“You need to be careful.”

The day the manager of my rock band said that changed my life.

As Brooklyn Dawn’s newest member on probation, I didn’t think I’d have to worry about anything but rocking hard.

I didn’t expect my tumultuous past to come out.

I definitely didn’t expect us to be in danger.

I never considered I’d need a bodyguard.

Or that my best friend in the band, our drummer, Cooper, an ex-Ranger, would vie for that role—along with a much more personal one as my guy.

Forget the bodyguard my label hired. Cooper is determined to take care of me.

Onstage and off. In bed and out.

When friends become foes and strangers become threats, trust is all I have left.

But falling in love with the last man I ever expected to is just one more complication while I’m trying to stay drama free and most importantly, alive.

Author’s note: Play Mine is a standalone friends to lovers rock star romance. The Brooklyn Dawn series has a suspense arc that goes through the entire series. It will be resolved in the final book. Play Mine ends in a happily ever after with no cliffhanger for the main couple.

Teagan running to close friend, Cooper, one night in fear, is the catalyst for the turn in their relationship. Unbeknown to either, they each had harbored more than friendly feelings for the other. When Teagan comes to him looking for comfort after something spooks her, Cooper can no longer hold back his feelings for her - both the protective and the more than friendly kind. Can they keep it on the down low from their band, Brooklyn Dawn? Can Cooper protect his love when the same menace that's been terrorizing the band comes after her?

Cooper and Teagan are perfect for each other. He's alpha protective and can hold his own with Teagan, who may come across at first as soft and pliant, but actually is quite strong and sassy when she feels he's doing things without keeping her in the know. And that chemistry?! HOT!!! Put a former Army Ranger with skills (drumming and otherwise) together with the love of his life and what do you get?

The band is in a security bubble lately, thanks to the events of the previous two installments. None of the members is supposed to go anywhere without security agents, so when Teagan snuck out that night without her bodyguard, yeah, not so smart. But it lead her to her friend who was really all along more than just a long-time friend. And things exploded from there. Of course, other, less fun things happen after, and the overall suspense arc of this series is furthered, with no resolution. But that's OK because the epilogue is so freaking sweet. I adored Cooper and Teagan together and cannot wait for more Brooklyn Dawn shenanigans.

I was a bit hard on Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott in my review of Play Fast, the book that preceded this one in the series. There’s an ongoing suspense story arc that in my opinion overshadowed the romance in that book and it was a very heavy book in a time when I didn’t need heavy because 2020 has been heavy all on its own. I’ll admit that I worried I might find that again in this book since the threat to Ripper Records and their artists was not found and sorted in that book, but Play Mine was a like a breath of fresh air. Yes, there are still problems, some big ones in fact, but the romance between Brooklyn Dawn’s drummer, Cooper Davis, and the latest addition to the band Teagan Daly was pretty much front and center throughout. More than that, we had time with all the band members and even members of the co-headlining band, Warning Sign. Readers were treated to the camaraderie they’ve come to expect from this writing duo, the fun times, the crazy times, the teasing, and the coming together as a family of friends when one of their own or in this case more than one of their own is hurting.

When Teagan joined Booklyn Dawn and was trying to find her footing, Cooper was there to ease her way and they became the best of friends often spending down time together. Cooper has harbored a crush on Teagan but worried he’d scare her off, but when Teagan is spooked by an incident it is Cooper she seeks out for comfort and the gloves come off. Innuendoes are flying, more than friendly touches, and before long a memorable kiss. I really liked these two together Former Ranger Cooper is a bit of a stickler and serious and Teagan is like a ray of sunshine to his big bad self. I felt we really got to know these two, the life experiences that make them who they are, and their hopes and dreams of the future. This romance moved at warp speed, I was actually shocked how fast they got together, but given the amount of time they’ve spent together previously it wasn’t out of the realm of possibility. Their intimate moments sizzled off the page, they were playful, sensuous, sexy, and erotic not to mention plentiful…ahhh the rush of new love.

