Amethyst is a curse worker on the run after hexing her ex. (He he that rhymes)

On the bus to Silver Springs, she meets a set of hot twins but with a vengeful ex after her and a group of pissed off vampires, she’s a little distracted. In a town she swore she would never return to she runs into her old tormentor, a hot af wolf shifter, befriends an angel, and spends more time ducking and dodging her family members than she would like.

Lady Luck is supposed to be on her side, but with so many problems, what’s a girl to do? Maybe a pumpkin spiced drink and 3 hotter than hell supernaturals is just what Amethyst needs, or will her hatred over her past keep her from opening her heart and have her end up hexing herself.

The Jewels Cafe series is exactly what I need right now. The stories are not too long, not too heavy, not too deep (in the literary sense of the word at least) and not too complicated. I can forget the outside world and all its problems for a short moment. It's like a holiday to a nice and far away place without having to leave my house #readathome

And this book was none different! I really loved Amethyst as a character. She was snarky, although she knew when to hold back and when she had crossed a line. She stood up for herself, even though she knew there would be consequences, and once she understood that her mates were her mates she wasn't looking for excuses but did what felt right too. She is the kind of girl to take matters into her own hand, after they haven't been for a long time. It was amusing and inspiring.

I have to admit that I don't get the feeling we get to know her guys very well. Aiden is the one who at least gets a little bit of background, but the rest feels a little forgotten somehow. I totally would have loved to learn more about them, get to know them a little better. I love the mating bond, but I wish we could also see more of them bonding on a more personal level. However, I did enjoy how they cared about Amethyst and loved her so much.

And last but not least there is the plot. The plot is really in charge of this book and there is a lot happening. Compared to other books in this series it's plot heavy with a lot of action and twists and turns. I have to admit that I'm not entirely sure if the mythology makes much sense, but at least the characters admit that something weird has happened and that they don't understand it either, so I can totally forgive that.

Like all the other book in this interconnected series it was a really nice and soothing read and a welcome escape from reality.

I was really looking forward to reading this book after catching glimpses of Amethyst in the other books of the series. She sounded really badass and fun. Instead the heroine is just super annoying the storyline somehow both rushed and drawn out and a few characters' motivations make no sense to me.
I still wouldn't have given it one star if it wasn't for the consistency issues this book has with the other books in the series and within itself. Timeline issues happen, especially in a multi-author series. However, everyone else seems to have managed to do okay or just severely limit the references to the other characters in the series. There is no way for Ruby's or Amber's story to align with this books timeline. Both Julian (Amber) and Holly (Ruby) appear in the book but there characterization does not fit with their original one. And the magic in this book follows completely different rules than the others ones and another set of rules applies to the heroin which are not at all consistent either. Why? Because she is just soo special. I will just pretend this book has never been written and Amethyst is a side character that just never got her story told.

4.5 The 7th book in the series and we have already met Amethyst a few times in other stories but this one is all about her and it is great!

Amethyst is part good witch and part not so good witch... Okay she is down right hex-y! So when she catches her boyfriend cheating on her she dumps his sorry as and hightails it out of there. But now her ex wants revenge because she may have hexed her ex as she left. Not only is he looking for her but two sexy vampire twins are looking to catch her too.

Add in a werewolf who bullied Amethyst in school, her frustratingly "good" witch of a grandmother, her dead mothers old store, kidnappings, an angel, lots of vampires, collections, a death threat, lots of sex, and a Pumpkin Spice Latte, and things are about to get crazy!

This was one of my favourite stories of the series because you get a glimpse of what happens after the original story with a cracking epilogue. Everything that happens does so to bring Amethyst closer to her Mates.

I can't wait to read more about her.

I have very conflicting feelings about this book. On the one hand, Amethyst is an awesome character. She's fun, sassy, and does what ultimately needs doing. The plot is exciting and kept me entertained. On the other hand, her mates don't get enough time to show their personalities. This issue isn't just because it's a short book, it's because a lot of the book is explanation. We get a lot of telling instead of showing. The plot is also way too quick for all the major plot points it's trying to cover. It needs to show down a bit and let the reader breathe. I also found the steamy scenes too quick. Like this witch gets a lot of orgasms in not a lot of moves. It's almost impressive, but it's also a bit distracting. Ultimately the book is fun, and I enjoyed it, there's just a few issues that needed smoothing out.

Fun series of stand alone books in a shared universe with a little bit of character cross over.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

I loved Amethyst but the book was a no for me.

I mean, firstly the book keep mentioning how great Amethyst’s powers are but every time she really needed it they didn’t help her at all.

Secondly all of her mates were awful to her. The twins I could get over the whole “her being a job” thing because they got jealous because of her and they already thought about her as theirs, but Aiden basically bullied her during her school years, kept choosing his girlfriend and position at his pack over her, until didn’t have a choice but to stay with her. Marcus I don’t really care, I just didn’t see them being mates until the author said so, otherwise I would simply think they hated each other and wanted to have some fun.

Hexes are like karma. Curses can be put on anyone, whether they deserve it not.

