THE TOP 10 THINGS I LEARNED FROM THE MIRACLE EQUATION BY Hal Elrod.

This book is extraordinary--

While most books change your mind and thoughts, or simply seek to inform...

The Miracle Equation is the RARE book that actually changes your BEHAVIOR.

I'm a big Miracle Morning fan, and that was the great thing about it, too: it gave a process to use to make life better.

While that one gave you a step by step plan to BE better--The Miracle Equation gives you a process (and an equation, of course) to DO better.

It's the roadmap to do extraordinary things in your life.

So, here are some of the things that I've learned from Hal Elrod's The Miracle Equation:

1. How to develop Emotional Invincibility. It's the same process Hal used to accept and be OKAY with being told that he'd never walk again (he did, and then ran a 54 mile ultra-marathon, to boot), AND to remain happy and optimistic when told he'd have a 30% chance to survive his aggressive form of cancer (which he also did). Hal shared three techniques for this.

2. How to develop a MISSION. This is beyond a regular setting of a goal. It's the ONE thing you're accomplishing in life that will make you into the person you want to become.

3. What the true purpose of a goal is...and it's NOT the accomplishment of the goal. I KIND of knew this--but Hal put it so beautifully, and it's really inspiring. There really are no failures as long as you keep this mindset.

4. SIX specific, strategic steps to accomplishing that Mission discussed in #2. From how (and to whom) to make your Mission public, to being able to accomplish the other goals you have as side benefits to your Mission.

5. The 8 goal categories which matter most--and the criteria you need to use to develop your one Mission (and why it's important that it's ONLY one Mission at a time).

6. The Miracle Mantra--it's what you say to yourself, each and every day as an affirmation, to help change your behavior and get you to do things you haven't been able to do before. It's actually kind of amazing, and not at all like the affirmations you hear about that are really self lies (money flows easily to me...bs!)--this is about changing our BEHAVIOR, and it actually works!

7. FIVE ways to develop UNWAVERING FAITH (from the equation)...one of those is the Miracle Mantra mentioned in #6, which may be the most effective way of building that faith within yourself.

8. Three components to EXTRAORDINARY EFFORT. They're action-based, not what you hear about in the Secret, or 'manifestation' practices...no, these are good 'ole fashioned work, and they actually work. They include taking you out of your comfort zone, because that's how you get better and where the growth occurs.

9. Simple steps to create your MIRACLE AFFIRMATIONS. You know, affirmations have a bad rap...think Stuart Smalley on Saturday Night Live..."I"m good enough...I'm smart enough...and gosh darn it, people like me!" That is NOT how to do effective affirmations, and this book breaks it down beautifully the RIGHT way to do it. It's how to talk to yourself to make you better, and to direct your behavior into what you WANT it to be. It's pretty magical.

10. Lastly, this book gives some really good, very solid information you can internalize and USE to get yourself to do what you KNOW you should be doing (especially when you don't FEEL like it). It teaches to get past that resistance.

I love this book. As much as I loved the Miracle Morning (I've been doing that since 2014), this one is actually more practical in actually getting things DONE in your life.

And that's pretty priceless.

GET THIS BOOK, but more importantly--DO WHAT IT SAYS!!!

I respect what Hal has been through in his life and I liked the other books I’ve read from him. This one, however, is a “I’m better than you” lecture disguised as a self-help book... and a repetitive, poorly edited one at that.

Where do I start?

Hal Elrod is a genius. I’m genuinely amazed at his ability to take a very simple concept and stretch it out for several hundred pages.

Honestly, 99% of the information found in the book is in the subtitle. Have unwavering faith in your ability to succeed and put in the work to make your dreams a reality.

That’s it. That’s the message of the entire book.

1.5 stars rounded up to two because there were a few small tidbits of useful info.