Fast paced and exciting, but with the overwhelming sense of family and long lasting friendships, Play Mine is exactly the kind of romance book I’ve come to expect from authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott.

Another great book in the Brooklyn Dawn rockstar journey. Cooper & Teagan are friends who are becoming more, at the same time as they ponder if someone is intentionally out to get the band.

These two authors never fail to come together to write an epic rockstar romance that has me joyfully laughing and swooning, all while also keeping me on the edge of my seat in suspense. Both have collaborated on several books together and one would think that they’d run out of ideas, but no, each character is unique and the storylines never fail to captivate me.

Brooklyn Dawn is back and Play Mine focuses on their newest member, pianist Teagan and drummer Cooper. I adore Teagan as she is this effervescent, spirited soul that is both likable and relatable. She has secrets from her past that haunt her and is insecure about her place in the band. Yet, this girl, while vulnerable, is also strong and her strength of character continues to grow throughout the story. Cooper is positively charming. This ex-army Ranger and delicious drummer is also a great friend to Teagan and to the rest of his bandmates. He has a protective streak and is commanding when he needs to be, but also has a kind-hearted presence. It was enjoyable to see him all tied in knots over his feelings for Teagan. These two together are dynamite with several kindle melting scenes and to witness their relationship unfold was very entertaining.

Play Mine is not only a friends-to-lovers rockstar romance, it is also a thrilling novel with an aura of suspense. Threats are circulating around the band and Teagan seems to be the most recent target. It is someone for her past or perhaps involves something more sinister? The events occurring within the pages left me wondering just who is the real target, who instigating it, and why. Some of the mystery is resolved by the end of this book and the couple do get their HEA, but the main underlying mystery is not entirely wrapped up.

The Brooklyn Dawn series continues to enthrall me as each of the band members exhibit their distinctive personalities and contribution to the band. They are an energetic bunch and their camaraderie is impressive. With each performance, the authors create palpable excitement that shines through the pages. Play Mine is a story of friendship, music, family, and love. It is an engaging friends-to-lovers romance with an interesting storyline and intriguing suspense. It is a book that you won’t want to miss!

Wow!! Loved it!!

Teagan is the keyboardist for the hugely popular rock band Brooklyn Dawn and is still hoping that she fits in with the band. She has become best friends with their drummer, Cooper over the last two years and he is exactly who she goes running for after believing her ex has tracked her down and wants to do harm to her while she is practicing alone in the middle of the night at their next venue.

Cooper wants to do nothing more than take Teagan in as she also just found out that her townhouse has also burned down that same night. Teagan was clueless that Cooper wanted more than the friend zone even though she has had some of those same thoughts. Everyone in the band has their own personal bodyguard since they believe that the bands from Ripper Records have someone out there who wants to do harm to their famous bands.

This is only the beginning for this engrossing, fantastic book. These two authors do it every time for me giving me extremely hot rock stars living life on the edge and still looking out for each other. They also sure know how to give me all the chemistry and suspense that I have come to expect from them. This book had me sitting and reading it all at one time because I just couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what comes next!! I absolutely love their work.

This is a great read that had me pulled completely in to Teagan and Cooper's world. There's such an amazing connection between them. Best friends first, so comfortable with each other, their journey was so natural. Great emotions, amazing heat, the sweet, the intense, the laughs. I love all of these characters in this series and am looking forward to more.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I absolutely adored this book. I’m not good with a synopsis, so I can only tell you how I felt reading this. I’ve become a member of Brooklyn Dawn, I have been through all the blood, sweat and tears that have been written about. I have been the girlfriend of every male band member in this series. This time my name was Teagan and I think Cooper is so freakin hot!!! I have loved and lost loves and fallen in love with my forever. I have sat at an after party and danced, laughed and just chilled, I have ridden on that tour bus and felt like I couldn’t take it one more day. I have stood on that stage and sang my heart out and beat the crap outta the drums during my solo. I LIVE THIS BOOK!!! It is an honest to goodness put me in a band read!!! Excellent ladies!!!!!

