Sin City Book 1: Sin City Vows Book 2: Ready for the Rancher Book 3: Sin City Seduction
Zuri Day is a hopeful romantic. She believes in happy endings, half-full glasses and dreams coming true. That's why she's thrilled to be a contributing writer to this genre...one of her favorites!
Zuri doesn't remember exactly how old she was when she picked up her first romance novel, but she does remember it was love at first sight. "It was probably a Harlequin," she recalled during a recent interview. "And it thankfully took me away from a fairly dull and routine existence growing up in a small Kansas town."
Things aren't dull and routine anymore. Zuri now resides in Los Angeles with her family and when she isn't writing loves to travel the world, cook vegetarian food, work out, watch sports, attend concerts and theatre and enjoy the simple things in life.
"Many people have given up on love, much less romance," Zuri says. "I'm hoping that somehow, through the love-filled pages of my romance novels, I can ignite the reader's desire to believe again. Because everything is possible, when we believe..."
The synopsis for this one sounded good and I absolutely love that cover.
I liked Dee and Noah well enough. They’re both driven, good people. I really liked Noah’s family and the support system he had. Dee’s family had potential, but instead provided the conflict. There are a good amount of characters, but most of them are superficial.
Plot wise it was okay. A lot of this book is religious. Dee has been raised in a church, her father is a well-known leader, and that is the basis for a lot of what she does. As the story progresses, she does question and stand up for herself, yet it felt false to me. Also, it seemed like a lot of the interactions between Dee and Noah fell more towards inappropriate than chemistry.
Overall, it had a lot of potential and I think it would have worked better being a full length story.
**Huge thanks to HQN for providing the arc free of charge**
Sin City Seduction is such a fun read. The two main characters are from two completely different worlds which is the foundation on which the book is based on. What happens when we let go our preconceived notions of other folks and try to learn about them while allowing them to really get a glimpse into our lives. I haven't read the other books in the series and it wasn't necessary as this can be read as a standalone. Sin City Seduction is a quick book and I will read more by Zuri Day!
Sin City Seduction by Zuri Day is the third book in the Sin City Secrets series. Noah and Damaris romance is a forbidden romance between the owner of a casino and a member of the religious group holding his plans at bay.
Noah is working on the deal of a lifetime when a skiing accident paralysis him from the waist down. He is angry at the world and can not show weakness. He must finish this deal and prove to his investors that he canl.
Damaris faces going against family wishes to care for a patient whom poses a threat to everything they believe. Her family is determined that her caring for this patient will corrupt her and the way they raised her to belive.
I feel like this book could work if it could have a more expansive storyline. Damaris is a nurse working at the hospital when Noah is brought in from a serious skiing accident. As a result of the accident, Noah is paralyzed from the waist down, but doctors believe he will be able to walk again. Damaris is hired as Noah’s personal nurse and the two have an instant attraction. One of the largest obstacles in their relationship is Damaris’ religious beliefs and her family. Noah is trying to build a casino in Salt Lake City and Damaris’ father is one of his biggest critics.
There were aspects of this book I struggled with, so I will start with that. In regards to Damaris’ religious beliefs, I feel she was at the point in her life where she was questioning aspects of her religion. I just wish there could have been more background to explain why now, because I don’t think it was just because of Noah. I felt like in the beginning she was strong in her beliefs and then just shrugged them off when she became his personal nurse.
Noah’s recovery process felt seamless, but his family is also very wealthy, so that could be why. I am interested to see how other people feel about how his disability is written. I loved Noah and Damaris together. They work, but I wish we could have seen more. Damaris is a virgin heroine and all of sudden is in the middle of a sexual relationship that we never witness the beginning of. This book was a quick read, but I really wish this book could have been completely fleshed out! This is my first Zuri Day book, but I am definitely going to find some other Day books to read!
Ok. I liked this book, the characters were fun and fully realized. The pace and flow is cool as well. I really enjoyed the descriptive aspects of the story, I could smell the Pacific Ocean 🙂.
This got a three because of how Damaris grew into herself. There wasn’t a build up to progressing into the very confident woman she turned into from one page to the next.
