This book gets straight into it, doesn’t let up from there. I will admit I could have done with out all the RLTW, but hey, marketing right.

I’ve stayed away from books written by our generation of veterans. Don’t want the thoughts of their courage and sacrifice to be muddled by half truths, self-righteous and exaggerations. But figured since this was a work of fiction I would give it a shot.

Reads like slaughterhouse five, without the alien abductions and weirdness. I appreciated the truthfully fight scenes without all the acts of superhuman feats.

Entertaining and quick read, I like the writing and plot. Look forward to more of the series and hopefully Dom doesn’t go the way of Rambo and can actually lose a fight.

So to be totally honest, I wasn't really sure I knew what I was getting when I ordered this on kindle. I trusted that Vincent Vargas would be able to take me on a journey and I it would be a good read, but I was wrong. It was an awesome read! I can't say that this is my normal genre, because it's not. A lot going on in this story, but trust in the journey and I promise you will love it too. This will be a book I recommend to anyone and everyone I meet! I can't wait to see what he writes next!