4.5 stars--PLAY MINE is the third instalment in the contemporary, adult BROOKLYN DAWN erotic, rock, romance series co-authored by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. Focusing on the members of the rock band Brooklyn Dawn, this is twenty-eight year old, ex-Ranger and drummer Cooper Dallas, and keyboardist Teagan Daly’s story line. PLAY MINE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. Several characters cross over from the authors’ Oblivion World series.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Cooper and Teagan) PLAY MINE follows the friends (bandmates) to lovers relationship between twenty-eight year old, ex-Ranger and drummer Cooper Dallas, and keyboardist Teagan Daly, and the threats against the musicians who work for Ripper Records. With the latest threats focusing on Teagan Daly, Cooper Dallas, a former US Army Ranger and Teagan’s band mate declares himself the personal guardian of our story line heroine after a suspicious fire forced Teagan to move in with the band’s drummer. As the team at Ripper Records places a security guard with each of the band’s members, an investigation into the who, how and why reveals no suspects or motives until Brooklyn Dawn’s guitarist Zane is drugged resulting in a paparazzi nightmare. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Teagan and Cooper, and the potential fall-out as the band goes on the road in the aftermath of attacks against our story line heroine.

The relationship between Cooper and Teagan is a best friends to lovers, Brooklyn Dawn bandmates wherein their forced time together pushes the couple closer together. Cooper Dallas has lusted after his best friend for as long as he can remember but Teagan has been oblivious to the sparks between our leading couple. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic, spontaneous and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including all of the members of Brooklyn Dawn: Lead singer Lindsey York (Alex Nash), lead guitarist Jamie DuCaine, rhythm guitarist Zane Landry, bass guitarist Oz Taylor, and stylist Daisy Flannigan; Roth Defense specialist Noah Jordan, and Cole Riggs, Ripper Records executives CEO Donovan Lewis, and Lila Ronson Shawcross Crandall and her husband Nick (Oblivion), and several members of from the other bands at Ripper Records including Ricki (Warning Sign), Michael Shawcross (Warning Sign), and Deacon McCoy (Oblivion).

PLAY MINE is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love. A story of betrayal and vengeance, threats and protection. The fast paced premise is powerful and emotional; the romance is seductive and captivating; the characters are dynamic and charismatic. PLAY MINE ends on a happily ever after-for now as the conflict has yet to be resolved.

Teagan Daly is the keyboard player for the rock band Brooklyn Dawn. She is fairly new to the band and not 100% sure of her place. Also the band and their producer Ripper Records have received threats. A security protection agency has been hired and everyone has been asked to be extra careful. Just before a performance in Brooklyn prior to leaving on a concert tour Teagan found herself feeling restless so she slipped away from her bodyguard and headed to the club where the band would be playing for a charity event. She wanted to use up some of her nervous energy by practicing a few songs on her keyboard that was already set up there for the band's performance. Even if it was practically the middle of the night. While there she heard noises in the supposedly empty club that scared her. Was it her ex-boyfriend who wasn't ready to let her go? Or was it whoever was threatening Ripper Records and their musicians? In a panic she ran from the club straight to her close friend Cooper Dallas.

In addition to being Brooklyn Dawn's drummer Cooper Dallas is an ex-Army Ranger. He can take care of himself if there is a threat. And yes, he is Teagan's close friend but he wants to be more. He loves Teagan and needs to up his game to the next level. When she ran to him, scared to death, he knew he had to protect her and make her feel safe. That night was a turning point for Cooper and Teagan. That was the night they became more than friends. They became lovers. Where this relationship would end up was yet to be seen. Cooper knew where he wanted it to go. He wanted to put a ring on Teagan's finger.

