Keri's Alien-Capture To-Do List Survive the Lizards Escape Said Lizards Thrive on a New Planet Captain Keri Hampton is stuck on number three of her list. Her human crew has moved into nice digs on Obos. But they need jobs. They need rights. They need a freaking purpose, which might just be assisting with a planetary girl power movement. Brhex, the leader and most eligible bachelor of their host nation, seems indifferent to the humans, but he can't ignore the way his hormones surge to a boil whenever he's around Keri. Keri admits she goes for the ruthless type. And, okay, sexy, huge, buff, with silver and gold skin. She's even impressed with his horns and claws. But his one big flaw? He's stuck on the fact that she's not Obosian. If he can't get it through his big alien brain that Keri is an asset in his life, then she'll take said assets and go--well, maybe not home, but somewhere on Obos where being an awesome human woman is not a problem.
The worst job Sabine ever had was at a special place located in retail hell. Every shift was life in slow motion.
It was better to work in restaurants and bars and hospitals. Military service was an improvement, including the unpaid job as a military spouse. Eventually, she began to write. She wrote about hospitals and research and veterans. Finally, in 2008, she published her first novel. And then another.
Now she's back with the new Obosian Warriors series. Her work celebrates a simple fact. There's nothing like the friction and attraction between men and women to spice up life. Or fiction.
When not reading or writing, Sabine enjoys her family, live music, abstract needlepoint, and the rare DIY home project.
Brhex is the head of his plants. Keri is the head of the humans, and his dated mate. How could she be,she was just a human. He looked down on her. She was aware. He tried to stay away from her, but that was impossible. They had a one night stand, then he tried to have her snuck out of the his house. Will love win or will be be stubborn and insist e needs a mate of his own kind?.
I'm liking this series. Great character building and world building. Usually one is lacking but I think this author nails both pretty well. I guess I would just wish for a little more "meat". More dialog between the mains and also a bit more intrigue, angst. Overall, a good series I will continue to keep up with.
The survivors of the CPU ship are now on Brhex's planet. Keri is still commander and she is trying to work with the people of the planet. There is a lot of action, a stubborn male and female, and steam! The overall story is an HEA, but there is a cliffhanger with the u settling story. There are some typos in the book.
Brhex and Keri story has added so much to this series. They are a truly awesome couple and it be nice that both couples will be in the next book of this series.
They are on the planet trying to fit in with the people But Brhex and the earth captain is mates but he's fitting it. A great follow up book in this series.
The series is great and I can't wait for next book. The characters are likeable and plot is interesting. Strong heroines and alpha males can't get enough...
The second book in the series continues on from the first, so go read that one first if you haven’t already!
Brhex is the leader of his world, oldest son in a powerful family, and dedicated to keeping both safe. Which is why he is not entirely trusting of the humans who have made their home on his planet. Keri was the captain of an earth ship that was blown up and the crew taken prisoner. Her military life had been less than stellar, the whole crew were people who had stood up for the right thing and been punished for it. As the leader of the humans, and their ambassador, she frequently butts heads with Brhex and the Obosian council. She’s determined to make sure the humans get a fair shake in their adoptive world. And though she finds Brhex attractive, and she’s pretty sure the interest is returned, neither are sure it’s the best move...
Another quick sci fi romance novel, set in a world of horned, silver and gold aliens. The romance is hot, the background story ongoing, so keep reading for best enjoyment! Recommended for those who enjoy sci-fi alien romance.
Commander Keri and her crew landed on the planet Obos. They were not received very well. The ruling family decided to isolate them from the rest of the citizens. They formed " the human embassy ". And they were restricted there alone. Of course, that didn't happen. Keri and her crew started a clothing factory for women fashions. And it worked! Keri met with farmers for their byproducts to make clothes. All in all, a success! But one male is not happy with the influence that the humans is having, Brhex. And he is of the ruling family on this planet. Plus, he's attracted to Keri but he has to mate with a purebred. Or so he thought! After a conversation with his father, his eyes are opened. But has he ruined the relationship between him and Keri? Read the book and find out. This is for adult reading.
Keri and Brhex are so hilarious together. They tickled my funny bone more than Grace and Zrhad. This family of aliens are going to be a trip to read and learn about. Really good story lines and characters.
A good read. Not as strong as the first but a good follow up.the ending was the part that lost the final star. The book built on tensions and an enemy all the way through, and ended with little drama.
What an awesome book! I've totally loved it, I'm relatively new to this author, but after this book I will definitely be looking for new books from her. The plot was was so well written that you could picture yourself as any of the characters .
This is well written with great characters! There is a plot and steamy scenes. However what I love is the strong female characters. This is pro women and bringing enlightenment to a planet that is advanced in other areas except women. I can't wait for the next book!!!
You might be thinking, ‘wow is this just a book where humans fall in love with silvery aliens’ (and you’re not wrong), but it’s also a book where a group of women bring first-wave feminism to an alien planet through the power of fashion and empowering other women. And that’s a fun idea.
Give me more stories where humans work to give their fellow female alien allies more autonomy in their society through grassroots economic development. And also, the guys who are their galactic feminist allies are also there.
was so looking forward to book two of this series but had to quit reading at about twenty percent in. I read fiction to be entertained and have a respite from the stresses of life but this book just brought home all the strife and political dissension going on in our world with references to this period in time for no other reason than to express this authors personal political beliefs and whether I agree or not, a fictional entertainment media is not the appropriate audience. such a shame because I so wanted to continue with this inventive story line. enjoyed the first book in the series and sad this one was spoiled
This was a good book. I would have enjoyed it more if the author had left her personal feelings on today's politics out of the story -it had no bearing on the story line. Fiction, especially sci-fi romance, is not the place for agendas; we read to escape and be entertained, not lectured or admonished. So even though the story itself was worth more stars, due to the insertion of political views it only gets 3. Hopefully book three does not have the same issue.
I have been on a role and discovering great new Space Romance Books. This series is addictive. I love how strong the women are. And I love the humor and dialogue. However, I wish the stories were longer. I wish to stay in this world with these characters a lot longer.
Okay, so I could have done without all the reporting on an intergalactic fashion week....seriously, who cares. And of course, though I appreciate the fine cover, he isn’t representative of the leading man. Maybe I just didn’t like Keri as much as Gloria, who knows.
Although I didn't think this was as good as the first, it was still a very well written book. In my opinion, the characters weren't as likeable. I still look forward to reading more in this world.
