Love the music of the skids and Richard is still a consummate showman and front man but I have no idea what this book was about. Can someone enlighten me ?

I am loathe to use the term Tartan Noir but this is more than a crime novel set in Edinburgh. It is about one man, fair to say not your average man, trying to make sense of life. Not liking the shallowness that seems to be everywhere. In this trip, sex and violence is to the fore. Most definitely not lightweight writing. Clever writing where seemingly peripheral characters in Part Two, each get their own story told in Part Three. The book title, Into the Void, is most apt. An engrossing read that I highly recommend.