Play Mine by Cari Quin and Taryn Elliot is the third book in their Brooklyn Dawn series. This series has an overall arc of threats to Ripper Records and their musicians. Play Mine continues this arc with the mystery, suspense and events which occur during Teagan's and Cooper's story. This book works well as a standalone though. I never felt like I was lost or wondering what I missed in the first two books. I really liked the personalities of the band members, their management and security. I really enjoyed getting to know Teagan and Cooper and riding along with them on their road to their Happily Ever After. Anyone looking for a great steamy, super sexy rock band story need look no further than Play Mine.

Play Mine is Cooper and Tegan’s love story and, despite it being romantic suspense, I’d say it is very much their blossoming romance which takes centre stage here.

I loved that these two were friends first and foremost. They had a great relationship, very much best friends, comfortable in each other’s company. Teagan was oblivious to Cooper’s not so platonic feelings towards her until a kiss and some not so subtle dirty dancing clued her in to the fact that there could be more between them than just friendship. I loved the smoothness of that realisation, that transition, which actually could’ve been so awkward but their already close relationship, the familiar banter between them, ensured it wasn’t. Once they took that next step, hoo boy did things get extremely hot between the sheets, and various other places! I loved the fact that Teagan was confident and unapologetic when it came to her wants and needs, if you know what I mean, and with Cooper, she sure had the right man for the job.

I absolutely love the way these authors write rockstars. Brooklyn Dawn in particular are a great bunch. Their camaraderie alone make them more than just members of a band, they’re family. Their musical references and ability to place you right there in the crowd on tour with the band, to have you singing along in my particular case, is second to none. In fact, never mind in the crowd, you could be up there with these artists, such is the vivid imagery of the onstage shenanigans created by these authors.

Although the suspense itself does not overshadow our couple’s relationship, nevertheless it’s very much there waiting in the wings. When it rears it’s head, it takes quite a dramatic turn, going from threats to actions very quickly, actions which have very serious long term consequences. You won’t find any answers here, however, just more questions leading into the next book in the series. Each book is a complete story when it comes to the main couple but I personally think you would be better invested in the series if you read them in order, not just when it comes to the suspense arc running through it, but so you can get to know all the members of the band. The dramatic events which took place in Play Mine have left me hugely intrigued and the next book in this series can’t come soon enough.

The good: I enjoyed the building relationship between Cooper and Teagan. I enjoyed how their romance developed and grew. Coopers' care and treatment of Teagan are touching and romantic, the inclusion of other members of Oblivion is natural, and fits in well within the story. I loved the inclusion of Donovan and the interplay between Jamie and “lord Donovan.” The care Cooper takes with Zane and his being “roofied” in place of another character was endearing and helped create well-rounded characters. I really enjoyed the behind the scenes of the concerts, the fan meet, the tour prep, the interplay between the band members and the other bands. the actual story is very well written and developed, the problems really appear with the "suspense" part of the tale.
The problems: It’s getting tiresome having a mystery storyline with little to no advancement or explanations. The weird attack in the venue, (Teagans over the top reaction makes her look ditzy) the fire, the attempt at doping have no resolution and appears to be random. Also, there are persons threatening Ripper records. Everyone is told the threats have caused death and harm. Bodyguards would be assigned, yet everyone does everything they can to ditch the bodyguards. They know how serious the situation is, yet they ditch their bodyguards ALL the time. there are no repercussions over their actions. It was very obvious how they would act when it was announced there would be bodyguards. this is cliched writing. and that NEVER happens with these authors.
The suspense plotline needs to be tightened up and become more integrated into the plot, not inserted at odd times, or as an afterthought. There are two more books to this series coming out, I think the suspense angle needs to be worked resolved and given up.

This is book 3 in the Brooklyn Dawn series and while it could be read as a stand alone, I recommend reading the previous books before this one as there is a larger story ARC happening in this series vs just the book. In this one we get Cooper and Teagan's story. Teagan is the newest member of the band who never thought she had anything to worry about now but getting on stage and rocking with her band. She wasn't expecting her past to come back to haunt her, nor was she expecting to have to have a bodyguard follow her around everywhere she went. Or that her best friend would want to take over the role of protector, along with things much more personal. Cooper has kept to the status quo of best friend with Teagan until she comes running to him scared. And that pushes him to figure out exactly what he wants and needs from her, and actually show her as well. Now he has to not only keep her safe but show her what they could truly have together.

