DNF @ 30% - waay too rushed, clunky writing - its novella length because the author forgot to write a plot and fill in with a compelling story.

I liked this story. Nice and cheesy. Cute couple and sexy times. Nice epilogue with 2 kids and trying for more. Safety: virgin heroine, hero not a manwhore. I love this author's heroines. They are so sweet.

I always look forward to Tory Bakers books and this is a perfect example why. I get a great story with great characters and never want it to end.

Grab this one up for a couple hours of reading pleasure.

Very romantic with little medium steam.

Harlow has had a tough few years since well her parents being killed by a drunk driver but shes taken in by her aunt. But sadly the aunt passes away leaving our girl alone again. But she keeps pushing forward.

That is when she meets Evan who is her boss.. and he has a rule no dating employees.. but now that he has Harlow in his path he is saying  oh hell with the rules. They take some time to start their relationship its pretty slow-ish but they start dating keeping it hush hush for few weeks until they finally shout it from the rooftops.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, sexy times, both virgins

I read it in 2 hours. While the story was ok, I came across way too many grammatical and typing errors. And I counted the word "my" 27 times in 3 pages. I don't usually focus on minor mishaps if the story is good, but this quick read was borderline absurd. Add in the errors and it was barely a 3 star for me.

Good

This was a really sweet and sexy story. I liked both Harlow and Evan very much. They were both really nice, down to earth people. They had an instant connection and great chemistry together.

Completely safe. No om/ow drama. Wasn’t clear on the H’s sexual history and h was a virgin. No abuse and no drama in the relationship.

Great older man younger women romance

Harlow lost her parents while she was still in high school. Her paternal aunt gave her a loving home, at 18, she lost her too, and she has been on her own since. College is on hold for now. She is working as many hours as she can to hold on to the beach house her aunt left w.
Evan at 35, is a successful restaurateur, he just opened his third location and it is the best so far.
When Evan sees Harlow, he feels a strong attraction. He has no fraternization policy. A lazy evening on the beach has Evan ready to break his rules.
Sweet and steamy older man younger women romance with a great epilogue to wrap up their story.

My first read by Tory Baker and it was such a fast read! Perfect short story with a happily ever after when you're needing to get out of a slump. Little bit of spice combined with the sweetest love story. Evan is the boss, Harlow is the employee, there's a strict no fraternization policy, but that rule goes out the window the minute he sees her for the first time.

Note to self: having a sexy cover photo and a catchy blurb do not always guarantee a nice reading experience. This book is a case in point. Personally, I do not think the cover even connects with the story itself. What I mean is, it is not really as sexy as I thought it was. My reading experience is like this: it is like listening to someone speak but then after maybe a few minutes, you lose interest because it just fell flat and do not make sense anymore. With all the narration from both characters (I think this is only just 10% dialogue, which is downright disappointing), all I just wanted to happen is to finish it at a quick. Good thing this is only less than 100 pages long.

I guess the takeaway here is while narration plays an essential part in storytelling, having a good balance with good dialogue is still what makes a story more engaging.

Amazing story!

I loved every minute of Evan and Harlows story. It was sweet and sexy , this couple really had tons of chemistry . There journey is a beautiful one, I didn't want it to end. A must read book !!

Know what you are getting:
This HOT, feel-good quickie has lots of sexy fun times and an OTT adorable HEA.

This is not a long story but the author does an amazing job of filling in all the gaps so that it is not full of holes while also not rushing too much.

I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters, despite the length of the book, bringing a greater sense of reality to her story.

Harlow works at The Ocean Breeze as a hostess and a table busser. Evan owns the restaurant and has strict rules about dating within co0workers because of drama it causes. However when he sees Harlow he forgets his rule and wants to throw her across his desk and have his way with her. Harlow is attracted to her new boss but needs her job too much to risk acting on it. On night after work when Evan shows up on the beach where she is relaxing things get a little heated between them but he pulls back before they do more than kiss. Evan knows that Harlow is different than other women for him so he plans to make sure she knows it. So the next time he sees her he invites her to his place for dinner. They start seeing each other in secret but soon he gets tired of hiding his feelings for her. Will he be able to convince Harlow that they can go public about how they feel?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
