I never met Lilly & co. as a child (my mom is repelled by mice in any form, even in Beatrix Potter!) but oh my word how sweet they are. (Very glad my mom did not pass on her fear to me.) I totally didn't cry at all over Wemberly Worried. Not I! Nor did I laugh out loud at the just-for-grown-ups jokes, many times. 'Twasn't me who decided which character I most identify with (Chrysanthemum). Nope. Not at all. Very stoic reading of these stories. Mm-hmm. Delphinium Twinkle 5ever.

Spent an afternoon reading this with the kids. It's the perfect read aloud. We howled over Lilly's gloriously hilarious antics. But it's touching too and as I've lost all steeliness in the emotional somersault of parenthood, I teared up in an embarrassing amount of places.

Tomorrow will be better."

A collection of stories starring the lovely Lilly or her friends. Chrysanthemum, Wemberly Worried, and Lilly's Big Day are my favorites from this book.