Past a few weeks, I have been following the miracle morning routine with Ms. Bae,reading books and writing reports daily, especially while I am walking early in the morning. Now there is a follow-up book by Hal Elrod. Two decisions that move our goals to a reality 1) Unwavering faith and 2) Extra-ordinary effort. Deceptively simple yet rare in execution! That’s why so many people who read numerous self-help books never quite reach their destinies, nor just keep on reading more self-help books without accomplishment. The real purpose of every goal you set is to become the type of person who can consistently set and achieve significant goals. Hitting the goal itself is not the purpose of the goal. So regardless of the results, we must develop the mindset and behavior that will help us to achieve bigger and bigger goals for the rest of our lives.

I've read hundreds of non-fiction titles (mostly self help and business). There is absolutely nothing new here, and I think the author would agree with me. Still, it's solid info, told in a nice casual way. The book is absolutely solid in it's approach. It's not particularly memorable for me, but I would certainly recommend it. I haven't read any of his other books, so I don't come to this book with preconceived notions or expectations. Thanks very much for the free advanced copy. I'm sure this one will sell very well, and help lots and lots of people.

I appreciate the advanced copy for review.

I really enjoyed his first book, The Miracle Morning and was excited to read this one. I found the book to be oversimplified, believe you can do something and work really hard at it. The book was very difficult to get into and had to force myself to continue.

HIGHLIGHTS:
1. REPLACE FEAR WITH FAITH:
- Our brain naturally sees opportunities as a risk, which should be avoided.
- We have to take care of our brains so we don’t have irrational fears.

2. ENLIGHTENED ENTITLEMENT:
- Believing we are entitled to achieve.
- We deserve success.
- Own our actions.

3. EARNED LAZINESS:
- Accomplish important tasks before resting.
- Being too busy means you are focused on low-value tasks.

4. NEGATIVE EMOTIONS:
- Transforming negative emotions into miracles.
- Responsibility to choose my response.
- Unconditional acceptance of reality.
- Set 5 minutes to feel negative emotions. “Can’t change it” + accept reality, and move forward.

5. ACCEPTANCE IS FREEDOM:
- Emotional pain comes from not accepting the reality of what is happening and spending energy resisting.

6. EMOTIONAL INVINCIBILITY:
- Give yourself the gift of inner peace by accepting all unknown events.
- Release all resistance.
- Accept life before it happens.
- Emotional pain is self-created.

7. GOALS:

9. ACTIVE LANGUAGE:
- Use active language for affirmation. Affirm the presence. Convince the subconscious.
- My “why” will serve as a driver.

- Be consistent.
- Recite affirmation with an emotion. We need to feel emotions. Feel the affirmation.

10. LEVEL 10 ME:
- Move into the “Level 10” version of yourself.
- Commit to the process without being emotionally attached to the result.

MIRACLE MANTRA:
I am committed to maintaining unwavering faith that I will ____.

I will continue to put in the extraordinary effort until I do, no matter what.

Generally speaking Hal's message revolves around well-known premises of setting clear goals and splitting large missions up into smaller tasks. But what resonated with me was the recognition of the positive loop of determination and effort (which he expresses in terms of 'faith' and 'effort') that takes conscious steps to create, but should be able to sustain itself as long as your goals remain the same.

Elrod’s story is an amazing and inspiring one, and it’s why I continue to read his books. It’s just incomprehensible to think about all he’s been through — the car crash, the physical injuries, the cancer, etc. The fact that he’s still walking, living, and helping others speaks volumes to his character and resolve. I admire him tremendously.

Those struggle-filled stories are on full display yet again in this one. Overall, it’s a simple, effective book for achieving what you want in life, with an accompanying equation to help you do just that.

Content-wise, I think it’s is a mix of inspiring and “safe.” It’s got plenty of solid self-help wisdom, but it does also repeat some things that have been said before, including in his previous books. I still think it’s pretty good overall, however.

Those that are brand new to Elrod will like this one the best, while old fans will enjoy hearing from their mentor, even if some of the stories are a bit rehashed. In the end, it certainly does inspire you to live a better life, and that’s why I’m going four stars here.

I'm a Hal Elrod fangirl. Otherwise, I would never have read this book. But I love him so much that I was like, okay, let's see what this miracle equation is about (I had barely any idea what it was about going into this book, as I bought the audiobook on a whim).

