About the author

I was born in Fairview NC and my parents moved to Junction City OR in 1966.
I worked for the Eugene, OR branch of OMSI until I married Richard Nickels in 1972. Richard worked for Nerco Coal, RioTinto Coal, and Kennecott Energy in WY, St Charles, MO, and Portland, OR until he passed away from cancer in 2006. I moved to Battle Ground WA to be near my mom and family. Mom passed away in 2017 at the age of 97. I met and married my husband Bob in 2015.
Richard and I have 3 beautiful girls and 6 grandchildren.
I've always had stories in my head and after my girls left home, I started writing in 2001. I love the challenge and am ecstatic that my readers seem to enjoy my book and some say they couldn't put it down. Thank you readers, very much!
