This book is an excellent companion to learning and optimizing your use of Microsoft Azure.
I have always found Microsoft Azure a superior product to Amazon Web Services, and this book gives you a lot of information on why - perhaps you too will feel the same after reading it!
Very informative book though it is already out of date. 🤣 This is a better way to learn azure than simply jumping in and using it. A little more detail on establishing your own website using azure would have been helpful. It isn't something that can't be figure it out though.

I work in IT and the cloud is all the rage now. My agency is a Microsoft shop so I thought I would like to learn a little more about Azure. I've always found the "For Dummies" books to be good intros. However, a friend of mine who is an Active Directory engineer warned me not to rely on books because Azure changes so quickly.
So I won't say reading the book was a waste of time, but if I had to do it again, I would probably skip it. The problem I have is that so many people like watching videos for training and I'm just too old school for that.
I initially thought this book might be too theoretical, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely a practical and beginner-friendly introduction to the Microsoft Azure environment, offering step-by-step guides.
Of course, tech books tend to become outdated quickly, but I was still able to navigate Azure with minimal hiccups using this book. And for anything that seemed out of date, I could just look it up online.
The author also provides helpful resources for learning updated Azure content, which you can consult alongside the book for a more enriched experience. While a few sites didn’t load, most of them worked just fine.
I can’t wait to experiment more with Arc; it really piqued my interest!
I definitely like the "feel" of this book. It doesn’t come across as overly technical or like a dry textbook. Despite being hands-on, the author conveys technical concepts in an easily digestible way, almost like a regular conversation. This would be a fantastic resource for a beginner in Azure.
