At least, TRYING to find Hoseyn. They finally do, but. . . the extraordinary difficulties of getting authentic information out of a country where spies are everywhere, and no one is responsible. I nearly gave up reading this, as frustrated as the main character with getting information. I was SO glad when he ends up in London with his wife--good resolution, but hither and thither throughout a looonnnnggg book.

After reading Morning Spy, Evening Spy and then The Contractor, I was anxious to read Colin MacKinnon's first novel. What a disappointment!