I absolutely loved this one! I loved Teagan from the first when we saw her in Elle and Mal's book and I was hoping she would get her own story. And boy did she! She and Cooper have a chemistry that is off the charts but the fact that everything between them started as best friends? Beyond phenomenal! It's the perfect way to start for them, in my opinion. And they not only know each other but they truly want the other person to be happy, no matter what. I loved every second of it!!! But now I really need Zane's story because I need to know what happened!!! Honestly, I think I love this series more than LIO and I didn't think that could happen!

A love story with intrigue threading its way throughout the book. From the terror, Tegan felt in the first scene to the final paragraph where there are questions still unanswered, but forthcoming in the next book. Ripper Records’ bands are being targeted for an unknown reason causing fear and havoc on the players. This is with security in place. Speaking of said security, individual band members spend some of their time avoiding their presence, which causes additional issues. A must-read! Each book is standalone with a HEA, but the intrigue links and hooks are in each book. Beginning with Play Dirty continuing through Play Fast, including this book: Play Mine and the next book in the series, Play Hard. Between the mystery of who is targeting band members and why, the romance story is off the charts in heat, humor, and old-fashioned fun. I wish the band, “Brooklyn Dawn” were real, I would go to their concert and fangirl for autographs.
The romance was off the charts with drummer Cooper and keyboardist Teagan leaving the “friends’ zone” far, far behind them, to become lovers that were insatiable! The heat radiating off the pages was so scorching hot; I was surprised that my I-Pad did not have smoke radiating off the screen. Not a story easily left behind to go on the next book in the series. I want to just “dig in and stay within the pages” hangout and not have Teagan and Cooper’s story end.
Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott’s books never disappoint. I will buy every book they write together or alone! Always a 5-star read.

This book was sent by the authors for an honest review. For me, one of the best things about this book is that I actually liked both characters from the beginning. Usually it takes awhile for me to warm up to the female character but I liked Teagan from the beginning. She and Cooper made a great couple. After being with the band for a couple of years, Teagan still felt like she had something to prove in order to keep her spot with the band. Cooper didn't think she had anything to prove to anyone. He just wanted out of the best friends zone. After a scare at one of the venues, she goes running straight to Cooper. Things could not have worked out better for Cooper because he finally has a chance to prove to her that they could have something great. Teagan is worried what the rest of the band will think but Cooper manages to get her to stop thinking about that. They each realize that they are in love with each other but are too afraid to say anything. Meanwhile, security has ratcheted up due to some scary incidents. No one can figure out why someone would be after them but are determined not to let that stop their lives. I'm wondering who is the real target and why. I loved the way the book ended, just wish it hadn't ended so soon. Looking forward to reading the next book just to get more clues to the mystery.

Missing Something

It's a bit of a letdown when you wait forever for another installment of a series, and when you finally get it, it doesn't seem to go anywhere.

Don't get me wrong... the story was pretty good. I liked Teagan and Cooper's story...not nearly as much as Lindsey and Nash's story (Play Dirty)...maybe about as much as Oz and Daisy's (Play Fast). It just felt like the little bit of danger/suspense was (1) too little and (2) kinda left hanging. I know the intent is to wrap up the whole suspense arc in the last book (Play Hard)...but I could have used a little more.

And I have to wait until February to get the last book?! Part of the problem with that is that I'll likely forget a lot of what I read, and how I felt about what I read, over these next 4 momths.

I have so many questions: There's the obvious one-- who is behind all of the threats and danger at Ripper? Then, since everyone else in the band is (or in Zane's case, will be) hooked up, does Jamie finally get her love... or has she been hooking up Noah on the DL all this time? And having Donovan Lewis play the charity gig with BD has me wondering about him. Does "Lord Lewis" get a book? Do we get a deeper look at his life?

