Selfish, hateful thing should be the title.
I read this series in 2015. It popped up in my email saying this was a good series to read. I forgot I did. Book 1 was confusing. Storyline started in the middle of the story then struggled to combine past present and how everyone related to each other.
So Georgie want to be an attorney. I would never hire her. Why should she pay her and for her father's mistakes? Why does she have to be so rude to others. Her mememe attitude is making me not like the books. Also, can't she see that Can has some multiple personality issues??.
A couple of quotes I found interesting.
“No one can keep a junkie away from drugs when he is determined to get them.”
“They will understand. Rade died.” “No, they won’t. Fans are tyrants. They demand oppressive, damaging tour schedules. They demand to see me blast every note, every night. They demand new music constantly. If not, they tweet and ragebook and post and gif that we are slackers, that they are hungry, and we are cruel because we are not feeding the beasts.”

I have become absorbed by these stories...
Georgie and Xan have become heavily involved but she starts to notice subtle differences in Xan ... changes in accent, stance and demeanour.
He even asks her to call him Alex..
But when he plays the violin, everyone around her panics .. but she feels safe with him even though he calls himself Alexandrè.
No one else notices any changes.
Killer Valentine is dealt a tragic blow and Xan/Alex/Alexandrè panics and uses Georgie’s fears against her to force her to perform... she feels betrayed.
After the concert she quits.. but she will wait till they get a replacement pianist.

The Rock star
I know that Blair Babylon likes to use different names for her characters to create different personas. Alexandre Grimaldi has 3 different names and personas. Is he insane, personality disorder, or is it a defense mechanism to control pain, anguish, rage from past traumas. It’s interesting and different and keeps this reader engaged with the story, which has several layers to tell. Georgianna has different surnames and is also called Georgie. She presents herself as a pre-law student but comes across as naive. She disassociates her emotions from her logical thinking and convinces herself of false realities. So at times this reader wonders what she’s thinking when she makes decisions. Which I suppose is the point to explain how disheveled her thought processes are because of the situation she is in. This series definitely has to be read in order and this is the book that defines Georgie and Xans relationship but also his personas. Read on

Georgie isn't sure which personality is more dominate in Alexandre Grimaldi, Xan the rock star,
Alex, the intellect, or Alexandre de Valentinois, the very wealthy landless duke. One thing is very certain. She is attracted to this man, enjoys his company in all of his different personas, and knows that leaving him could devastate her emotionally. This story is slowly revealing the mystery in Alexandre's childhood that had such an impact on his psyche and split him into three distinct personalities. This powerful narrative continues to draw the reader into the story and the lives of its dynamic characters. I love this series - but for the CLIFFHANGER in all of them. Georgie and Xan are drawn to each other over music. Xan is a rock star but plays violin (secretly) worthy of any first chair. Georgie's father ripped off many people, and Georgie has vowed to pay it back. The Russian mob wants it faster. She needs to hide, but Xan wants her to stay. Killer Valentine (the band) is in trouble.
I love the heat between them, and the music. I love the concert descriptions. So vivid.
Don't start this if you haven't read others in the series.

There are sides to Alex that no one knows. Georgie is one of the few, and even then she is surprised. Heart breaking, in so many characters. The music is insane, Xan can write and Georgie is his muse.
I love the links to the songs throughout Xan's stories - really brings the music out in the stories.

Again, another scintillating read by Ms. Babylon. The hooks are now firmly entrenched in me and I "NEED" to finish the complete story of Georgie and Xan; oh, and of course, all the other band members!

First off, can you say split personalities! The ending was also a surprise.I don't know if playing was a good choice, but to each his own. The storyline is interesting and you never know what will happen next.

Couldn't put it down! Read it within 24 hours... helped that I didn't realise it would be another cliffhanger which usually frustrates me but this time it was ok. Couple of teary moments and also lots of laughs too.

How will Georgie resolve her issues left to her by her parents? Who really is Alex/Xan/Alexandre? What happened to him as a teenager that contributed to his personality? How will the band resolve their issues? Curious minds need to know....

Reading the first novel would help with the weak plot line. Bad Boy, Good Girl, & conflict which is unresolved. You probably need to read the series. I’ll look for something else. This is not a series for me.

Blair's books never disappoint. As you get further into Xan and Georgie's story, you start cheering for them to get together, and take on the world of Rock music.