Amethyst is on the run from her ex. After hexing him for cheating, she leaves NOLA and heads back to Silver Springs, her hometown. Amethyst is not a light witch like the rest of her family. That's why they have basically disowned her. On the trip to Silver Springs, she meets twin vampires. They follow her. She also reunites with Aiden, a wolf shifter, whom was her nemesis in school.

It's quite interesting how this foursome gets together. But wait, that's not all. There's another in the mix. So, when will her life become easy?

Hexes and curses

This was cute. I didn't love some of the decisions that Amethyst made at times. She was impulsive and sometimes a bit mean to her men. But the hexes that she through around were fun, like Marcus's sparkly hand. It does seem like this author has a flair for the over dramatic at times. Every book that I've read of hers has a borderline bratty FMC who gets herself into trouble by being stupid. I also thought the attempted rape was a bit much. But overall it was a quick, fun read and an enjoyable addition to the Jewels Cafe world.

Witches, wolves, vampires, oh my, hexes and exes!

FMC is a quirky little witch you will love! Deemed dark and like her father, (whom she never met, due to her light witch family doing something, dare we say, dark? Then her mother dies, of a broken heart, soon after, also never met), she's never really had a family. Dishing out karma and hexes, no light magic to find. What's a karma hexing witch to do? Bond with her soul mates, and make herself happy for once, and make a family.

Glad to have found this book.

Best thing about this story is that it's consistent throughout. Usually, excitement dies down when the conflict is over or the mates get together, but that was not the case here.
I was expecting a cliche conflict of an ex coming back but that didn't happen, which I am glad.
Also, I didn't read the blurb before reading the book. I had no idea how many mates she was going to have. So, I got a nice little surprise towards the end.
I liked the bonus chapter and wished there were more of them. But, alas.
I really enjoyed reading this book.

Purple is my favorite color

Oh I loved this book. I love when the lead girl is a bad ass! I got a kick out of her smart was mouth so much I was laughing at times. Loved the story behind Aiden and how he changed to show his love for Amethyst! Now for the vamps, how can you not fall in love with any of them, they always know when they find their mate and fall deeply in love and always do everything to protect her!

Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance

Amethyst is a quirky witch , who performs Hexes. After hexing her lowlife boyfriend ; she runs home. Everything gets interesting after that. This is another story set in the town of Silver Springs. It's full of magic and love and of course, the pumpkin latte. I loved how it ended. It was the best HEA yet.

Fantastic!

Oh my heart! What an adventure! FMC Amethyst is strong, sassy and maybe a little bit crazy but even with lady luck on her side life has not always been kind. Returning to her childhood home town was everything she expect and a whole load she didn't. Wonderful, engaging read that I absolutely loved.

If you are reading this book as a stand-alone book then you'll love every minute of it. If you're reading the whole Jewels Cafe series in one go, you'll probably see some continuity issues between this book and the previous ones.

Apart from the continuity issues and minor spelling mistakes, I enjoyed going on Amethysts journey with her guys and appreciated the epilogue chapter.

Enemies to lovers

Amethyst is a "dark" witch that's tired of being used and abused, finally doing something about it. Finding her mates and avoiding kidnappers and an evil ex are all in a typical day for Amethyst. CY Jones writes a compelling and believable story about being strong enough to move beyond your past and claiming your future.

Jewels Cafe book 7

Amethyst is on the run from her jersey of an ex boyfriend. She is one of the best hexes out there, which is evident in the her she put on her ex after he cheated on her & hit her.

She is on her way back home to Silver Springs. She left home years ago, and doesn't really want to go back but has no choice. What will be waiting on her when she gets back home?

Just read it. You need it in your life.

Amethyst is a wonderful story about a strong woman who goes through trials (without trying to save the world) and demands the love and respect she deserves. She's freaking hilarious too!!! And those guys are just yum yum yum. Seriously... just read it.

Starts ok

Book started ok and I was interested in the fmc. However the three mmcs are such absolute horrible people, one badly bullied her throughout her childhood, the others just being paid. Magic PSL and she’s naked with these awful people. For me this was a big bucket of non consent. I couldn’t finish it. Found it kind of upsetting.

Squirrel...

I love the way this book was written, as if it was Amethyst telling her own story. The quirkyness of the characters was just brilliant. I really loved her squirrel moments. The story flowed beautifully and was HOTT. The ending had me all in the feels.

Fun quick read with a snarky FMC and mates who give as good as they get

This was a wonderful, fun, fast, laugh out loud read. I loved the FMC's snark and sass. The guys are interesting and the twists have me praying for a followup.

Ok

I have enjoyed the Jewels Cafe books, some more than others. This one I liked as far as the story was concerned, but it could have used a good editor. I am not a grammar nazi, but when the poor grammar causes the sentence to be illegible, it ruins it for me

Great read

I highly enjoyed this book as well as the series, each book is written by a different author so they offer a separate look into each character and make the stories different

Amethyst

Amethyst is dark witch. She finds herself back in Silver Springs after running away years ago. What she doesn't expect is to find her life and her mates. It's an addictive read that will draw you in right from the beginning. A lot of good twists.

Witches

I wish this book was a little longer and more developed. With the snarky attitude Amethyst has there could have been more funny interaction between her and her coven. Or her and her mates. Overall it's a good read.