This book was not something I felt was for me, as I don't have "big goals" I haven't already achieved (i.e. moving to Australia) or am not already pursuing (becoming a teacher and becoming a permanent resident in Australia). So listening to Hal was pleasant, but I didn't feel like I needed the advice given.

However, this book found me at the right time. There was one chapter, and only one, that was really useful, and this chapter is worth a lot of stars by itself, so that's why the whole book is easily a 4-star read to me. My mental health is not going great these days. I just spent one of the worst months of my life, mentally speaking. And then, hearing Hal talk about resilience, about emotional and inner peace, about the "can't change it" mindset, it all clicked. I felt like it resonated so deeply in me. I've wasted a month, not being able to function, because I couldn't find inner peace, because I was feeling so down, because I couldn't see a happy ending to my problems. I'm not sure I can yet, but at least, this book made me accept that I couldn't change things, and accepting this simple reality made everything better. I'm not out of the woods yet, and I will never really be (that's the sad reality of living with anxiety), but at least I have learnt to cope with certain aspects of anxiety thanks to this book.

Like I said, this book found me. I had no plan of reading it, I didn't even know it existed until I saw it featured on the Audible homepage, and I'm so grateful that it did. I'll listen to that chapter again, that's for sure. I don't ever want to forget it!

I’m really surprised by all the great ratings for this book. I adored his original Miracle Morning and have implemented it into day. This one just felt clunky and condescending. It just fell flat and as though he was forced to make more of the Miracle Morning and rushed putting this out there when the Miracle Morning was enough on its own. I also feel it’s directed more at people in sales/MLM type stuff, he spends a great deal of time talking about his sales days.

Aye, starting as classical self-help
Remind me How to live book, by start planning your life-long success story
Sounds like this book goes to visualization of your future, let me surprise.
Faith and effort (extra mile) is foundation plot of book.

tl;dr; future is what we will make it. So taking positive actions and encourage self to take risks as we are limitless to do things, not just sitting and hoping in corner.

>Life will throw you roadblocks occasionally, but seeing these as learning opportunities rather than hurdles is critical.

> Unwavering faith
> Extraordinary effort

>The other kind of miracle is something you create through belief and hard work.

>It’s normal and reasonable to be skeptical about miracles because it helps you use logic and make balanced decisions. On the other hand, that skepticism can quickly turn to cynicism, and when that happens, you don’t believe that anything you do will turn out well; you automatically think, “what is the point?” Understanding the two types of miracles can help you avoid this.

>You have to think that your end goal is possible, and that is something anyone can do.

>We automatically think we have to give up when we hit a roadblock, but our faith should keep us going.

>People have the false idea that Miracle Mavens are simply lucky people by nature, but that’s not the case; they are fortunate because they work hard for that luck; they make it happen.

>You will start to see synchronicities coming your way, and you might think it’s all from a higher power, but it’s important not to question it and simply embrace it.

>if you want to experience prosperity at a miraculous level, you must leave behind your old way of thinking and develop a new way of imagining what is possible for you to experience in your life.” We have forgotten that we are limitless, falsely believing we have limits and failing to realize that we are designed to achieve great things from birth

>Miracle Mavens choose to override fear with faith.

>Believe you deserve it, and it will come your way

>Most of us don’t believe deep down that we deserve anything significant. We think we only deserve what we have currently, and for that reason, we don’t try to achieve anything else; we stay where we are. But to achieve miracles, we need to believe we deserve them; if we don’t think about it, it’s not going to happen because we will simply find some excuse not to do it in the end.

>We fight for what we think we deserve, and everything else falls by the wayside.

>Dwelling on the negative emotions in your life is damaging.

>We become trapped by our limiting routines and don’t think to go outside our comfort zones and seek opportunities.

>Hope isn’t going to give you what you want. You need to take positive action and encourage your desires to head towards you.