So many questions... so much time until the next book. 😔

Oh. My. God. So much love for this book!!

I love this series so I couldn't wait for the release of Play Mine. Oh. My. God. It is so worth the wait. It is now my all time favorite book by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot!!!

Play Mine seriously has everything I love in a story.....

Suspense ✔
Rockstars ✔
Dirty talking alpha ✔
Humor ✔
Friends to lovers ✔
Hot and steamy ✔
HEA ✔

Play Mine centers around drummer Cooper Dallas and piano player Teagan Daly, both members of Brooklyn Dawn. Oh how I absolutely love these two!!! Teagan is the newest member of the band and in a way still feels like an outsider. Except with Cooper. They are besties. He's who she turns to when things go sideways late one night. Well early morning. There is turning back from that point on. Cooper has had more than she's my friend feelings for her but was afraid to lose her friendship. When it seems that Teagan is now the target of whomever is after Ripper Records he turns into her protector. Soon their mutual feelings come to light and their chemistry is impossible to hide. Holy hot AF!!

Gah!! I can't say enough just how well written this book is!!! These authors really delivered a well thought out storyline filled with laughs, a few tears, suspense and a perfect HEA!

WOW! I had been waiting for this one. This is the third installment in this series but if you haven't read the first two books you could read this as a standalone as anything you need to know is revealed as it comes up. This one could be classified as a friends to lover trope since it involved bandmates Teagan Daly (keyboards) and Cooper Dallas (drums) who start out as best friends (even though Cooper has had the hots for Teagan since she joined the band). When a suspicious fire at Teagan's home leaves it uninhabitable (while she is not there) she is forced (according to Cooper) to move in with Coop. The band has had a run of bad luck with stalkers, etc., and security has been tight and now every member is assigned a bodyguard, especially after Zane is drugged by a drink that seemingly was intended for Teagan. With the band back on tour, Coop and Teagan are forced into a closeness and along with the band, this one was wild. This one was full of sexy goodness and suspense all rolled up in one. Add in the secondary characters of the rest of the band and the respective partners along with the Ripper gang and this is one big family! This ends on a happily for now since it is not totally resolved which means there is more to come. YAY!

This couple is absolutely adorable. They’re super sweet and their relationship is based on a deep and trusting friendship.

Teagan has a major case of imposter syndrome being the last member to join the band. She doesn’t fully believe that she deserves everything that’s come her way, especially because of some decisions in her past that have left her doubting herself.

Cooper has been an incredible friend to Teagan while trying to ignore his increasing feelings for her. He’s firmly in the friend zone until a wild 24 hours changed everything for them both.

Absolutely adorable and possibly the sweetest couple in the whole Oblivion universe, Teagan and Cooper had me smiling at my phone reading their story. But don’t let their sweetness fool you, there’s still plenty of heat between these two.

We don’t get any answers in this book about the suspense arc spanning the series and I’m on edge worried about all the characters in this universe we’ve come to know and love. But the resilience the entire Ripper Records family has in the face of an unnamed threat, in spite of the tragedy in their past, makes me want to face down the danger right alongside them.

I can’t wait to see what’s next for Brooklyn Dawn and the other bands in this universe.

This book was really enjoyable. I loved reading about Teagan finally realizing how awesome Cooper was and how much he's cared for her this whole time. I was right there with her father and bestie when they were like, 'Yes, he's clearly loved you this whole time and wants you forever. (did you really not see it?)' I enjoyed seeing them find out how they were going to make a relationship work on top of their friendship.

I did not really like Teagan so much in the beginning. She felt somewhat annoying between 'I know how to fight' but then leaves her house without her purse and any self-defense items and then panics when she hears weird sounds. It felt like she'd lost her brain through parts of the story and then found it the next paragraph. I didn't like that she and the others kept trying to ditch or avoid their security detail when they know, they KNOW, that they're under threat. They should know how serious the situation is, you don't get bodyguards when it's all safe. On top of that, leaving out important information that could help the security people do their jobs better felt like shooting themselves in the foot.

