So what is The Treehouse Joke Book about? Jokes. Jokes. Jokes.

This is a collection of jokes — the most corniest of jokes that left me laughing nonetheless. It also left me thinking that dad jokes are really kid’s jokes in dad-joke clothing.

What did one toilet say to the other toilet? You look flushed.

Now, in case you think this is a random collection of jokes, let me set you straight: there are 26 sort-of chapters ranging from bear jokes to dinosaur jokes to knock knock jokes and a ton of themed jokes you probably didn’t realise existed.

I also must mention the ridiculously funny illustrations that make each joke just that much better!

Why did the dinosaur cross the road? Because chickens had not evolved yet.

If you or any young reader loves a good, corny joke, then this is the book for you or them!

This book was great.

I really enjoyed this book. As i have never read any of the Treehouse books, I was concerned that it was going to be filled with inside jokes that I wouldn't understand, but I needn't have worried.

The book was divided into different categories for different kinds of jokes, which I really liked. This chapter formation really added to the easy at which the jokes flowed.

Another great element to this book was the wonderful and topical illustrations by Terry Denton. I had a great time reading some of the sketches in the illustrations. It really heightened my overall enjoyment of this book.

I will admit that as an adult reading this book I knew a lot of these jokes. It didn't really bother me though as it cause me to have a quite nostalgic reading experience.

As this book is aimed at middle grade reader I doubt they will know as many of the jokes as I did. I am fairly sure that middle grade readers will be both surprised and thoroughly entertained by this book.

I love a good joke book, and this is one of the best I have read in a long time. It was funny, sweet, and age appropriate. I can easily see this becoming a fast favourite with young readers.

The Treehouse Joke Book by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton is a must have for all Middle Grade readers.

Clocking in at almost 300 pages, The Treehouse Joke Book by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton is a compilation of hilarious jokes and riddles for children and adults. The Treehouse series may be aimed at children, but this joke book will not just humour kids — adults will find themselves laughing as well.

I’m almost 30 and I have no children and I found this book incredibly enjoyable. I laughed out aloud at many of the jokes, and when I next need to buy a present for a young child, this is what I’ll be getting them.

Here are a select few of my favourite jokes from the book:

Q: Why did Tigger go to the bathroom?
A: He was looking for his friend Pooh.

Q: Why can’t you hear a pterodactyl go to the toilet?
A: Because it has a silent ‘p’

Q: Why do some fish live at the bottom of the ocean?
A: Because they dropped out of school

The book is split up into sections — Bear Jokes, Sheep Jokes, Space Jokes, Food Jokes, Monkey Jokes, etc. There are 26 sections in total. Some jokes I’d heard before, but most of these were completely new to me.

Every single page of the book features some sort of illustration from Terry Denton, and they’re the perfect accompaniment to these jokes. His illustration style is unique and recognisable, that scratchy-looking drawing style that children love to look at.

Many of the illustrations feature further words, jokes or speech bubbles, so a child could spend hours reading this book because there’s so much in these pages for them to browse through. This book is well worth the $12.99 price tag.

Recommended for parents and children.

Thank you to the publisher for sending me a review copy in exchange for an honest review.
