Juliet Gauvin

Juliet is originally from California. She is a true, hopeless, all-in romantic. Her first kiss was with a Frenchman in Paris, her first love was an Eagle Scout, her first crash and burn was with someone from Harvard (Jules studied history at Yale—she should have known better). When she isn't writing she can be found photographing landscapes, binge watching entire series on Netflix, or dancing the international cha cha.

She lives for the real magic in the world—it exists—in the form of an ancient building, a kind smile from a stranger, the inexplicable experiences that come from being in love, an erotic encounter with a gorgeous international stranger…

The Irish Cottage was inspired by Jules’ love for all things Irish. A love sparked in her teens by Riverdance; fanned into a flame when she befriended a group of Irish kids in France; and blazed into a wildfire by a visit to the Emerald Isle.

Earlier this year, an AncestryDNA test confirmed what Jules has suspected for a while: she’s a third Irish (one of her grandparents continues to be unknown but as luck would have it, the test divined that he must have been an Irish-Swede).

Not as good as.the others

This book seemed to have less weight than the others. There were several typos and less plot. I loved the addition of Camilla in the story as well as the Audre/Kilian subplot. However, the Connor/Elizabeth story was.very lacking.

I miss the Mags letters!

The adventures continue

Elizabeth abandoned Connor return to their home in Ireland, planning to settle down into life in the small town. But nothing ever goes as planned. The death of Elizabeth’s good friend in America, and business problems in Rome for Connor mean that things cannot go as planned. But no one expects being held at gun point one more time!
A fun read, despite the tension. Struggles in the marriage and in personal lives. Not as much sex as on the past. Book in the series, thankfully. Loved the description of the Moon Circle - sounds like something I’d like to try!
I’m not ready to quit reading this series!!!

In a world ruled by men women struggle to understand their languages. From sullen to verbal diarrhea to nonstop swearing it's a man's forte. Trying to be heard by a man over the [outing and chest thumping proves to be the theme of Elizabeth's quest in this book.
Cam her and Mag's life-long friend has left a lasting impression on how to be a strong woman. Elizabeth's new life as Lady Lara has a new set of expectations she is not sure she can or wants to live up to. It is a title without teeth. Ancient and antiquated. She is modern and American. Not really set in the ways of the past not is she a shrinking violet who is accustomed to being told her opinion has no merit because she is a woman. The gauntlet has been thrown. The challenge accepted. The town of Darling is in for a shake-up!

I liked it! I’m sitting here in wee hours just finished reading The Irish Castle. I was really concerned about Connor and Elizabeth but realized she(Juliet)was working on Elizabeth’s character sans her husband. Since the book is about women I liked the way it went! There are tiny women who can throw big men for real you know! Tall ones too! Juliet’s love scenes are far better then a lot I have come across in intimate loving. I don’t find her crass as I have stopped reading others and sent books back at first scene I came across because it was revolting. Thanks for the stories!!

Great read

I bought all four books and couldn't put them down! Wonderful reads! However every month I'm getting disappointed because I keep hoping the 5th book will come out only to get my hopes down that it's pushed back another, and another and another. I know good books take time and I can't wait to read it but it's a little bit annoying. Hope it's a fantastic book as I see it was pushed back another month...Otherwise the stories are thrilling and really capture your attention. So I can't wait to read more by this author!

Irish series

These each were some if the best books I've read in a while. I loved the stories each presented. The love story of Connor and Elizabeth permeated every book. These will be books I come back to, to read again. I loved going to Ireland and seeing where some of my family had been born years ago and these books brought it all back again.
Thank you for sharing your characters with all of us. Please keep writing! I've pre ordered Book 5 ! Can't wait!

Satisfied Reader

I have enjoyed reading the first 3 books in this series and plan to read the 4th. The characters are well drawn and easy to care about. The plots are interesting and keep the reader pushing on to see what happens next. I read to escape the craziness of our current world's realities. Ms. Gauvin's fictional world is a pleasurable one that provides exactly what I'm looking for when I pick up a book.

After a 5 yr lapes, the continuation is good.

The continuation is a very good continuation. It did not 5 years laugh for me, but from what I read. The offer had come back to the store line. 5 years later to continue it and it proved a very fast and very interesting read. Because it was a good story. I dropped up from 5 stars before for one major reason. That is, the author is do not disagree with very strong. Female leads and in fact, I normally like reading strong female leaves. And this is one of those such books. However, I also strive to have balance. And yes, most people think sexist means I'm prejudiced against women. Or you know you're a sexist that's in favor of women. And this book is exactly the opposite. It reminds me of Michael Douglas movie called. What was the name of that?
Folded closure.
Which were the case where a woman was aggressively sexual? I'm blamed him for sexual advances to disguise the real motive of Hey, she did something wrong and it's gonna cost a company of fortune that was that particular movie. This one sgoes, a case where the woman is more sexist. This story is all about dominant women. And while that is not in and of itself bad, it lends itself to being too far on the other side while I agree, we need to have equality and effective and I also agree that the current trend of I don't know what they call it male pro alms and what have you I mean. If you're bored male and you decide that you really wanted to be female. Do we able to do everything that a female does? Is not necessarily correct.
And this particular sthree, it needs to have a little bit more balance in male and female role. In her previous 3 books, the male figures are. Maybe not Central, but they're strong characters and this one. She showed it totally opposite. And while she has very strong points in it. My question is, if you're obviously sexist on a female side. Does that not drive a wedge between everything? Where do we stop going from male female male male female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female female male male and get be human peryou're. The guyear ago there was female dominated societies that led to a period after the Roman Empire, a male-dominated. The 30th we're going back to a female dominated society. And that's gonna sit there and turn around and bite you in the butt. To turn around and go back to a male-dominated society again. The pendulum swings back-and-forth. We need to penalyze, stop swinging and steady up in the middle.