Great book to start out the year with. I wanted to read the miracle morning but my library only had this one but I actually think I’m glad I read this one instead. I guess the process in the miracle morning is similar to the equation he puts together here. It’s pretty simple but I enjoyed the motivation and I ended up bumping up my goals to ones that I feel a little bit more “uncomfortable” with so that they stretch me further.

A Great follow on to The Miracle morning.

I just loved the miracle morning and this book gave more clarity to the practice. The process is outlined on how to achieve one's mission. This book is easy to read and takes the fear from setting your goals higher. There's also a method on how to deal with procrastination. Overall I feel this is a must read if one wishes to reach new heights.

Other than chapters 7 and 8, which explained the entire premise of the miracle equation, this book was a huge let down. It was essentially just the author telling us how amazing he was and how many sales he made at Cutco. Pass!

Just the book I need for this time in my life as I'm pursuing an impossible earning goal! Lots of practical information with some needed mindset shifting power. I love that this book exists!

“This book is about the kind of tangible, measurable miracles that require your active participation in producing them. They are more akin to making your biggest, scariest, and most improbable goals come true. These are the types of miracles that you have a significant degree of control over, meaning that you can consistently create them again and again in your life because you will understand how the process works. But to create this kind of miracle, first you must believe that the result you are seeking is possible and that you can produce it.” pg.14-15

“As we strive toward Level 10 success, the challenge is to find the balance between being happy and grateful and seeing the perfection of where we are now while following the innate human desire to grow and improve. The key is not to come from a place of I’m not good enough but rather from I am limitless, and I have more to give. It’s a subtle yet radical difference. It’s a difference that Miracle Mavens live by.” pg. 20

“Whereas most people habitually allow their fear and self-doubt to consume their thinking, Miracle Mavens choose to override fear with faith. They have a foundational mindset that they can and will win at everything they do, while simultaneously being willing to accept when they don’t win and quickly moving on. That way they can take advantage of more opportunities. Even if it means that they will fail some of the time, they still have more chances to win.” pg. 20

“Decision 1: I will establish and maintain Unwavering Faith that I can reach my goal of selling $20,000 during the push period, no matter what . . . there is no other option.
Decision 2: I will put forth Extraordinary Effort every single day until the last possible moment, regardless of my results along the way.” pg. 35

“After a while, we join the conformists and eventually buy into the whole ‘why I can’t be amazing’ song and dance. We accumulate an arsenal of self-sabotaging limitations that, for the most part, we don’t even realize we have. We put forth just enough effort to get by. We run through our days on autopilot, often with no clear goal or intention. We allow others to impose limits on us. Ultimately, we settle for less than we truly want and are capable of. In part, both our brains and our well-meaning friends and family members hold our life of miracles hostage.” pg. 54

“In order to become a Miracle Maven, you’re going to have to believe not only that your biggest goals and dreams are possible, probable, and inevitable . . . but that you deserve to achieve them. Without that last piece, you’ll never get to the goal because you don’t really believe you deserve to be there. You’ll always find an excuse to back away from your greatness. But when you believe that you’re entitled to success, you will fight for it.” pg. 60

Enlightened Entitlement, which is what we should all strive for, is characterized by the fundamental belief that each of us is just as deserving, worthy, and capable of creating and having anything we want for our lives (that is, anything we’re willing to put in the effort to achieve) as any other person on Earth. Nearly every great accomplishment begins with an individual believing that he or she is capable of putting forth the effort to accomplish it and that he or she deserves the subsequent success. This kind of entitlement is healthy and a prerequisite to creating tangible, measurable miracles. It reinforces our belief in our own potential and our recognition of that potential. To be clear, this is hard for many people, myself included. We turn away from recognition of our efforts. . . . Think about how much harder it is to pursue a goal when you don’t really feel that you deserve it. It’s virtually impossible to put in the effort necessary to create miraculous results when you don’t feel entitled to them.” pg. 60-61

“The order is less important than the fact that you must own that you deserve anything you want and are willing to put in the effort for, in order for the Miracle Equation to work. Miracle Mavens own their contribution and feel deserving of the rewards of their efforts.” pg. 61

