in their lungs and no idea how lucky they were. They had no idea what life was really like, what it was to burn and ache and hate and struggle. To feel like you had to fight and kick for every breath because life was holding your head underwater, laughing at you all the while. I’d learned long ago that I was alone. But that didn’t bother me. I knew I couldn’t count on anyone else except for myself.
I hated her parents, her dire situation, her life and wanted to save this beautiful girl from being crushed under the weight of loneliness and despair, so my work is done by Dairmuid !. He takes her under his wing, guiding her. But in the process, loses his heart, his life, his soul.
Oh Gawd!! The story is so hopelessly romantic, hugs and tears at my heartstrings. Dairmuid is caught between his wants and needs, heart want her , head KNOWS it's wrong and he stays away, keeps her at a distance. It kills Saoirse and me too💔
Where the HELL is the 🍀Luck O The Irish🍀 when you need it
description
A classic tragic tale, just waiting to rip you apart !
This. Here. He was my harbour. This was my home. It felt so damn right I could have cried. I could have begged him to never let me go. Instead I curled my fingers into his shirt. I held on for as long as I could. Stealing his seal-skin under the cover of darkness, with the non-judgemental moon as my only witness.
Two devastated lovers have to remain distant, a mile or a moment, doesn't matter.
It's unfair! It's Life !!
By this time I was crying , wanted to manually race the clock towards her 18th birthday.
I was sick to death of this want you, shouldn’t have you, push-pull bullshit.
The writing has improved so much, this might be Sienna's best work yet. Her adopted home of Ireland seems to be a place rich with traditions, warmth & folklore. We get to see it through her eyes & words. I LOVED the premise, the heart ripping angst, fat tears of grief and ultimately sobs of relief, all found in the pages of this immortal love story of Saoirse and Diarmuid. Because you see, they're Selkie
he has her skin
She has his

They're bound by fate, love and misery. Equal partners despite the decade between them.
I just wished them early relief but Sienna loves to dig the knife deep and keep twisting !
Bleed all over people, get tissues handy and wine glass full

This is a hard book to summarise.

I liked it. But I felt it was wrong to like it. Yet the pages just kept turning because essentially, it is a well written story.

This is a consuming love story spanning over a decade. It’s a slow burn, packed with tension and good secondary characters, who helped to maintain a decent plot line and complimented the deep relationship between the main characters.

However, this part is probably a big red line for a lot of readers and it’s why I’m torn about liking the book: our hero is the heroine’s Juvenile Liaison Officer. He meets her when she’s just 13.

Now, whilst nothing sexual happens between them until she is 18, their friendship has deep romantic undertones from the very start. Whilst our hero himself believes that he sees her as just a friend during their early days, he subconsciously treats her as a girlfriend, which is undeniable to him later on in the book. I struggled with the morality of this part of their relationship if I’m honest; it glamourises grooming, essentially.

Yet I still believe they were soulmates. The mind boggles, huh. Put this story in front of me in a news report, with no context, and I would say it’s categorically wrong. Yet in this I felt connected to the characters and believed their hearts to be true.

The author uses flash backs (generally I hate these) throughout the book to help us understand the complex history of the characters and why they are connected to each other so deeply, and these were definitely needed. I still groaned though when there was a good part of the book, flowing really well, and I was suddenly hit with a new chapter that was set ‘5 years ago’.

Now, apologies that I haven’t used the character’s names. They’re Irish and I love Irish names, but man, they’re spelt nothing like how they sound! The author was kind enough to sound them out at the start of this book, and they sounded so beautiful, but I couldn’t keep turning back to start to pronounce their names each time. Therefore, the heroine because something similar to ‘sausage’ in my head, which did amuse me.

In summary, if you like slow burning, gritty reads I would recommend. If you have red lines and don’t want to feel conflicted due to the heroines age, I’d skip this one.

2018 I decided to read more books that I usual wouldn’t read based on the cover and the blurb here it most certainly applied.

It’s hard to know what to write here because I have so many emotions some negative and some positive.

