4.5 stars~ Oh I love this flawed Greek mafia couple!!! Next is Alesso's story with Stella (Maya's best friend)!

Loved the final part of the Mafia Vows duet featuring Damen and Maya and enjoyed following them on their complicated journey. The plot is tightly woven, the characters complex and intriguing and there is plenty of action, drama, suspense, romance with steamy moments thrown into the mix. It was great to see how these two learn to work together rather than against one another. There is a great cast of secondary characters and I can hardly wait to read their stories. A solid 4 stars read! 🧡

Another incredible mafia story
It had everything it needed to be a great story. The author hot everything; suspense, thrills, hot sex, and a little of bit of torture.

The Promise is the last of the duet/trilogy and what a promise it is. Damen and Maya have finally come together but still, have not admitted their feelings for each other. There is so much they need to get through but are together in the sense that they are willing to take steps to do that.
Damen and Maya not only have to fight for their future if they want one, but they both have issues in their past that need to be taken care of. And after finding out what happened in the last book, you will understand why.
After everything that Damen and Maya have gone through, they deserve a happy ending. And I could not stop reading until I saw that they got one. I was up until 1 a.m. making sure they got one. These books are so well worth the read.

If you like mafia romances, you'll enjoy this story. Maya and Damen captured my heart and know they will yours. As you can imagine there is no shortage of drama or danger. The chemistry is explosive and the twists are ever-coming. A good read with likable characters and an engaging story. Well-written with strong characters. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review. The book is a little dark and does have some grief triggers.

Lots of mob stuff in this one. Interesting turn of events the Damon I don’t love her thing got old after awhile, but thank goodness it didn’t last the whole book. Alessio’s story got set up nicely a definite read.

This was book 2 in the
"Mafia Vows"
series. This was a really good read with a lot of action in it. Damen will do anything to protect Maya. Damen and Maya married out of allegiance to his mob boss and not for love. Maya can't help wondering just how far Damen’s loyalty goes when it comes to her and the criminal whom he serves, and she also wonders if he has feelings for her. This book had some really hot sex scenes in it. This book was full of action, and I loved it. This book did have a few errors in grammar but nothing too serious. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I love Damen and Maya. We pick up right where we left off with Maya and her mother taken by Costas. Not knowing what’s going to happen, Maya hangs on by a thread and will die fighting for her last breath. Hearing her mother’s cries is killing her and knowing what is about to happen to her is something she will have to deal with if she makes it through. Damen is distraught when he finds her and her mother, he loves her but doesn’t feel worthy of her and doesn’t think he can give Maya what she needs and she needs to hear those words. These two are a pair, the love they have for each other is explosive and it’s right there at the forefront and all they have to do is get out of their own way. What started out as fake turned so real so quickly neither knows how to handle it. I loved that Alessio, Markos and Andrius were all intertwined in their story, they are family and now that’s Alessio has is sights on Stella, well all heck’s going to break loose and I can’t wait! Damen and Maya are deliciously sexy, steamy, amazing banter, you can’t help but love them and root for their HEA! Great read and can’t wait for what’s next! I received an advance copy of this book.

The end for Damen and Maya, but not for Alesso...
This book accomplished two things for me- it wrapped up Damen and Maya's story, and also laid solid groundwork for Alesso and Stella's story (book 1 releases in October- eek!). I will be holding off on that until all of the books are out because homey don't play with cliffhangers, but I'm excited nonetheless. This was my second duet + prequel (sort of a trilogy?) from this author, and I am a fan of what she's got going here. Crazy alphas with some emotional issues? Check. Suspense and danger? Check. Bringing the hotness? Double check. As in, I'll be double-checking out these hotties!
I enjoyed the story of Damen and Maya, although I do wish a couple of loose ends had been tied up as far as villains. However, it looks like this will get resolved in Alesso's story, so fingers crossed.
Can't wait to find out when the full set of books will be out so I can plan my binge.

This is the second book in this duet and I do recommend reading them in order. Damen will do anything to get Maya and her mother back after her crazy half-brother kidnaps them to use as bait. Maya is done being used and overlooked by men. She is going to fight and get her revenge; she also wants love and if Damen isn’t really to give her that then she will walk away. Will she get what she seeks? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, emotion and suspense. These alpha men are hot! I loved it!

Continuing the story of Damen and Maya, the cliffhanger is resolved immediately if not tragically. And it seriously affects Maya because her Mother dies and Maya is almost raped. However, Costas who kidnapped her is allowed to leave by his father, Samatis.
The constant threats, her Mother’s death and the near rape gets Damen to hire a therapist for Maya. He’s hoping to help her through this trauma not realizing that his inability to communicate his love for her is just as stifling.
I loved Maya. I loved how she fought against those trying to hurt or control her. That while she battled her issues, she still fought for what she knew deserved. She took no shit from Damen realizing that if he couldn’t communicate she couldn’t stay. She grew into her role as the Queen of their criminal family especially when she witnessed Costas death.
This was the perfect blend of the elements I love in a mafia romance novel. The violence and retribution, the love and spicy sex between the main characters, the friendship of the men in the criminal enterprise and just enough twists and turns to keep you engaged in the story. Damen and Mya gets their HEA.
Onto the next one in the series.

HOLY. JESUS. OMG.
Maya and Damen is officially my FAVORITE couple out of all S.R. Jones' works! Jezuz these two! They were explosive, crazy and totally perfect for each other! They match each other and gosh their chemistry was off the freakin' charts! I could practically feel it right through my phone. LOL. Maya just got listed to my Top 5 favorite heroines. IMHO, I seldom find heroines that I absolutely love, but dear Maya here.. she gave me no choice! ♥
Their story was action-packed, gritty, emotional and steamy! I finished the prequel novella and the two full-length novels in 1 day. It's that good! Every page makes me hold my breath. I think I need a moment before I move on to the next book.