“All those who have ever gone from being average to being extraordinary began by first seeing themselves as better than they had ever been in the past. They were willing to see a vision for themselves based on their limitless capabilities and then begin living in alignment with that vision. It’s rarely easy to do at first—few things are—as it can feel inauthentic. However, when you revisit that vision often (see: daily) over time, it comes to feel more and more true, because it is the real you. Eventually, over time, your new vision becomes your new identity and inevitably your new reality.” pg. 66

“I know that this is going to sound harsh, but I just have to get it out there: Every painful emotion that you have ever felt, are feeling now, and will ever feel in the future, was, is, and will be self-created by you and is completely optional. I’m talking about every painful or even unpleasant emotion that causes you any level of internal struggle.” pg. 79

“When the timer went off, Jesse taught us that we were to say the words ‘Can’t change it’ out loud, to acknowledge that if we can’t change something, then resisting it—spending emotional energy on it and wishing it were different—is not only pointless but painful. It creates internal emotional suffering but does nothing to change the event that you perceive to be the cause of your suffering.” pg. 81-82

“However, armed with the new awareness that it was my choice whether I continued to resist my reality or chose to fully accept what was now in the past and out of my control, I started choosing acceptance. I thought, Why spend the next four minutes upset, when I can spend them doing something proactive that will move me forward? I had begun building up my emotional invincibility, so to speak, and was able to choose unconditional acceptance that much faster.” pg. 82

“For as long as you resist and wish it were different, you will continue to create and perpetuate emotional pain. The moment you accept it, you will be free.” pg. 83

“I explain that there is only one cause of emotional pain, which can be summed up in one word: resistance. Simply put, all emotional pain that we have ever experienced, are experiencing now, or will ever experience in the future is self-created by our resistance to our reality. Resistance typically shows up in the form of wishing and wanting something to be different that can’t be. It might be wishing that something did or didn’t happen in the past, resisting something that is currently happening, or worrying (another form of resistance) about something that may or may not happen in the future. And it is the degree to which we resist our reality—the degree we wish or want something that is out of our control to be different—that determines the degree of emotional pain we experience.” pg. 90-91

“Our initial emotions aren’t the problem; it’s what we do with them beyond the initial feeling that can make or break us. . . .
When we judge our emotions as ‘bad’ or ‘wrong,’ we amplify the effect that the emotion has on us. . . .
Negatively charged emotions shouldn’t be viewed as the enemy. In fact, there is value in all emotions. If you lose something or someone important to you, feeling sad and grieving are not only natural, they can be healthy. And sometimes we need to feel the pain that resulted from a choice we made so that we won’t make that choice again. The distinction here is for you to be in control of your emotional state, rather than allowing circumstances and events that are out of your control to dictate your emotions.” pg. 95

“From that perspective, we can choose to replace our judgment with empathy and to love all people unconditionally. We can accept them as they are, while simultaneously holding space for them to become the best version of themselves.” pg. 97

“The real purpose of every goal you set is to become the type of person who can consistently set and achieve significant goals. In other words, the purpose of a goal is to develop the qualities and characteristics of a goal achiever. It is who you become through the process that will serve you for the rest of your life and trumps any short-lived achievement. Ultimately, you want to use each of your goals to develop the mindset and behaviors of a Miracle Maven. You get there by applying the Miracle Equation to each goal, over and over again, thereby making your long-term success inevitable. Each goal is simply an opportunity to develop yourself and to test what is actually possible. And the more we do this, the better we become at it.” pg. 105

“You Can Now Release Your Fear of Failure.
Once you understand and embrace the real purpose of a goal, you realize that failure is nothing to be feared, because you cannot fail. Who you’re becoming is always more important than what you’re doing, yet the irony is that it’s what you’re doing that is always determining who you’re becoming. As long as you maintain Unwavering Faith and put forth Extraordinary Effort with each and every goal you set, regardless of your results, you will always learn, grow, and become more capable than you were before. And your future goals, including those you have yet to even imagine, will reap the rewards.” pg. 107-108