Good story but so unrealistic

It's a mystery story mainly, not a romance. That arc finished already with the earlier books. The plot is entertaining. I like the more philosophical and mystical Elizabeth but it's still hard to square that new character with the original hard core vicious lawyer who seemed so cold for most of the books. Billionaire and "Indiana jones" type Connor still has strange demons he's unable to get past despite his successful businesses. The most annoying part about the book is the constant ridiculous successes of Elizabeth. Star lawyer then star photographer plus karate expert plus amazing dancer.plus billionaire boyfriend who adores her and he who is also royalty. Everything she touches turns gold. One blog post and 10000 views a day later. One video and 50 million views within a week. Why put in such exaggerations? They only detract from the realism of the story. It also drives me nuts the Connor calls his wife by her last name as if he's talking to his buds. It's not in the least romantic or loving. It's just bizarre. I'll read the next book as a new mystery has been set up and knowing to ignore the "perfect unrealistic fantasy" elements.

A fun novel

So, I've just completed the fourth in the Irish Heart series, and it's great! Elizabeth's adventures, and misadventures are ongoing, a wonderful new character is introduced, and another mysterious intrigue begins when Elizabeth returns from San Francisco, having settled her Aunt Mags' estate. Communication issues with Conner, negative articles in the local newspaper, and critical phone calls from the local society matrons are adding to Elizabeth's troubles! But when a very real threat to Elizabeth and her loved ones happens, the sparks fly!!
Don't miss this story!! You'll love it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I have already re-read the cottage. Since I am very sentimental, I'm afraid I cried through most of the Paris book & of course parts of the others. Amazing romance although I'm not used to the details but went with it as showed their great passion! I love a good mystery

& this certainly was that & more! Loved the characters & laughed many times at their antics! Very well written & draws you in so you can't stop reading. One night I got 2 &1\2 hours sleep! Many twists & turns! Worth it!! Thank you for your creativity & imagination.

Is There Ever Really Truth and Perfection?

Its been five glorious years of marriage for Elizabeth and Connor. Lillian is now a Rock Star and Where has found her true calling as his Manager. But can we ever be fully complete? Fully happy. Returning to Castle Cannon and Single opens up a world if questions and a plethora of possibilities. As new and old characters complete the cast, Elizabeth finds herself still in search of her truth.

MOAR DRAMA. I’m still reading just to see how bonkers things can get.

And more errors in comma usage, sentence and paragraph structure, etc. Several issues with homophones: waived/waved and taut/taught, for just a couple examples. Author, for the love of your deity of choice, please employ a copy editor. Spell-check won’t cut it. There’s a truly massive difference in quality between the first two books and the next two.

I don't care I liked it

These books are pretty much all the same, but who cares? Strong female lead follows her heart, finds long lost relative, let's rich handsome male lead be vulnerable, fights off intruder/kidnapper/would-be-murderer, eats and drinks what she wants, swims with dolphin, reinforces female friendships, repeat. They're quick and fun and have left this reader entertained.

Just finished reading The Irish Castle: Keeping Elizabeth. I've read the first 4 books in the series.
I really enjoyed the first two books, book 3 was not as good but enjoyable. This book really disappointed me. I enjoyed the addition of Camille and Audre but the rest of the characters seemed to just be there. Connor was hardly mentioned except for his leaving. Starting book 5 I'm hoping it's more enjoyable.

Could not put down the series…

I actually read all four books back to back. The writing caught me from the start. After the first few pages I knew I would read the whole series. Loved them. Hope the next book is only the next installment, and that more will come. Thank you for writing these Juliet and bringing such wonderful characters to life. Lives that one soon finds one invested in.

Lovely read

In this 4th book in the series, I found myself again lost in the story line. There is something for everyone: love, intrigue, mystery. The writing lends itself to vivid imagery and has me longing for an Irish adventure of my own. Looking forward to the next book in the series! Thank you to the author Juliet Gauvin .

Lovely!

The first book will always be my favorite, but this one, just as wonderful! Filled with the charming folks of Dingle, Elizabeth, Conner, their best friends Kilian and Audre, find themselves in a dire situation involving Elizabeth’s “Great-Aunt” Camille. More surprises come to them, but don’t want to be a spoiler, so read the book!

It’s sad to think this is the final book of the series. It’s a wonderful series and each book has a great story that leaves you wanting more. Elizabeth Lara has felt she loss her voice, a moon circle with friends helped her find her way. Please consider this book and the series for a great read

Enjoyed all this series, but this one a bit story lacking. It was an okay read, easy going, and easy to put down and pick up.
Story was a bit, ‘really?’. And a bit dull, in my opinion. But won’t loose heart, will try another 😊

The story continues...

As much as this series is completely unrealistic, I love the characters and, once again, the Irish setting. The story picks up 5 years after the last book, and takes right off into Elizabeth’s story. Can’t wait to read the next one!

I liked the whole series. It’s just a nice easy read to get list in considering what’s going on in the world. I liked this last book more because it emphasizes the strong independent women and how they can stand up for themselves.

Intrigue, mystery, death, adventure

Different in tone from the original trilogy with less of the bedroom antics and more character development and interpersonal interactions.

Not sorry to have purchased these e-books after all.