She was sheltered and then she wasn’t, it was kinda jarring. But. I do look forward to the next books in the series, they were set up nicely in this story.
Zuri DAY HAS AMAZED ME AGAIN WITH WHAT AN AWESOME WRITER SHE IS. I AM A PERSON WITH A DISABILITY, SO FOR ME THIS BOOK IS INSPIRING. I LOVED NOAH AND DAMARIS STORY. I ALSO LIKED HOW MS. DAY SHOWED THE UPS AND DOWNS OF WHAT SOMEONE WHO HAS A DISABILITY WHETHER IT IS PERMANENT OR TEMPORARY HAS TO DEAL WITH DAILY. SHE SHOWED ME WHY I CAN HAVE A TRUE RELATIONSHIP AND WHY I LOVE ROMANCE BOOKS SO MUCH.
I love Zuri Day but wasn’t very happy with this book. It started off good but just fell flat. No character and relationship and development. Then it just ended. Just ok for me.
After Noah Breedlove suffers a spinal cord injury in a skiing accident, nurse Damaris Glen is hired to care for him. Their lives are worlds apart – and so are their families. But sometimes, no matter the challenges, love cannot be denied.
Noah and Damaris face a lot of challenges, to the point where at times the book feels very busy with everything that’s going on, but Day manages to harness those challenges neatly. Sin City Seduction has echoes of Romeo and Juliet, with Noah’s casino project and Damaris’ family’s and church’s rejection of the project, but even more intriguing is Damaris’ journey from the sheltered church girl her parents raised to a self-aware woman making her own choices – and, of course, choosing to be with Noah. The opulent luxury the Breedloves live in lends a Cinderella-esque element to the story as well, though one tempered by Noah’s own challenges coming to terms with his injury. Though the third book in Day’s Sin City Secrets series, the story stands well on its own. What I enjoyed most about the story, besides the very believable and emotionally engaging romance, was the sense of family and community in the book. Noah and Damaris have to make difficult choices, and Noah has a new reality as a disabled person that he’s dealing with through the story, but with the support of family and friends a Happily Ever After is assured. I really enjoyed Sin City Seduction!
Noah Breedlove suffers a spinal cord injury in a skiing accident. Nurse Damaris Glen is hired by his family to care for him. He is a bad boy determined to heal from his injuries. She's a sheltered, woman from a devout family who is finding her way in the world. There are several wonderful tropes going on in this book - opposites attract, good girl/bad boy, family rivalry, and comfort after hurt. All the money the Breedloves possess can't guarantee that Noah will walk again, but that doesn't stop love from blooming between two people from entirely different worlds. One outstanding feature of this book is the powerful sense of family and community that at once offers comfort and conflict for our two MCs. Everyone has to adapt to new realities but Day handles the journey without losing the romance in the process. Truly enjoyable read.
A thinly disquised story about what is considered to be well known (incorrect) information about Utah and the LDS (Church of the Latter Day Saints or Mormons) and about Las Vegas, NV. A family with 'rigid' conservative values and a family with more liberated values. A Patriarchal family and a Matriachal family. About a family with obscene wealth used to getting their way and a church leader family of comfortable means. An older and experienced man and a young inexperienced woman. Noah and Damaris develop a romatic relationship that I did not buy. Damaris does grow, but Noah to the last page remains unchanged using his wealth and power to get what he wants, including buying most members of her family (yuck). The story is readable and has some information about advances in the field of medicine. No, I would not read it again.
Thoroughly entertaining on every theme, this author delighted me with her knowledge and research. The rigidity of the religion was revealed and discovered to be "Damaris'" father and church leaders. The love of family, whether rich and working is important. Thinking, reading and believing what is (right) is uniquely individual. The relationship that developed between Noah and Damaris whether paralyzed or not. Lastly, the theme of physical disability is mentally as it is physical. Me being paralyzed, appreciated the positive aspect of emotional well-being and the author's knowledge about technology.
This is the third book in this amazing series and it gets better each time! I love how this book covers dealing with unexpected disabilities, overcoming being sheltered by an overpowering father and church restrictions, then learning to trust in your own beliefs and finding love! I can’t wait for the next book! I highly recommend this book and series. Kudos, Zuri!! 💜
I really enjoyed this book.It really goes to show that people with different backgrounds can come together in love regardless of outside obstacles. This book was great!
