Oh my hell, Perdition brought me to my knees with all the feels! Jennifer Michael didn't hold back when it came to Teagan's story at all! In the aftermath of her brutal attack, Teagan couldn't function, nor deal with her family, or Kai, because she sort of blamed them, but mostly, she couldn't stand herself. So she spiraled, refusing help, she took off, and her life only got worse, as she did things to forget. And these things were decisions that she may never come back from, even when Kai found her again. Yeah, this was no easy read, as the pain radiated out of my kindle, and punched me right in the gut. The raw emotions was realistically portrayed to the point that I had to take breaks, not long ones mind you, because I had to see how it would all pan out, but enough of ones that I could catch my breath. The family dynamics were in full force, with issues as well, because when family feels powerless, things happen. So yeah, Ms. Michael nailed it with this story, and please understand, it wasn't an easy read, but it was a powerful one. And it was a story that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
