What happens when the deadliest opponent you’ll ever face is the one growing inside you?

When disaster strikes and Earth is infected by madness, John escapes to a beautiful world filled with adventure, excitement, and endless possibilities. He can't help but hope for a brighter future. It's the perfect fresh start to a life almost ended.

But there's no escaping the nightmare to come.

Because the price for power sufficient to take on the alien/predator abominations flooding his new home is both his humanity and his sanity, and if he's to have any hope of saving the lives of countless kidnapped children, it's a price he's going to have to pay.

On the plus side, at least now he can level up!

Author's Note: Queen Killer is a spin-off of my main series, Endless Online. The characters are different, but the universe and the dark inquisitors seeking to make puppets of all their foes are the same in both series. So if you enjoyed Val’s adventures so far (book 6 planned for later this year!), I hope you'll give this story a try!

And if you've never read any of my Endless Online books before, then I invite you to jump right in and enjoy this action-packed tale full of combat, adventure, heroism, and more death and betrayal than you can shake a stick at! (Unless it's a very big stick!)

Alert

I hate trying to write reviews because there are really only pass/fail results for me. Did I make it all the way through? Yes? 5 stars. No? There would be nothing here to read. In all fairness, if an author holds my attention from page one to the end, they’ve done their job. Anything less than 5 stars is petty criticism from someone incapable of even doing the job let alone doing a better one.

So in respect for the author and their work, I am going to start pasting this along with a generic review I found somewhere. “This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”

Cheers

I enjoyed this, and on balance I like this MC better than I do Val in the main Endless series. Obvious tie-ins with the main series, and it'll be interesting to see where the author takes this. There may have been indications of where this is relative to the main story timeline, but I'm not sure.

I could be convinced to read another one of these, but I've seen series before that hived off into "side-quest" stories and lost the main plot. That's not always a problem, but if the original characters etc. are what kept my attention, the peripheral stories often don't do it for me. Here it could go either way; I have more time invested with Val & Co. but I like John better overall. Ideally, bring the stories together and I think it'd work.

Obsessed with pullback and reveal twists, to the point that it becomes quite boring and predictable. “Oh, so he’s actually a clone of the clone that killed that clone for the other clone? Whatever.” You know the second he even cracks a smile that everyone is going to be gratuitously slaughtered around him. Honestly, I took to skimming the happy bits because it was so obvious that all his friends were going to be horribly killed five minutes later. It was almost funny. Think I will stick to the Silver Fox books, which usually manage to balance things a bit better. A shame because the book is otherwise well-written, with lots of action and imagination. But what’s the point in all that if you can’t actually enjoy it? It also has some quite disturbing scenes of torture and extreme violence.

Excellent

Every bit as good as the “original” series. I can’t even say that it’s not as original, which is often the case in spinoffs, because it is unique enough to be it’s own thing. I’m very excited to see this new MC’s adventures!

Great Side Series

Although this seems to tie In with the main Endless series you could read this as a solo series. Despite the muddled feel of the timeline etc this works out well once you reach the end and I would like to follow this journey more.

Stunning

Superb bit of gamelitRPG! Fascinating story that compliments the other series, new charachters and plot but still tied up in the Endless online universe!

Such a great addition to the Endless Series!

If you're looking for a dark style of Litrpg, then this will be just what you're looking for. I've loved all the previous 5 books in the Endless series, but this story right here had me truly upset with the enemy, fully engrossed in the horrors they betrayed. I don't give 5 stars unless I was affected emotionally by a book and this book definitely deserves it's 5 star, IMO. I was initially upset that this wasn't the 6th book, but things get going pretty quick from the start and I was enjoying the new character soon into it. And while I think anyone could enjoy this as a standalone, I don't think it'd be worth reading first without having a lot of context of the worlds and powers explained in the other books. 9.5/10

Interesting side story

This book was good, but a little odd. It honestly felt like fanfic from someone who liked the original books. A lot if material is reused. That being said, it's still good and I enjoyed it.

Way too convoluted

The author introduces a side story in the universe with multiple versions of the same character, but does a very poor job keeping the storylines separate. The book is very very difficult to follow unlike the previous books in the series.

Interesting twist

I have greatly enjoyed the Endless books. This side story will open up entirely new paths for future stories. I can't wait!