Wild Thing allows us a much deeper dive into this beautifully enchanting and fiercely emotional rollercoaster that is Georgie and Xan. We are privileged to see behind the veil on the mysterious and complex character that is Xan. I loved how we are granted a back stage pass to get to know the other band members as well. We see their strange dynamic up close and personal, and nothing is as it seems when it comes to Killer Valentine. So sit back, fasten your safety belt, and be prepared to for one wild and unforgettable ride!
Georgia is determined to keep her heart as far away from Xan as possible. She is only with him for some temporary no strings fun and a place to hide while she regroups and gets her life back on track. No long term plans for her thank you very much and especially not with a man like Xan. The Ice Princess is firmly in charge and has no desire to relinquish control to anyone. Xan says he only wants Georgie around for some much needed fun and to help with his songwriting. That’s all he needs, and he barely has any time for those things with his band’s packed scheduled. However, what he didn’t count on was how quickly, quietly, and completely she has invaded his life, his heart, and his very soul. Now, all he wants is to keep her safely by his side, and he will do it by whatever means possible. After all alive and brokenhearted is better than dead and never coming back. What is a girl to do when her life hangs in the balance, and the only one who can save her is the very man who can easily destroy her? I loved getting to know these beautiful characters on a much deeper level. They made me fall in love with all of them without any regrets. Georgie and Xan are both phenomenal characters who never failed to show me how beautiful life is when you find the person that completes you and how devastating love can be when it is toyed with and forced into a mold that it was never meant to fill. We have to be true to ourselves if we hope to grow and live a rich and fulfilling life. If we aren’t honest with ourselves, then we can never be truly honesty with anyone else. We all have choices we have to make, but we need to sure that they are good for not only us but for those around us. No matter what people may tell you, family and friends are all that you have in this world, so they should never be treated poorly or taken advantage of.
Blair Babylon has written another utterly incredible work of art. No matter how many of her books I have read, she continues to become an even greater and more formidable author whose fierce passion and unbreakable conviction shines through the crowd to illuminate her uniquely creative and completely unforgettable genius. She excels at shining the light on the human soul and illustrating that we all have pieces of both light and dark inside each of us. We have to choose which we will allow to dominate and control us. Only we have that choice, and it should never be taken lightly.

To say that this series has turned into a favourite of mine is no exaggeration, from Rhiannon's story to Tryp's the band are addictive. Blair has a talent for creating a storyline that's compelling, with subtle twists and complex characters.
Ms. Babylon doesn't just have rockstars, no, she has complex characters that have character flaws, multiple personalities, drug addictions and Russian mafia hit men after them.
In this instalment of the series, Georgie has followed Zan Valentine on the US Tour after he talked her into leaving with him when they met at Rae and Wulf's Marriage. I love how Georgie has kept herself strong, determined to pay back the money her father stole, even though it will probably take her 2 lifetimes. She's kept everyone at bay non of her friends have any ideas about who she really is, and men have never had a chance to unfreeze her iced up heart.
Until that fateful encounter when Georgie Johnson is introduced to Alexandre AKA Xan
If you haven't read part 1 to this story stop now and go read it, not only is it awesome you really have to read it first to understand what's going on in this book.
In this instalment we get to see the stress and sheer will power it takes Zan to keep Killer Valentine together, all the while trying to keep Georgie safe from the Russian Mafia who are out to use her to scare her mother to pay back the money her father stole from them. The only problem Georgie has is that her mother would sell her to the devil for a dime, so she's dead if they grab her.
So get lost in the music, the atmosphere of the runners and life on the road, as Georgie tries not to fall more in love with the most complex rockstar you may ever meet. Zan/Alex or Alexandre... This complex character has woven himself into my heart, I need to know more about him, I want part 3 like NOW but until then I will get my fix from Ms Babylon's short story Alwaysland and continue to read the Devilhouse series as these two series are now converging into the most awesomely addictive book series I've read in a long while.
Oh and ps the links to the music that are in the kindle books are fab, it another added bonus as you delve further into the characters and what drives them to aim for perfection I their art.