Overall, I liked this book in spite of it's flaws.

What do you do when you're in love with your best friend? If you're Cooper, you go slowly crazy, waiting for her to notice. And try not to make it too obvious. While also trying not to kill anyone else who notices how beautiful and sexy she is. You know, no big deal. Then, you find out she's in danger. And you need to stay close but staying close means you spend more time with your obsession and it's a vicious cycle...

What do you do when you realize your best friend is a hot piece of man and might want to be more than friends? But you also doubt you'll be good any good at this because...bad past relationship. Okay it was horrible. But you're bestie also works with you and you don't want to ruin your friendship of your dream career. Did I mention he's hot?

Nothing's ever easy when your a rock star. Especially when you're popular with both the fans and the crazies. Taryn Quinn takes us on another hot, funny ride on the extended Oblivion world. Cooper and Teaghan will become another favorite couple.  I promise

Cooper and Teagan have been friends for what seems like forever. There have been unexplored romantic (lustful?) feelings between them that neither acknowledged. Then one night Teagan runs to Cooper when she's in trouble, and the feelings morphed from friends to protector/protectee, to lovers. These are my favorite characters in the Brooklyn Dawn series thus far. They are easily the most relatable in my mind, and their story just flowed.

Aside from the characters, my favorite thing about this book is that it skipped the whole "fight and break up then someone apologizes and it's all rosy again" thing. The characters know each other almost better than they know themselves, and any arguments/fights they may have feel natural and are resolved without drama.

This is a standalone book, but the others in this series were awesome too, and should not be missed! The main characters' story is resolved in this HEA book, but as the authors warned, there is a thread of mystery and danger that runs through this series and will be resolved in the last book.

Play Mine was another good angsty rock and roll romance to add to the Brooklyn Dawn family! If you haven't read the other two books in the series you will not be lost because each book is focused on one couple within the band but I do recommend reading the other two to really get to know the personalities of the members. Reading Teagan and Cooper's story was like revisiting old friends because these two have been an integral part of the band as well as best friends. They didn't want to rock the boat of their friendship but when danger enters Teagan's life Cooper realizes that time really is fleeting and he is finally going to make his move! Play Mine has a lot of heat between these two going on so if that is not what you like to read about in a romance then this might not be the book for you because "hot and heavy" is a big part of Teagan and Cooper's story. It was told from dual POV and rock and roll is the heart of the Brooklyn Dawn series.

Sexy, hot and oh so sinfully epic!!!

Suspense from the get go...Teagan is scared and I can feel it right along with her.

Alright, I am on board Cooper Dallas I want to know you I want to see you take care of Teagan and I want to get to know you.

Two chapters in and this book is already too difficult to put down. I am so into these two getting together just as bad as I want to know everything about the threat to Ripper Records Bands.

Taryn and Cari blow my mind with every single book they write. Brooklyn Dawn is inching its way to my love for Oblivion. There are so many intricacies that go into this book that keep me guessing right along with all the bandmates.

And OH EM GEE Teagan and Cooper are rockstars outside the stage as well. Their passion is crazy, fantastic and magical.

This book was oh so worth the wait!!!! Seriously if you love rockstars, check…..steamy passion, check...epic band and shows, check...these ladies slay with the rockstars!!!!

This book had everything...mystery, suspense, danger, romance, crazy hot sex and or course music! From the minute I started reading it, I was hooked.

It starts with Teagan not being able to sleep and needing to go to the venue so she can play on the piano. She does this in the middle of the night but gets spooked. She feels that someone's watching her so she breaks out of the place and flees the scene. Terrified she arrives at her best friend and bandmates place. He brings her inside and tries to help her but before they can get that under control, her place is set on fire. It seems that the band and Ripper Records are being targeted and this was only the beginning. While they battle these events, they can't deny their strong feelings for each other. The romance in this story was fun to watch.

This is a great series and I can't wait to read the next to find out who's behind all these events and why.

