Whenever cinema is changing it is important for someone to document it and this book, Cinema: Images & Issues is a documentation of what was happening in a particular phase in Hindi cinema.

The book is a collection of author Bhawana Somaaya’s editorials published in a weekly and explores various topics on cinema be it gender, technology, religion, marriage, romance and rain and how the projection altered over the years. I was quite intrigued by all these topics on cinema that this book covers so efficiently. I highly recommend this book especially if you are interested in learning about the history of Hindi Cinema.