The author created a gripping love story with ups and downs. It made me smile and it made me angry of the injustice of the world that sometimes some have to try harder than others. That there is no love without sacrifice and this is a taboo love story in the making.

Saoirse fourteen was caught by the Garda wrong place, wrong time but that doesn’t help her situation she still has to have a juvenile liaison officer. But he isn’t like any other cop that she has ever meet. With trust and his attitude she can’t help but start a Hero worship he was the only one who was always there.

Diarmuid gets far more involved with his charge and one of his kids than he should and without realising it he crosses unseen boundaries.

Diarmuid had a girlfriend but through the age difference that wasn’t surprising. Although I constantly forgot that his girlfriend existed and he only stayed with her because he thought it was love. But with how they interacted with one another you felt that boundaries were being crossed even if he didn’t notice. There was a fine line that was crossed but enough time to turn back.
But with turning back just in time before something catastrophic happened he broke her heart. Three years later they still can’t forget each another.

It was hard to accept their relationship or the beginning of a relationship because he was twenty-five and she was fourteen what they had was tender but because that line wasn’t crossed it still made me feel uncomfortable it doesn’t matter that Saoirse was wise beyond her years and an old soul.

The first part of their story takes place in Dublin and when they meet again in Limerick. When they meet again she is 17 and he is 28.

Yet with the animosity that they had to one another although they were both hurting more than anything else the push and pull became tedious to the point where I had enough but I wanted to continue so I plodded along because I was hoping that there was going to be a turning point for these two.

But what happened next is the straw that broke the camel’s back

All in all it wasn’t a hit but it wasn’t a miss either. It is up to you if you want to read it or not.

I've reached my limit on absurdness! I can'twon't do it anymore.

Irish Kiss (Irish Kiss, #1)
By: Sienna Blake
5 Serotonin Stars

With each book I read by Sienna Blake, I see the growth of a fantastic author. Each book she’s written, progressively better than the last. An author that has made it onto my list of one-click without reading the blurb or thinking twice about reading.

Irish Kiss in my opinion is Sienna Blake’s best work to date! This book was written perfectly and flowed without a hitch. It’s an emotional journey spanning over many years.

Some people are born into family. We get to choose ours. We make our own, forged out of our hearts and weaved together by the strings of our souls.

Saoirse is a young 13 yr old living with a Ma who is a whore addicted to drugs. Learning to survive as best as she can. When a ‘friend’ causes her to have a run in with the local Garda. Once she’s been processed and taken to her mother by the Garda who has been assigned to her, a friendship unlike any she has had before is formed.

Diarmuid is a JLO (Juvenile Liaison Officer) who has been assigned to Saoirse. Helping children is his life. Someone once helped him become the man that he is today. He has appreciated the loyal help given to him at a young age. Striving to help these troubled kids understand that they too mean something in this world and can make themselves better.

What neither of them saw was the bond these two would form. So strong yet so forbidden. Everyone against them yet the only thing these two needs is each other.

This is a story of sadness, it’s a story of love, a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Back stabbing to advance, to betrayal of a person whom you’ve chosen to spend a lifetime with. Trying to be the adult and doing the right thing to being the almost adult and trying to understand why things happen as they do.

Fantastic slow burning love story that will form a serotonin molecule in your heart!

Sienna Blake at her very best! She gives you a heart ripping, grief-ridden, forbidden love story. Set in Ireland and told in alternating POVs. The story of Saoirse and Diarmuid is complicated, messy and so full of pure love.
“So, you and me…” I said, “we’re soul family?” He smiled. “Yeah. We are.”
Saoirse Bryne, is thirteen when we meet her, naïve yet mature, brilliant, vulnerable, and tough. Trapped in a dump of a home with a drug-addicted, incompetent, and uncaring whore of a mother and a notorious drug pusher of a father. She's suffering for love & attention as well as basic needs like food and clothes.
“She might have looked like a tiny doll but her soul was old, already hardened and calloused. At thirteen this girl already knew how unfair and cruel life could be.”
Diarmuid Brennan is a 24-year-old Juvenile Liaison Officer for troubled youths. Saoirse is assigned to him and he takes her under his wing, guiding her, giving her safety, and hope. He loses his heart and soul to her as she does to him. Dairmuid is caught between his heart and mind. His heart wants and needs her, but he knows it’s wrong with his job position and age.
“He was the first person who ever treated me like an adult. Like my thoughts and words mattered. Like I mattered.”
“He had been my world. My hope. My guiding light. He had been safety. Security. Unconditional love. Unconditional…until it wasn’t. Until he left, taking it all away.”