Wild Thing begins exactly where Every Breath You Take left off. Immediately you are pulled into the story and the lives of Xan/Alex and Georgie. The story flows seamlessly, as if no time has passed between books. When the band begins to unravel Xan turns to Georgie for help. Her fingers twitch, itching to play the piano. Will her stage fright prevent her from helping Xan?
Georgie knows she must leave Xan/Alex. Staying with Xan only means putting everyone at risk while she hides from the Russian Mob.
As your reading Wild Thing, you're pulled so deep into the story and lives of the characters, it's easy to feel like you're part of the band and not simply a reader or fan of B Babylon. Xan/Alex and Georgie spend so much time denying the need/ability to fall in love; they don't see what's under their noses. Neither Xan nor Georgie can truly face the prospect of leaving each other. Always finding reasons why they shouldn't part ways, taking comfort from each other at night, finally feeling like they've come home. Safe from the world outside, reassurance in every touch. It's like being at school again, having friends deny their falling for their crush, while watching them fall regardless!
As always, there are many twists to this story, as well as a few surprises (some quite jaw dropping) along the way. We get to see a little more of the band members, as well as a few of our favourite characters from other linked In Disguise series.
Once you've read a book by Blair Babylon, you will find no other can compare. Her books hold a depth of character and quality I have never come across before! It's easy to see that, for Blair, writing books and creating these fantastic characters and worlds we become lost in, is not a hobby or job, it's a true vocation!

I’m not sure what to say except I can’t wait for the next episode.
The more I read of Blair Babylon’s work the more I want; she can’t possibly write fast enough. I’ve made no secret of the fact that I don’t care for serials/books with cliffhangers but I’m making exceptions for my favorite authors. Why? For one thing the writing is excellent and the stories compelling; the other thing is that these are not just “chapters” or small pieces of a book being sold at, IMHO, exorbitant prices. Each one of the books/episodes in her Billionaires in Disguise (BID) and Rock Stars in Disguise (RID) are at least novella length.
I won’t give too much of the story away; you need to read it for yourself. Alex/Alexandre/Xan is a seriously damaged person and we really see that in a big way in this book. Georgie is running from the Russian mafia and Xan wants to protect her; this also is very important in this episode.
There is fantastic chemistry between Georgie and Xan but in this episode the sex wasn’t what compelled me to keep reading as much as the story itself (this isn’t a negative comment; just how I felt after reading this book). Georgie’s training as a classically trained pianist plays an important role in this book.
The cliffhanger for this episode left me feeling almost overwhelmed; I have a book hangover. Blair, please hurry with the next book!

The BID: Rae, BID: Lizzy and BID/RID: Georgie/Xan stories all contain connected characters but each serial can also be read on its own. If you haven’t read the other serials/books I highly recommend them.

I won’t give too much of the story away; you need to read it for yourself. Alex/Alexandre/Xan is a seriously damaged person and we really see that in a big way in this book. Georgie is running from the Russian mafia and Xan wants to protect her; this also is very important in this episode.
There is fantastic chemistry between Georgie and Xan but in this episode the sex wasn’t what compelled me to keep reading as much as the story itself (this isn’t a negative comment; just how I felt after reading this book). Georgie’s training as a classically trained pianist plays an important role in this book.
The cliffhanger for this episode left me feeling almost overwhelmed; I have a book hangover. Blair, please hurry with the next book!

The BID: Rae, BID: Lizzy and BID/RID: Georgie/Xan stories all contain connected characters but each serial can also be read on its own. If you haven’t read the other serials/books I highly recommend them.

Blair has done it again. She has a knack for creating whole worlds for her stories and characters to reside in. Every book I've read by her seems to connect with her other books in one way or another. They all take place in the same fictional universe. And Wild Thing is no different.
This is the second book in Georgie and Xan's story. The first book is Every Breath You Take and I would strongly urge you to read that book first. There will be a third book in this series called Lay Your Hands On Me and I for one will be waiting in line to grab it up as soon as it comes out later this summer.
This is the middle book in a series, starting off shortly after the first book ended. Nothing is completely resolved by the end of the book, but along the way many secrets are revealed, hearts are broken and mended, and you will be lost in the whole process.
This book seemed to focus more on the sexy rock god Xan than on Georgie, but I was okay with that. Xan is far more than just a cookie cutter rock star in disguise. He is a complex character that certainly has his fair share of demons. Georgie, the billionaire in disguise, has a ton of secrets, including the fact that she is hiding out from the Russian Mafia.
Will the two of them find a way to get beyond their own baggage and learn to lean on each other? I won't tell you the answer to that, but I can promise you will have a blast reading about it. There is sex galore in Blair's books, but you can also always count on a compelling story and great characters to go along with it.

