#暖和和手套國 by #ItoOgawa is another hubby’s blockbuster read. The book is about a loving family from Latvia dealing with hubby’s disappearance due to political imprisonment. The story had a dejected tone yet wife/mother/head of the household simply had to keep surviving by selling arts and knitting gloves. Additional images: Arts from the book. #chinesetranslation. He gives the book a 5⭐️.
I didn't quite get the vibes of the story at the beginning, as it felt like a children story tale. But after reading first half of the book, I started to get what's going on, and by the end of the story, I was deeply motivated. This whole story is actually based on the history and culture of Latvia, where people treasure their natural resources and utilise them with a grateful heart. Also, gloves is a big part in their culture, whenever there is a newborn, a wedding, a funeral, or if you want to express your emotions and thanks. A very heart-warming book on how to live your life happily and appreciate what you have, even though you are living in a tough social situation. Very coherent to what Hong Kong is facing now.