A push-pull relationship that embroils sacrificing your own wants and needs to save the one you love. The powerful, everlasting love story of Saoirse and Diarmuid grabbed me at page one and captivated me until the very last page. It’s all-consuming, deep, seductive, and so emotional. Fantastic read!

I'm not going to be able to finish reading this book. The age gap of this love story is predatory. They meet when she is 13 and he is 23. The author does try to show that she's mature for her age and at 17 looks 21 & now he is 28, but thats still UNDERAGE. Although when you are a legal adult at 21 an age gap means nothing, but meeting someone that young and when you are an adult is always predatory.

If you are a fan of angsty, taboo reads...then Irish Kiss needs to be on your reading list!

Sienna Blake has another hit on her hands and I cannot wait to see what follows Irish Kiss!

One of my favorite things about a taboo read is they are chalk full of all the heat, the need, and the forbidden aspect that you expect. Irish Kiss has all that and more and all the drama that surrounds Diarmuid and Saoirse kept my attention the whole time. I absolutely do have a favorite scene, but since I'm not a spoiler...you'll just have to read it yourself! I promise it's worth it!

It was a pretty long read for me. Took me probably about 6 hours? I had to read it in a couple sittings...but the whole time I had it put away...I had it in the back of my mind...wondering when I would have the opportunity to get back to it. I was hooked!

There are a couple of secondary characters which I cannot wait to see what happens there. Lots of hot potential!

Irish Kiss is told in alternating first person POV, which is one of my favorites! You really get a well rounded story this way, understanding what each is thinking or feeling.

I am giving Irish Kiss 5 stars for its heat factor, the fact that it kept me interested and the HEA that we get! Loved this and can't wait for more!

Irish Kiss is my first book by Sienna Blake. I started out loving it; the writing is great and very detailed. The chemistry between the characters is strong, with a great storyline and dialogue. Unfortunately, for me, it was too long and too drawn out. It goes back and forth between Now and Then as well as dual POV, which I found just became too repetitive. I think I would have loved it if it were two books.

Dairmuid Brennan is sweet and kind; he loves “his kids.” He’s a Juvenile Liaison Officer for teens to help keep them out of jail. His position of authority makes his situation very difficult. His feelings for Saoirse are pure and true, wrong. Saoirse Quinn’s home life is sad and just absolutely horrible. When you think she’s finally been given a break, finally free….it’s just a new horrible. I really felt for her. It’s troubling at times with the age difference, but I found myself accepting and even approving of their love story.

Even though I gave it three stars, I’d give this author another try. I did like her writing style and she had some really emotional and sensual scenes.

I absolutely loved this forbidden age gap romance on my first read. And a reread just solidified it for me.
It’s a bit of a slow burn, but it definitely worked.
Saoirse is 14 when Diarmuid becomes her juvenile liaison officer and he realizes that no one is looking out for her or taking care of her and he takes on that responsibility.
They immediately feel a connection to each other and become best friends. And no, he doesn’t look at her like that at this point, he just wants to help her.
Circumstances force them apart and they don’t see each other again until three years later, right around her 18th birthday, and that’s when he starts to see her differently.
Their story has a ton of turns, and the tension is fantastic.
I get that this kind of forbidden romance isn’t for everyone, but they’re one of my favorites when they’re done right.

This was everything for my forbidden dreams heart. If you like an age gap that makes you question your taste this is for you. I truly believe if you like the age gap in WTTDS this is a book you would enjoy. Like this relationship is so forbidden but you just can’t look away. The start of the relationship is a friendship/ protector relationship as time goes on you see how the forbidden line is pulled. At times the heroine drove me a little crazy and but if you don’t have a somewhat unstable heroine in a large age gap it’s unbelievable to me. Yes you can be mature but if you got it all together it doesn’t make sense. Anyways I loved this book.