“Whatever future may seem like a fantasy to you now is simply a future reality that you have yet to create.” pg. 112

“When we keep thinking the same thoughts, we are confined to the same possibilities or lack of them. The reality we are living now has and is being created by the thoughts that we’ve allowed to consume our minds up to this point. To improve your life you must first improve what you habitually think about. The most effective way to do that is to craft written statements (so that you’re not relying solely on your memory) that are strategically designed to guide and focus your thinking on what matters most to you, what’s possible for you, who you need to become, and what you need to do in order to make what’s possible inevitable.” pg. 114

“The interesting thing that happens when you become hyperfocused on a singular goal and you approach that goal with Unwavering Faith and Extraordinary Effort is that you’ll also achieve other goals that you thought you’d left behind simply because they align with your new identity.” pg. 117

“It was truly the year my entire life changed, because I changed my paradigm, both of what I was capable of and what I was committed to. In short, after years of accepting less than my best, I had finally expanded my own potential and become a better version of myself. That year was one of the best of my life because I stepped up and became the person I always knew that I was capable of becoming. And that’s the experience I’m excited for you to have, as well.” pg. 117

“One of the most powerful and underutilized resources available is integrity, which I define as doing what you say you’re going to do, when you say you’re going to do it, without exceptions or excuses. When you commit to living with impeccable integrity, you gain the power to speak your life into existence, because if you say you’re going to do something and you keep your word, it’s as good as done (also known as inevitable).” pg. 139

“‘Hal, what are you doing?’ His voice was serious. ‘Listen, man. You died, and you were told that you would never walk again, but you did. I know you don’t think it’s a big deal because it’s just what you did and it’s what came naturally to you, but it’s not normal.’ He told me that I should share my story and teach people how I had responded to my adversity and how I had overcome it, so that they could do the same. ‘If I were you, I would be investing every spare minute I had into writing a book about your story, not selling another company’s product.’ I thought about what he said to me and realized that he was right. That conversation became the catalyst for my life’s work as an author and keynote speaker.” pg. 142

“Contrary to what may people think, maintaining faith isn’t limited to blindly following the beliefs and teachings of others. Rather, it is having faith in yourself and your commitment to put forth Extraordinary Effort to do whatever it takes to generate your ideal outcome.” pg. 162

“Similarly, when you believe that you are the one—the one who is just as deserving, worthy, and capable as any other person on Earth—you will gain full access to your limitless potential.” pg. 165

“You can always fall back on the universal truism that if another human being has done something that you desire, their accomplishment serves as evidence that it’s also possible for you. If the world’s top performers, in all walks of life, consciously choose to live from a place of Unwavering Faith, you can make that same conscious choice. And you can start now.” pg. 167

“Extraordinary Effort has three components:
- Actions that move you closer to your ideal results
- Actions that will most likely take you out of your comfort zone
- Consistent effort over an extended period of time (regardless of your results along the way)” pg. 175

Consistent effort over an extended period of time (regardless of your results along the way) is the glue that holds all of this together. You aren’t going to get anywhere if you take only a few steps and then quit. You must remain committed for an extended period of time to go the distance. The flip side of this is that consistency makes things easier. Remember how you need to move out of your comfort zone? Well, after you’ve been out of your comfort zone for a few weeks, it no longer feels so uncomfortable. As you expand your comfort zone, you also expand what’s possible for you.” pg. 176

“Often our major goals are big and scary, but the process almost never is. . . .
To predetermine your process, simply ask yourself: Which activities, done consistently, will make my success inevitable?” pg. 179-180

“I’m sure you can conjure up all kinds of reasons as to why you believe you procrastinate, but there’s really only one: You associate some level of pain, fear, or discomfort with the activity you’re procrastinating about. That’s it.” pg. 190

“You’ll realize that the choice to procrastinate is exactly that, a choice–one that you no longer have to settle for now that you’re clear about what was causing it.” pg. 191