This was a new author to me, so I started with no expectations. I liked both Dee and Noah. Overall, the book was a quick and fun read. There were some slight issues with the book, but nothing to deter from it overall. I recommend. **I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
Sin City Seduction is the third installment of the Sin City Secrets Series and is an easy and quick read. In this story we are introduced to Noah Breedlove and Damaris (Dee) Glen. Noah is the charismatic, handsome, smart, and shrewd CEO of CANN International of Nevada. Damaris is a nurturing, intelligent, beautiful, spiritual, sheltered, and inexperienced nurse living and working in Utah. Their two opposing worlds collide when Noah suffers a life altering skiing accident which leaves him paralyzed from the waist down, and Damaris becomes the nurse who endeavors to see him walk again. As Noah and Damaris grow closer together, will the differences of their rivaling worlds tear them apart? I like how the author is not afraid to tackle topics like religion and disability. Navigating a new relationship and falling in love is often challenging without throwing in religion and disability as obstacles. Although I truly enjoyed reading this novel, I could only give it a four out of five stars because I felt that there was more to explore in the story of Damaris being at odds with her faith, and I felt like the readers were cheated out of the blossoming sexual relationship between Noah and Damaris especially since Damaris was a virgin, and Noah was more than a loving and capable teacher. I look forward to reading the fourth installment of the Sin City Secrets Series and learning about Nicholas Breedlove.😃❤️

Sin City Seduction is the third installment of the Sin City Secret Series. In this story we meet Noah and Damaris. CEO Noah Breedlove has a serious accident and he encounters a very nice nurse named Damaris who he believes is a little too nice, when Noah is able to leave the hospital his family decides to hire Damaris aka Dee to be his caretaker. As she attempts to help heal him will she also capture his heart?
I was really able to relate to Noah and all he was going through due to a situation that I had in 2015. I like the way the author is dealing with real life situations and issues that are going in the world, different cultures, religions, and food choices. I feel the relationship between the two could have been a lil more developed but I enjoyed them just as well. The Breedlove men are very romantic and go all out for their women. I look forward to reading about Nick and his love interest.
Here at the AAMBC, we have some favorite authors, and Zuri Day is one of them. When we received the ARC of Sin City Seduction, we were more than excited. Book three in the Sin City Secrets series, Sin City Seduction follows the sizzling tale of Noah Breedlove and Damaris Glen. Two people from different worlds must decide if love and seduction can conquer all. The classic opposites attract trope is flipped on its head and put to bed once Zuri Day got ahold of it. Sizzling, captivating, and surprisingly rooted in realism, Sin City Seduction hits all the marks. Zuri is a master at stripping away the trappings of a person and showing us who they really are, and she doesn’t disappoint with this book. We give it five out of five stars.
TL; DR The Good: Great characters and off the charts chemistry. The Bad: N/A Worth the Buy? Absolutely. Rating: 5/5
Sin City Seduction (Sin City Secrets) by Zuri Day is intensively engaging and entertaining. It's the tale of Noah Breedlove's and Damaris Glen's entanglement. :-)
Noah Breedlove is a CEO of the family's international business that was involved in an accident and Damaris Glen is a nurse that happened to be on site. Ms. Day sends us on a tantalizing journey that keeps us totally engulfed in these two personally and in business while eager to see what will happen next.
Darmaris is there doing her job and Noah wants to do other things too. Read this novel and find out what happens with them, you won't be disappointed. An awesome read!
This is the third installment in the Sin City Secrets series and I enjoyed it. The way Zuri Day addressed religious beliefs, love, family conflicts and life changing events, definitely made this a page turner. I liked Noah and Damaris as a couple and I hope to see more development in their relationship as the series continues. I am enjoying the Breedloves and I am looking forward to the next installment.
I am really enjoying the Breedlove family series. Noah and Damaris had great chemistry even though they had many obstacles in their way. I loved how they finally able to connect and I hope they continue to have much love and joy in their relationship. Great book!
