How to Stop Being Judgmental and Needy: Stop Judging Others

Rate this book
Although having good judgment can be beneficial, having a judgmental personality is generally a negative characteristic. Oftentimes, neediness is at the root of a judgmental personality. Being needy can cause us to act awkwardly in social situations. As a result, we may often get rejected. This rejection can then cause us to become bitter and judgmental towards others. Being judgmental can cause you • Miss out on good friendships and relationships because you were overly concerned with petty mistakes a person might have made • Make false assumptions about important decisions • Have unrealistic expectations • Attract negative situations into your life because you are expecting negative things to happen The idea is to achieve a good balance between being judgmental and not having any good judgment at all. By consistently following certain principles and strategies, it is very possible to have good judgment without being judgmental. This book will cover the most common problems that cause a person to be judgmental and how to fix them. It will • Warning signs that indicate you are judgmental • How to stop jumping to conclusions • How to trust • How to stop being selfish • How to stop being needy • How to stop being manipulative

Very helpful understanding why we are judgemental!

It's like someone splashing ice water in your face unexpectedly... But it does wake one up to the subtle games we play within ourselves to justify a critical attitude towards our fellow humans.
This book is a bit simplistic but in order to stay focused on the main issue, judgementalness vs. neediness, I believe the simplistic approach was well serves the audience.
Thank you David Hunter!
