Stone Fury: a Stone Cold thriller by J.D. Weston

Harvey is now part of the legal team headed by Frank Carver, but for now long? Harvey is after the last link in what happened to his parents and who raped his sister, Hannah. The link, his foster brother, Donald Cartwright! But, a new case of human trafficking is the team's mission; Harvey disagrees with Frank and goes out alone to find Donald. You can read about this mission and Harvey Stone's results Get ready to be surprised!

Another great book in this series. I am totally hooked into the world of Harvey Stone. I love that the books have details that follow on in each book. You also don't need to read the previous books to understand it.
This time Harvey is working with the team to uncover a human trafficking ring but as the case goes on Harvey sees it as a way to find his foster brother Donny Cartwright. The books literally keeps you reading until the end. I have now started book 3 in the series !!

Yea! I liked this, dragged a couple of times when a historical part is being explained (maybe when it refers to something in an earlier book) and then doesn't give enough to visualise quite what's happening at a couple of key points.

But these are just minor bits to work on and get the full five stars the book genuinely deserves!!

Liked the plot, liked the characters changes and reasons for changes so looking forward to book three.

A different take..

I really enjoyed the development of this story. A different approach to dealing with the worst types of criminals. The characters are engaging and their methodology refreshingly different. I look forward to more from this author!

J.D Weston writes about real situations and shows the dark side of humanity. Stone is a perfect vehicle for the story to told though. He is ruthless but has humanity. He is a cold and ruthless killer with a mind for justice and deep down a good heart.
Love the story and looking forward to the rest.

Stone fury

Interesting because it takes place in England and therefore has uniquely British terms and locations in the detail. A very different split between good and evil with Stone.

Book 2 was great.

I have read two of Stone Cold mysteries I would recommend this series to my family and friends. One big thing for me was limited profanity. This series reminds me of the James Bond movies. Thanks..Belinda Young from Mississippi

The story line picks up , which makes it better.

The second book in the series is very fast paced and didn't slow down for much. The main drawback is the religion of the beginning plotline too many times.

I am looking forward to more books in the series.

Looking Forward to Next Story

These stories are starting to grow on me (or creep under my skin) with each twist. While I liked the first book better I am looking forward to the next book, but I'll have to read a lighter book first. Thanks Mr. Weston for a good series.

Not quite sure what didn't work for me? Too much computer/IT mumbo jumbo? Action scenes too far fetched? Character very two dimensional? Somehow I managed to read to the end - the second half had more momentum

A government should have people like Stone on their side. While this book concentrates on a white slavery ring, there is much more happening. This book is pretty much non stop action. There are glimpses into the past, but does not dwell there as many books tend to do.