If you like
- slow burns
- Age gaps
- Friends to lovers
- Crime/ cop romance
- Forbidden Romance
- Secret relationship
Give Diarmuid and Saoise a chance!

For me, no one knows how to dig into the human heart, emotions and frailties like Sienna.
Having had the opportunity to read and review her Dark Romeo series and other books, I was really excited about Irish Kiss. Sienna never disappoints and once again, we have a rare gem on our hands.
This is one of those cases when I do not go in with a blank slate, because I know what is coming friends and I cannot ignore it! I know it will be rough, poignant, that I will sure be crying a little and always pray that it will end well! I have now my routine when it comes to Sienna’s books; I am prepared and keep a box of Kleenex handy just in case!
Saoirse and Diarmuid are really very complex characters and with Sienna they usually are, passions run deep. There is one huge factor going against them from the moment they meet and that is the massive age difference.

He was already a full blown adult at their first meeting and she was just 14. Of course, that is not the only difficulty, but the fun of it is that I do not give you too many details there. The story span across a number of years, you will see once you read the book.
There are secondary characters that I very much enjoyed, like Diarmuid’s 2 besties and Saoirse’s neighbor. I am actually wondering when I am writing this if we are going to get more books this time focused on the besties? I am just speculating here but based on the tagline, methinks I could be right; time will tell!
As usual, I am trying very hard not to drop spoilers, because I would be doing you a great disservice, but know that Irish Kiss is bloody well amazing, that I read it in one go and used 3 tissues! Yes, I cried on a few occasions while reading!
It will come then as no surprise when I tell you this it is SUPER HIGHLY recommended and there is no way you are not going to love the emotional rollercoaster that is this book! I really hope you love it as much as I did!

Irish Kiss by Sienna Blake is a complex, unique and addicting story. It shows the characters in the past and in the present. It is sort of a taboo story about a teenage girl and a man who’s a decade older than her –he is her juvenile liaison officer which meant he held a position of authority over her. I didn’t know what to make of Saoirse and Diarmuid- their love story is messy, complicated yet they love each other. The story starts when they first met. Saoirse has a father in jail and a completely neglectful mother. Diarmuid gets assigned to her and he is the type of person who goes beyond what the job detailed for “his children”. He wasn’t a bad guy, just someone who would go the extra mile yet when it came to Saoirse he went so far extra; he met her when she was 13 and rescued her. Their story is spread out and told. Saoirse fell in love with Diarmuid –saw him as her soulmate, as the only person that understood her. The love story part doesn’t come into play until she is of legal age. There's lots of twists and turns throughout this story to keep the readers hooked throughout from start to finish. As I mentioned, this is a story that is complex and is complicated. There is a villain in the story and I wish I found out what ever happened to said villain. It was as if that was rushed thru to get to ending and I would have liked that not to have been rushed but overall this was a beautiful love story with a handsome, alpha male and a beautiful, sweet woman.

My Rating: 4.6 stars *****

5 STARS

I don't know how Sienna does it. She continually brings us these amazing characters that we fall in love with. She also rips our hearts out, stomps on them a bit, then puts it back together piece by piece.

Saoirse is a kid who was unlucky enough to be born into a life no one should live. One wrong choice lands her in the hands of Diarmuid, a parole officer of sorts, who wants nothing more than to protect her.

Diarmuid knows that Saoirse is special and completely off limits. But the more time they spend together, the more time he realizes that his relationship with her goes beyond making sure she stays out of trouble.

Theirs is a beautiful tale of trust, respect, heartbreak, forgiveness and most importantly love. There is a beautiful Irish legend behind the nickname that Diarmuid gives to Saoirse, and it will give you all the feels.  This book is full of want, need, heat, and lots of turmoil, but also with beautifully tender moments, that will make you want to hop on a plane to Ireland and find yourself a big brawny Irishman.

