Hugo Cotton, the host of the innerFrench podcast and YouTube channel, created this guide (free, if you subscribe to his mailing list: do it, if you are beginner-intermediate) which collects 198 phrases and expressions that you often find yourself needing while trying to have a conversation with someone en français, like filler-type phrases to preface telling a story, reactions, popular verbs, time-related words like I was meaning to look for « À cette époque-là » since I use "at the time" a lot in English and he included audio recordings for all of them (🤯)!!

Hugo is my favourite teacher of french, I am only just beginning, but I will be listening to all his podcasts, I have almost finished his youtube channel videos, they are excellent, I will be buying his courses with my wife, and this contemporary review of phrases is really wonderful reference. THANKS!