Picking right up from the end of Every Breath You Take, this is the continuation of the story between Xan and Georgie, please keep tissues close to hand.
Xan is trying to keep the band together, they are his escape, his chance to be the man he wants to be abut with them slowly disintegrating he is facing an uncertain future, one that he has no desire to hurtle towards and he is keen to do whatever he can to keep them together, in his moment of need he turns to Georgie and as much as she is desperate to help, she knows that getting on stage may just be a step too far.
Her options are not just limiting they are critical – she needs to get away but leaving Xan is something that is difficult to comprehend but staying is selfish and in her desperation to avoid the mob, she is putting not only Xan but the rest of the band in harm’s way.
But leaving is not a feasible option when she feels the way that she does – but I couldn’t help but have a bit of a yell at the screen for the two of them to just wake up and smell the coffee - - dear lord they were blind to the obvious!
The characterisation in the book is simply divine, the depth with which the author delves is remarkable and the path she takes us on is one that will stay with you – I loved the story and most of the characters but like all things you can’t like everyone – although who you think that is may be open for discussion.
A great story – thoroughly enjoyed!

Wild Thing drew me in to the complexities and emotions of Georgie and Xan. Georgie has decided to hide out for a few weeks with Killer Valentine while they're on tour to escape the clutches of a certain Russian mob family who demands money for her father's debts. Georgie and Xan both declare they are just looking for a little fun with no strings attached. The pair don't believe in love and never get close enough to others to even form relationships. Once Georgie gets a new identity, she's leaving and tells this to Xan every chance she gets. Xan wants her to stay with the tour for the summer to keep her safe.
What these two people can't see is that they are growing closer every day. They keep finding excuses to stretch their time together and my favorite part is I start to see many sides to Xan/Alex/Alexandre and how each part of him relates to Georgie. She keeps him sane and is the calm to his crazy life. In the heat of the moment Alexandre declares his feelings for Georgie while speaking French, which she doesn't understand. Will these two admit they are better off together than apart? Can Xan ever care about anything other than music?
I can't wait to continue Xan and Georgie's story. Still so many questions and we've yet to really get in to Xan's past and figure out why he's the way that he is.

Georgie already ‘disappeared’ once to escape the Russian mob. Now she needs to do it again… and yet she plans to stay in contact with all her friends. How does that work?? The reasons the mob wants her are frankly a stretch to believe. It’s also a stretch to believe she can “hide out” in plain site with the high-profile Killer Valentine band. For that matter, it’s also unclear how she and Xan got together. These inconsistencies (and incomplete-ities) kept popping up in my head throughout the book.
What IS clear is that both of them insist they “want to f**k and be friends.” Georgie has no intention of staying, yet Xan talks her into it time and again, saying he wants to “protect her.” Georgie sticks to this ‘friend’ mantra until the end of book, when she gets bent out of shape when Xan picks music over her. Um, isn’t that what you insisted on, Georgie?
There’s no getting to know the force of nature that is Xan. I don’t know if that is intentional or not. That kind of thing is intriguing at first, but after awhile I want to see some change in the main character. I want to be let IN. And apparently the love of Xan’s life was a cellist named Natasha, why was this brought up in this story??
It started out strong, and it does end on a mini-cliffhanger, not a HEA, which I actually liked.

Wild Thing is the second book to Xan and Georgie's story. This book had many surprises, some were nice surprises , but the surprise at the end had me tearing up. Especially, the part where the band was reading the fan letter's before the show, that left me in tears. I love the that touch Blair Babylon did of having a link where I can see/hear the music of what was being described in the book. Thank you! I am very intrigued of Xan/Alex's past. What happened that made him "dangerous"? Why the mystery of having to hide to play to the violin? But, while I am anxious to know more about Xan, Georgie does not really interest me. I just can't seem to get caught up in her story or feel like I want more of Georgie. But truthfully, Xan and Georgie's story had been a little hard for me to read since I kept comparing it to Tryp's book, which I loved, and Tryp's story just broke my heart. Reading Alwaysland, helped me understand Xan's attitude towards relationships in the band not being allowed. I can't wait to read the next book of Xan and Georgie's story. Would love to hear more of what's going on with Tryp and Elfie and Rhiannon and Jonas. I also got caught in Cadell, I'm wandering what's his story?
