About the author

This book drew me in immediately, I’m a sucker for Asian Fantasy Dramas & Anime, and this story could be perfect for either cause that’s how this story played him my head, I was able to visualize it that well.

I’m Familiar with J.S.Lee and Ive read every book she’s ever written and I highly recommend reading her books!

Review for Of Magic and Lies by Caia Daniels and April Canavan

*Spoiler Alert*
In this book America has gone through a war which has changed the country but not for the better. As most of the cities have fallen and only a few remain including Chicago which is where Adrien (MFC) works as an agent protecting humans from human traffickers by any means necessary including using her powers. She has to keep quiet about because shes a witch and most humans dont know about Supernaturals. Shes a witch thats destined to be the next Voodoo Queen of New Orleans (NOLA) which she has no intention of taking up but things are taken out of her hands and she has to return home. With plenty of complications which include her boyfriend - Pierce, her Ex-Boyfriend & Demon - Eitan and hot new guy - Declan. This is a face-paced book full of plot twists and turns but at the heart of it is a fantastic story and the characters make it even better. Just great!

Review of Cursed Luck by C.L Coffey and J.S Lee

In this book Luck attaches itself to Kia (FMC) and shes not feeling particularly lucky it is. As it brings her nothing but the bad kind as well as folks trying to kill her to get it from her. This is until 3 guys - Song, Jae and Gun turn up to help her. Taking her on a joyride of discovery concluding in an ending that i didnt see coming and was knockout. Great book

Hamals Dancer - Joel Crofoot
A demon & an angel meet at The Abbey.........
Sounds like the beginning of a bad religious joke right...but this book is anything but bad, religious or a joke. It's about the loss of the innocence of youth due to the realisation that life can be cruel. It's also a beautiful romance intertwined with redemption. Its action packed without being rushed or relying on convenient story plot lines. I thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so I re-read it immediately and enjoyed it all over again.

I read Marika Ray's book the Cult Queen and really enjoyed it. Marika Ray is a new author to me so i was quite pleasantly surprised with this book. It was very well written and i can't wait for more of their story

I received an ARC of The Cult Queen and this is the only book I'm reviewing.
This is Marika's first urban fantasy and I have to say she has done a wonderful job with it. This is Ali and Volos' story. Ali comes to realize that not everything is as it seems. Ali learns that she wields a specials kind of magic and I loved the suspense. Marika kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole book. I cannot wait to see what she has in store for book 2!

I just finished Bella Emy & Allysa Drake's Eternally Yours. I was drawn to this story by my love of vampires. This is Ava and Leo's story. They are both detectives. Leo believes in vampires, while Ava thinks it's all a myth until a case they are working on seems to prove otherwise. Will Ava and Leo solve the murders and will a vampire be the culprit? You will just have to read the story to find out? This story was full of mystery and a twist that I didn't quite see coming! I look forward to reading more from these ladies in the future.

Review of Apollo's Protection by Anna Edward's and Claire Marta.

This story had me on the edge of my seat, a book that had me so engrossed from the first page I couldn't put it down,( even at work, I had to read a chapter to my manager.)
magical/paranormal books arnt normally my go to read but damn these ladies have changed all that for me.

Apollo and fontus are sex and fire all wrapped up in eva.

The characters in this book made me feel everything love, loss and immense anger.


It's a definite must read, bravo ladies I'm converted and I love it!!

Marika Ray has the unique ability to create stories that span many literary genres. From her Beach Squad Series, to Rom-Com’s and finally to her latest book, “The Cult Queen”, which is an Urban Fantasy. Her books make you think, laugh and imagine a world where magic is a part of everyday life.

I love the central character, Ali, because she has a zest for life, is eager to pursue justice in her job as an investigative reporter and is very close to her family. She loves to chase stories, follow clues and never gives up until she gets the answers she is looking for. Ali has an open mind when it comes to the world and she didn’t get too upset when strange things started happening to her, but she did question her sanity. Her parents have always been protective over her, but Ali knew they did it out of love for her. She often thought about her biological parents and when she found herself investigating the re-emergence of a cult, she realized that facing the truth requires a little magic to exorcise the demons of your past.

1. UNMASKED by NIKKI LANDIS
Since Nikki Landis is one of my go-to authors and I know her work, I wanted to read and review this new book she's put out. "Unmasked" is a hard-hitting, fast-paced, erotically charged story introducing us to Veronica and Geron who came in contact with each other at a Halloween Party. You'll just love these characters. After you read this, I'm sure you'll feel the same way I do and want to read more of this couple. If this book is a representative of the caliber of work in this anthology, there is a gold mine within these pages that you won't want to let slip by.

2. GAMBLED SOUL by KELSIE RAE
Kelsie Rae is a new author for me but I was thrilled to be given a copy of this book to read. The characters and plot pulled me in immediately and the plot continued to hang onto me and literally pull me through. This was an exciting read that kept me spellbound.

3. THE ROSE OF STONE by LEIGH ANDERSON & ALICE WILDE
I've read several of Alice Wilde's book before but Leigh Anderson is a new author to me. I wouldn't even be able to differentiate between who wrote what part of the storyline it flows so seamlessly. The world-building is phenomenal and the characters have such personalities they are relatable in many ways with their strong sense of standards. This is a remarkable tale that kept me on the edge of my seat to see what happens next. I'll be sure to watch for the next part of this series because I definitely want more.
If these books are representative of the caliber of work in this anthology, there is a gold mine within these pages that you won't want to let slip by.

Big Claire Marta fan and was so excited to get to read this. It did not disappoint, and now Anna Edwards is on my radar too, along with this series. These two wrote such a great book that sucked me right in.

A missing demigoddess leads to a great story that will leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. I know, I already looked for more books in this series. The three of them have to work together to get the answers they need, while protecting and saving each other. All while falling in love with some sexy af times..whew. This book is darker themed, and there are some things that could be triggers for some. This book really had it all and an hea. Loved it and definitely want to read more...nowish.

I thought that this was an exceedingly enjoyable collection of PNR and urban fantasy reads. There is a lot of variety here, so I'm fairly certain you will find something that appeals to you whether you prefer demon, angels, gods, shifters, vamps, witches or the fae. These entertaining magic filled stories are filled with drama, action, excitement, danger, emotions and passion. My favorite of this collection was Apollo's Protection by Anna Edwards and Claire Marta. This story focuses on Apollo, Eva and Fontus. I found it very easy to get swept up in this fast paced, steam packed, emotional read. A well developed world, multifaceted characters and a strong storyline make this the one not to miss. I am electing to post a voluntary review.

She lives under the thumb of her father and his security people. But once a year she likes to go to a Halloween party. Dressing up and donning a mask lets her escape her current life. Then she meets Geron at the party. She goes home with him but sneaks out the next morning. Imagine her surprise when he shows up the next night at another masked party. But when she goes home her father is furious that she escaped her security detail again. He put more security on her. But she is in for a surprise. Her father is involved with the mob, Geron is someone she knew from the past, and one of her father's "business partners" . How will she and Geron escape?