I took my time reading this book because I wanted to absorb every single word and feeling between these two, and it was absolutely worth it.  If you love taboo love stories, ones that will make your heart race, then this book is for you.

If you’re prepared to set aside your verdict until the final word is written…

Here's our story

Fkfkfkfkfk

ADORED
I ABSOLUTELY ADORED THIS OMFG I AM CRYING!!!

5++ STARS!!

The story the drama the easy going love and all that pain in it.

Soirse comes from a family that consists of a whore mother and deadbeat criminal father and she get's assigned to our beloved hero who happens to be a JLO!

And then comes selkie and skin and ahhhh.. Apple pies

Since he is an adult and she's basically a kid, he takes care of her and she..well she starts that hero worship and falls in love.

While I don't like hero and heroines having their own baggage of exes or anything, this time I was okay when the hero already had a girlfriend and who's story was ABSOLUTELY PREDICTABLE!

okay okay I don't wanna give away the entire story.
Some of the scenes were so fkn adorable and I just lovvvved it.

“So, you and me…” I said, “we’re soul family?” He smiled. “Yeah. We are.”

I am SO SO glad to finally have a quality read!

This book will take the reader from one end of the emotional spectrum to the opposite end. Hate, anger, love, pain and a hope that all works out in the end. The reader never knows where the story will lead next.

I had a hard time at first because of Saoirse's living situation. Lot of anger towards a person who should have cared more.

Then she meets up with Diarmuid and seems like she has found her hero. Turns out that's not so true in the first years of their relationship. As much as she loves this man, she is far too young for him. Either way, I was sad that Saoirse is once again left to her own devices.

Finally, closer to the end, Saorise is older now (although not old enough) that when they meet up again, Diarmuid is tempted by her beauty but still balks at her age.

Will they find a way to be together or will they be torn apart again?

This is a great read and one that this reviewer would highly recommend.

This novel is a heart shredding, angst filled forbidden love story. The story of Saoirse and Diarmuid is complex, chaotic and so full of love. Sienna Blake has done a spectacular job of telling their story, I loved that it was told in alternating point of view. This allowed for a deeper emotional connection to the characters by viewing situations from their perspective. I loved that this book spanned as long as it did, from them first meeting when Saoirse was 13 right up to the HEA. The length of the book was perfect, it isn’t a quick read but the quality, the sweet moments and the ending make up for it. This was the first book I had read by the author, it definitely won’t be the last.

Not everyone is able to do correctly the forbidden aspect of a romance but the author did it brillantly, we could feel the pull between them and the battle the hero was fighting with himself To resist his attraction for saoirse, the fact that we were able to see their relationship grow made the connection and the angst between them even stronger. But i gave 3 stars because the unnessary drama at the end messed it up a little bit for me.
SPOILER
The drama with Ava at the end was a little bit too soap opera for me. And i hated the fact that saoirse went To Australia and tried To move on with an another Man, that was a big no for me!

This is the story of Saoirse and Diarmuid who meet when she is only 13, please note although this a slightly taboo story nothing happens until years later.

The premise of the story the way the two main characters meet and the position of authority he is in was not something I’ve read before.

I liked both Saoirse and Diarmuid, neither of them have had easy lives and although I enjoyed the story at times I felt parts dragged.

Overall a good four star book.

I am pleasantly pleased with this book. The age difference between Diarmuid and Saoirse didn't bother one bit, because I actually know of a few people with that age gap and they're happy as can be. Diarmuid is such a sexy dream boat. And the journey to his HEA with Saoirse! My poor heart has had quite a few jolts this past week, and I am gladly welcoming them.
As always, Sienna Blake writes an amazing story with amazing characters; raw and angsty. That slow burn though. *DIES*

This book showed up as an as on my Facebook with a blurb about it, and it caught my attention. I loved this book until about the 70% mark.

I felt that a lot could have been cut out to make this a strong story, I wish the hero wasn’t so damn wishy washy, it got so old, and then Sooo much drama, some including other woman drama on top of family drama, and job drama, it was just too much. It’s sad because the foundation of this story could’ve been so good.

It wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t that great.

It's taboo. It's wildly inappropriate. But once you get over your personal judgment of those thoughts, it's a beautiful love story.
It's a beginning.
It's sad.
It's troubling.
It's got hot accents and names that will take you a few attempts to pronounce correctly.
It's romantic.
It's going to make your insides smile.
Irish Kiss is complicated, sweet, and endearing. It's also hot, sexy, and all kinds of right.

I'm a an emotional reader, Sienna's writing is always permeated with emotions. We are a perfect match. I'm at a point that I will read anything of her only because I saw her name, without even reading the blurb.

Contemporary romance, or as contemporary as a book in Ireland can be. Based on the Selkie myth. Taboo read, full of angst.

Romance, with dual-POV.

Emotional; beautiful; poignant!!!

Addictiveness: Not an easy read. It is long, complex, painful and beautiful. I believe the best option should be at least two sittings. Not only because of the length, but also so the reader can have a breathing time. I had a hard time putting it down!
Character: hero 5/5, heroine 5/5, secondary characters 4/5, growth 5/5, real 4/5  Diarmuid is amazing. Really, this is not an easy path for him, specially when he is the only adult of the situation. Saoirse is such a sweet girl. So strong, at the same time so fragile. She overcomes so much. Her growth is beautiful and painful to follow. Ms. Blake's characters are real. The connection you get with them is so strong that is hard to let go even after you finish the book.
Cover: art 5/5, title 5/5, subtitle 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5 Beautiful! An easy choice. I would buy this book without reading the blurb, only because the cover art and title.
Freshness: This is UNIQUE! Is different, unusual, nothing like you have read before.
Plot: believable 4/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 3/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 5/5  Superb! Cohesive, that kept you guessing and wanting more at the end. Full of ups and downs, so much like real life that is scary. Plays with your emotions and with your beliefs. Is taboo, and logically you want to remember how wrong this feels, but the plot permeates your pores and the characters brand your soul.
Romance: believable 4/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 4/5 This is a love journey. As most journeys is full of difficult paths. It hurts! Is cures! It blows your mind. Sweet and sour!
Writing Style: We all have our favorites, Sienna's writing is easily becoming one of mine. She writes love stories that hurt and feel real. Complex plot, multi-dimensional characters equals a book  filled with feelings. What else would I need from a love story?

Maybe the pace. It does feels a bit dragging at times. It is a bit too long, but at the same time, it needs to be long so when can truly enjoy their journey.

Ms. Blake is not a light, fun read. At least none of the books I have read from her were. But if you enjoy amazing romance with a bit of angst, she is a MUST READ!!!!!

Her writing is creative and her characters are real.

Overall

Action 2/5
Angst 5/5
Darkness 2/5
Humor 0/5
Romance 5/5
Suspense/Mystery 0/5
Would I recommend? I would recommend this book for everyone that enjoy angst romance. In fact, this is a MUST READ!
Would I re-read this book? Definitely!!!
Would I re-read this series? Yes!!!
Would I read more from the author? I feel like I must read everything from Ms. Blake.

You MAY read this because you follow the author; you SHOULD read this because you like amazing characters; you MUST read this because you enjoy GREAT romance that plays with your emotions!!!!!

“I’ve always been yours. And I will never leave you. I am as permanent as the ink over your heart, as the blood in your veins.”

This was a pretty good, slow burn, age gap, story. It took me about 20% to get into it, I’m not sure why. I think I just didn’t connect with the characters. Also, a lot of the focus was on what happened in the past which can be fun and interesting but in this case I feel it stalled the forward momentum of the story. All in all I enjoyed the read and would recommend it to others but I don’t see myself adding it to my re-read shelf.

Wow. This book was GREAT! Not at all what I expected. It was BETTER. It sent me through the emotional ringer. Never have I EVER cried happy tears in a novel. But I did when I read Irish Kiss.
This book was excellent. I just one clicked the entire series.

I DNF’d this. Just wasn’t for me. And I can’t bring myself to pick it back up. Unfortunately.
