Award-winning author of the Independent Press Award for Distinguishing Favorite. Recipient of the National Indie Excellence Award for Erotica Romance.

My love for writing began several years ago after an early retirement from a demanding job that I loved and hated because it consumed so much of my time. Now, I can focus my time on what I love. Writing romance has been a lifelong dream and to actually say that I am a published author is beyond what I would have ever expected.

Even though some may say I have a little naughtiness in my books, I look at it as an added bonus for my readers. After all, what is a romance book without a little spice?

When I am not writing, I enjoy spending time with friends either at home or out on the town. Mostly, I enjoy a relaxing night at home where I can enjoy a glass of wine in the company of a good book.

Out of everything, she enjoys driving in her little convertible with the top down.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I would like to thank A.L. Long and Booksirens for allowing me to read and review this book. I read this within a couple of hours as I knew where the story had carried on from.

This carries on from where Taken left off. Alannah has been taken from Roman AGAIN, but this time Winston Nelson has plans to delete her memories of everyone she holds dear. Who is going to be her master next? What will Roman do to get her back? Who is the man in Winston's room and what does he know about Alannah? Who else is involved with the kidnapping of Alannah? All will be revealed when you read Broken (Last Chance 4).

This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.

Finally! She shows some spunk, but at what cost?!
This is the fourth book in this series and I must say this one was the most suspenseful and surprising. My only critical issue is that I accepted Lanie’s naivety in book and maybe even book two, but to still not see what was happening to her in book four! Beyond belief. But, then I remember she was given over to Master Winston since she was five years old and maybe I can see where all that conditioning for 14 years could leave her that naïve. I will say for sure that things come to a head in this book. I can’t wait to read FREED to see if all the bad guys get what they deserve.
It comes recommended for readers who don’t mind reading serials with suspense, mystery and steam. I give it 4.5 stars. I received an advance review copy for free (thru BookSirens), and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is book #4 in the series by A. L. Long. We continue to follow Alannah and Roman, after Alannah has been kidnapped by Winston and his son Stuart. I have enjoyed reading this series and seeing how the characters continue to develop and the relationship continues to change and develop. Alannah is very relatable as a victim of abuse and you are wanting to help with revenge. I am looking forward to reading book #5. This one kept me on the edge of my seat. It made me feel so sorry for Lanie due to all of the torture she had to endure at the hands of those monsters. I rooted for Roman and for him to find her and for her to have a loving and normal life with him. I also hope Winston and all of his associates get what they deserve. I think prison at this point would be too good for them at this point. I can’t wait to see what this last novel brings for Laney and Roman.

This novel finds Lanie has been taken by Winston again. She is
mistreated as has always been the norm with Winston. Roman and
Martin are desperately been trying to find her . She is
lost to him again. When they finally locate her she has to be
carried out of the hotel by Roman. She has been being dosed
by Winston , that makes for a difficult time for Lanie as she does
not remember Roman. There are so many twists and turns though
the more you are exposed to the different characters the easier
to follow the plot. I would say that you would want to read these in
order and not as a standalone. What an amazing story line.

I realize this is a series book, but it definitely felt like I was coming in in the middle and leaving only partially resolved. There was apparently a kidnapping, drugging the victim, and BDSM that was not consensual. The writing is good, but the book does not stand alone as a complete novel.

The book continues on from Taken.
Lanie has been taken by Winston again but will she be truly broken this time or will Roman be able to save her again.
A life that no one should have to live but can she survive.
I can't wait for the final book.

Sorpresas, sorpresa!

Another great teaser in this book series. Its a great book but ends on a big cliffhanger. Made me growl because I just wanted the read the next book. Definite Page turner.

Lanie is kidnapped and tortured by Winston and a mystery man. The things they do to her to pervert her mind to their will is horrifying. She is drugged and starts losing everything all because of them.

This really brings into perspective the reality of what can happen in a lifestyle relationship or situation. How not every dom or master is good decent and trustworthy.I really like that aspect of this story.

Lanie is such an amazing character and I just adore Roman. He is her knight in shining armor. He has brought her out of her shell and accepts her for her shy yet feisty personality instead of trying to force her to be how he wants.

I cant wait for the last book in this series and I pray that Winston and his boys get whats coming to them in the end.

This is the 4th book in this series and I recommend reading the books in order so that the story and characters make sense. This is fast-paced and is a fairly short read. All the main characters are in this and there are some possible triggers for some readers due to the plot. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

My first disclaimer is that I hadn't realized this book was a part of a series and in fact in the middle of the series. Please note I would not recommend reading this book as a stand alone.

This book is fairly fast passed so hang one and get comfortable. Without knowing anything about the characters the beginning of this book dives right into the situation without and back story. At first it was intriguing to me, thinking I would get more later but, as stated do not read this as a stand alone book.

The characters themselves are interesting and i found myself wanting to know more, guess i am going to go find the first few books of the series.

The storyline is also interesting and it doesnt leave you lacking much in detail even though it moves quickly.

Overall, I enjoyed the premise of the book but the downfall of starting in the middle of a series caused a bunch of confusion and drew too many questions.

I received a free copy of this book and providing a voluntary review of my opinion

Book 4 in the series. The storyline is how Lanie is reprogrammed. It does not go into too much detail on the abuse which is a good thing. A cliffhanger ending with the hopes of a happy ending. Reading this, I wonder how much more can Lanie go through and will Roman ever learn.

Review

I liked the fact that this book is an easy read and has simple language. There is enough action to keep the reader engaged but I felt like it didn't have much to dwell on as in it was too short and everything happened too fast. I loved the character development. I am happy that she has people to help her. On the whole, it was a neutral read for me. I wasn't very satisfied but also wasn't disappointed.

This is the fourth book in a continuing series and unfortunately I haven't read the first three. However, "Broken" has complex characters and is so well-crafted that I became completely immersed in all that was happening in this fast-paced heartrending story. I am so intrigued that I need to start the story from the beginning so I can fully appreciate the drama. General info

This book continues the story of Alannah who has been a prisoner and a sex slave her whole life. She is once again held prisoner by her old master Winston Nelson.

Things I liked

This book is very fast to read so you can complete even when you are really busy. There is a lot of action which helps to keep the book becoming too boring.

Things I did not like

To me, this book is just not anywhere near realistic. I mean I get that human trafficking victims have horrible lives but the fact that three guys are just running around the country, trying to find a girl without any help from any authorities seem somehow weird to me. Additionally, I think this book could have just been part of the last book because on it’s it feels just like a filter chapter in a book.

Conclusion

All in all, a quick read but I somehow it just did not satisfy or please me in any way.

I will have to say that the books get better as the series continues but the story is still a little out there. In the 4th book, Broken, we see things turn from bad to really awful. We are introduced to some new characters, and Lanie finds herself again in an impossible situation. Roman is desperate to find her but when he does will she still be the same Lanie that he fell in love with? I am not quite sure how this is all going to play out and how all the characters are connected but I am hoping that A.L. Long will deliver in the next book.

Lanie has been taken again by the evil and cruel Winston, he has given her a drug that is slowly erasing her memories. Roman will stop at nothing to save her but will he rescue her in time, before her memory of him is completely gone? Who are the people helping Winston? Who will Winston sell Lanie to next? Loving this series. Looking forward to reading the next instalment. I was given this Arc to review

Poor Alannah. Memories gone. Will she ever know what's what? I could feel her pain and confusion. I love this series and am anxious for the next installment.