Loved it! No one writes RockStar Steamy like Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. The story was engaging, the romance was steamy hot, but had sooo many heartfelt ahhh moments – lovely. Cooper’s devotion made the story for me, and their friends-to-lovers foundation made this romance believable. It was heartening seeing Teagan find her voice, her confidence, and acceptance of not only her gift, but that she was a valued and loved member of the Brooklyn Dawn family.

Really enjoyed that the suspense/drama was dialed down a bit in this story. There was lots of romance, but also spent significant quality time with various band members behind the scenes making music just for the joy of it, in addition to performing and enjoying their found family while on the road. Loved crossover cameos by Teagan’s best friend Elle and her husband Malachi (Warning Sign/Found in Oblivion series) which were interwoven throughout the story. Can’t wait for next installment in this series.

I adore every rockstar story that Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott write. I inhale them and revel in them, loving every second when I am reading them. Play Mine? More perfection from these two talented authors who truly know how to write a rockstar romance! Best-friends-to-lovers is one of my all-time favorite genres and this dynamic duo wrote it to perfection! Teagan and Cooper are everything!! I loved their close friendship and how much they cared for one another. Cooper would do anything for Teagan and it was his protective nature that won me over. Their story was funny, sexy and suspenseful. All important ingredients for an addictive story. I couldn't wait to see how the drama would unfold with Brooklyn Dawn. And the writers did not disappoint! They set up Zane's story perfectly and I cannot wait to see what happens and who is after the band! The more I read of this series, the more I fall in love! 5 stars

Best friends for years and when Teagan runs to Cooper when she is scared he will do anything to protect and make her feel better. This book is so much more than friends to lovers though, we have suspense/drama, a band who are family, actual family and so much more. This isn't a wait until the very end to get Cooper and Teagan together, once one decided to say something there was no going back, no putting it off and it is one of the things I enjoyed most about this story. The will they won't they can get old and instead we get passion and affection and love. Teagan may have freaked herself out at the beginning but we see how strong she is. Cooper is ex-Ranger and we really see that side of him come out regarding Teagan but we also see a sweeter/softer side as well.

This book is so good I couldn't put it down!

Play Mine is the next book in the Brooklyn Dawn series from Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. You don't have to read the other books, but I suggest you do. In fact, just start at the beginning with the Oblivion books and go from there. Awesome reads and the background laid carries all the way through the other series.

Cooper and Teagan have been friends since Teagan joined the band. And lately, they've been best friends. One crazy day leads to one hot night and all their secret feelings for each other come to light. With all the things threatening the band and Ripper Records, it's not a hardship for either of them to have to spend more time together. But how long will it take for them both to tell the other how they really feel?

Although Teagan and Cooper get their HEA, Cari and Taryn once again leave you just a morsel to hang onto for the next book.

Yes, Teagan and Cooper are friends. Yes, they are both in the band Brooklyn Dawn. And Yes, their story is not to be missed! Hot, Sexy, and a pleasure to read.
From the tour bus to the concerts, to these band members, you will keep your on your toes with all the antics. The intrigue also continues in this book as members are being targeted by the person or persons out to destroy the bands and Ripper records.
This book is a good escape from our daily lives that will bring you happiness as we get to visit with these band members who have become like family to us. So set down and read about how Teagan and Cooper become more than just friends! Oh, and Donovan has a scene that... well you'll know when you read it. Can't wait for Zane's story next.

Wow! Wow! Wow! 5 stars is just not enough for the love i have for Cooper and Teagan. Hes been watching and waiting for her to realize friends just isnt enough. I loved how seamlessly they meshed. Being best friends helped since they already loved each other but circumstances forced them a little faster. If youve read previous novels, you know theres a threat to all they have. Teagan becomes the center of this threat but Cooper is not going to let anything happen. Cooper made me swoon more than once and i think hes the most romantic of this rocker world. Teagan is so sweet that you cant help but love her too. The antics of this band make me laugh and simultaneously want to be a member.