“If the ultimate goal here is for you to develop and embody the characteristics of a Miracle Maven so that you can maintain the ability to create miracles at will, you must think and act like a Miracle Maven. And you must think and act that way most of the time.
You must replace fear-based thinking with faith-based thinking. You must be willing to let go of any limitations that you’ve carried with you from your past, and see yourself as someone who is just as worthy, deserving, and capable of creating everything you want as any other person on Earth.” pg. 195

“Step1 - Miracle Mantra Template:
I am committed to maintaining Unwavering Faith that I will _____ [insert your mission], and I will continue putting forth Extraordinary Effort until I do, no matter what . . . there is no other option.” pg. 203

“Step 2- Your Why Template:
The reason(s) I am committed to my mission is because [insert your deeply meaningful why—the most significant benefit(s) you’ll experience by pursuing and/or attaining your mission].” pg. 204

“Step 3- Solidify Your Extraordinary Effort Template:
To ensure that the attainment of my mission is inevitable, I will remain committed to my process of ______ [insert your process] on _______ [dates and times] without being emotionally attached to my results.” pg. 205

“Step 4 - Establish Your Enlightened Entitlement:
Remember, Miracle Mavens live with the mindset that they can achieve anything that they want, will achieve anything that they are committed to, and that they deserve everything they’re willing to work for. Developing the qualities of a Miracle Maven includes generating feelings of deservedness, which will fuel your Unwavering Faith and, in turn, your Extraordinary Effort. You Miracle Equation Affirmations will begin by helping you to establish and reinforce your Enlightened Entitlement so that you feel authentically deserving of anything and everything you want for your life.
Template: I am committed to my mission and living every day as a Miracle Maven because I know that I am just as worthy, deserving, and capable of creating tangible, measurable miracles and achieving everything that I want, as any other person on Earth.” pg. 205-206

“The key to creating miracles is consistency. You have to stay committed as long as it takes you to get to the place in your life where you’ve always wanted to be. And there is no easier way to kick off that journey than to commit to reciting your Miracle Equation Affirmations every day. Going one step fourth, it’s also wise to recite our affirmations with some emotion. This helps your brain to match your mood in the present with your desired mood. You’re not lying to yourself; you’re simply showing your brain what you want to feel more often. You have to ‘get it’ completely.” pg. 207

“The first obstacle that usually rears one of its many heads is our irrational fears—fear of failure, fear of success, fear of change—which usually cause us to procrastinate. Know that everyone experiences fear and trepidation when they first set out toward a significant goal. Anytime we dare to venture outside the cozy confines of our comfort zone, it’s uncomfortable. Tackling something important to you, especially if you have never done anything like ie before, is scary. Having such feelings is normal and expected.” pg. 218

“If you still feel afraid or stuck, I invite you to refer back to chapter 3 and see if you can identify whether you are experiencing any of the four inherent conflicts:
- The irrational fear of opportunity versus maintaining the status quo: Do you fear opportunities?
- Misdirected Entitlement versus Enlightened Entitlement: Do you feel undeserving?
- Potential Dysmorphia versus actualized potential: Do you not see your true capabilities?
- The world defines you versus you define you: Do you allow others to limit you?” pg. 219

As much as I liked The Miracle Morning, I was disappointed with this book. I felt that there was lots of filling more than actual substance.

I will try the technique and see how I get on

I will re-read at least yearly. I’ve created my first Miracle Mantra and can’t wait to see how 2021 is transformed as a result.

The ultimate equation with some variables. Give some effort to find those variables and then solving the equation is not a big deal...
It was an easy book with a piece of great advice.

I really enjoy using The Miracle Morning routine in my daily life and have seen its power! I also found so many excellent quotes in this book and found it inspiring. That said, I think "The 12 Week Year" says the same thing this book is saying, but 1) already said it many years ago and 2) says it in a way where a more fully developed and measurable plan can be created for personal growth. I will continue using The Miracle Morning routine paired with The 12 Week Year in my personal life. This book received three stars because it was good, but didn't fill a hole that existed in the personal development genre. It says what has already been said.
