Covers various methods of valuing early stage companies. My personal view is that at a pre-seed to Series A, all numbers are basically made up. Why are people trying to price things using Black Scholes?

Some of the metrics related to SaaS-based companies are off, but this has been a gold mine for ways to look at the value of early-stage companies. Honestly, if you haven't looked at zero revenue, zero-profit companies with multi-million (or billion-dollar valuations) and tried to guess at why they had any value, this is the book for you.

It's a companion to Valuation: Measuring and Managing the Value of Companies which is better for more established companies.

If you want to see the practices of Puca's ideas applied to real companies look at these:

This is the real deal and the evaluation of Atlassian using both Puca and Mckinsey's metrics makes sense.