Good read 😃
This was not as mind blowing as the 1st one, maybe because I knew all the characters and could pretty much anticipate what was going to happen. I found Maya kind of bratty. And is wasn’t very believable how Damien came to the realization that he loved Maya. It didn’t flow as well, but still enough intrigue to warrant 4 stars.
I also don’t get how Maya thinks or thought she would be able to keep Stella out of her lifestyle and continue to hang out with her. I found it interesting how no one ever listened to Stella. Everyone kept telling a grown woman what was best for her. Just my thoughts, but I would still recommend

Love maya damien the always talking about damien to say he loved her over and over from her his friend .got annoying bc it was I read that 5 times already . I love adrius I like a bad ass alpha scary he was loyally to his friend they called he was right there to help out no ? Ask .he was fearless. I don't know why they always said he was crazy . Oh not right in head they were killers too . Oh that kidnapping I knew who was behind it .I prayed they wouldn't . I love these series . Here I come stella . They do have some pretty funny parts in these stories . She has wrote darn good stories.

Excellent second book for this series.
This is the continuation of Damen and Maya's story, their story starts in The Debt please be sure to read that book first. While this book does wrap up Damen and Maya's story it is in no way the end of this awesome series. The Pledge is next and will feature Alesso and Stella plus I'm sure we will still get more on Maya and Damen as well. I have found these first two books quite intriguing, the twists and turns that keep popping up continue to suck me further into this wonderful series. Definitely recommend as a must read!!

The explosive story of Damen and Maya continues in this epic story. There are so many enemies, so many things that can go wrong but Damen and Maya's chemistry still flares, lots of bickering and lots of making up sex! It's ending is a little far fetched, I mean how many times can someone's best friend get kidnapped ffs!? But I'll be reading on because I'm sure the next instalment will cover Stella and Allesso. I really hope Markos gets his own story too.. he's so mysterious and quiet I would love to see how his love interests evolves

This is a very amazing series so far! This is the second book in the series. I didn't rate the first book because it ended in a cliff hanger and I had to read this the second book! I'm off to read the third book.! I could tell after a couple of pages into the first book it was going to be amazing!! By the way if a book doesn't grab me right off and I don't feel it, I don't or can't waist my time on it! That is why I have so few three star ratings or less. So here we go on too book three!

Maya has been captured and Damen will move mountains to see her safely returned.
The story continues with the plot twisting and turning, the drama and violence fierce and the emotional level rating rating high.
It’s an extremely intense read, the writing was excellent and very well developed, and the characters are charismatic and strong. Great secondary characters, some from previous series I need to explore!
I did enjoy this book immensely and I highly recommend it!

Cliff hanger
Yes... we finish the story started in book 1 with Maya and Damen and end with a cliff hanger with another couple...
Damen has issues that stop him completely giving to Maya and he is at risk of losing it all. It didn't completely grab me and I'm not sure I'll read the next in the series as I have read a few others in this genre that had more suspense. I read a review that mentioned it's translated and I wonder if some was lost in the process...

Maya and Deman
This was an excellent story that had a list of characters that were so richly woven throughout. Most were bad in their pursuits but the main characters were honest and loyal. The storyline were. Well developed and action packed. This was a Mafia themed story and rich in detail. It was a "couldn't put down for a minute" style book.
Definitely a worthwhile read in my estimation.

Fore and Ice
On the surface they are both cool calm and collected. But underneath the are both simmering lava. The trigger is each other. Damen and Maya go through so much together in this the next installment of the series. First is The Contract (prequel). Second is The Debt and now this one. All 3 books center around Maya and Damen. If you get the chance grab this series, you will love it.

Exhilarating!
I devoured this in a few hours. It’s been a while since a book kept me so engaged. I’ve been on the edge of my seat for almost the whole book. One chapter closed and another begins. I love the seamless transition as we shift to another set of characters. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Sorry It Had To End This Way...
"The Promise" was very promising up until the point where Costas was "taken care of." The book could have ended there and it would have been just fine. The remainder of the story just dragged and dwindled out into this anticlimactic situation where Stella was taken to make way for the next Installment. Sorry it had to end this way.

Sweet and intense
This was intense and sweet.
The sex scenes are a bit bland for my tastes but the drama is A +. Maya's mom died and I did NOT see that coming. I'm glad that they found love in their marriage.

This was intense and sweet.
The sex scenes are a bit bland for my tastes but the drama is A +. Maya's mom died and I did NOT see that coming. I'm glad that they found love in their marriage.

Best than the first
Usually when it comes to.mafia romances I stick with Vanessa Waltz. I'm proud to say that I'm glad I found another author. Maya and Damen were much better in this one. Maya stood her ground and found her place and Damen learned he can be a better man. Look forward to Stella and Alessio story

Great Conclusion
I loved the conclusion to Damen and Maya's story. Maya was forced to grow up too quickly. She experienced alot of heartache and loss. Damen stood by her side always. He proved to Maya he was loyal, loveable and the man she always knew he was inside. The epilogue means something drastic has happened. Book three has the answers.

Loved it..
Starting from The Contract, then The Debt and now finished in this book, had been such a roller coaster ride. I loved the journey Damen and Maya have to go on to realise that together they are strong, but apart are so miserable. The friendship between the 'brother's make this series so special. I can't wait to read the next one...a must read.
