Aaaaah another one that had a good rating but it did not have the same effect on md
The book was ok but for me it was not great and for sure i would not give it 3 stars let alone 4 or 5 for reall, i'm not trying to be hard but i've read better books and this was no near to them.
ML:
- A ladies man he was he didn't do relationship yes but he treated the woman well and well he was single he had his fun, just like woman can so i did not hold it against him.also he was a good guy like for real he cared about people and did his job in order to help others not just for money.
He had one scene when an ex kissed him but he was surprised and not for one sec he thought she was going to act like that so i can say i did not hate him at all.

- she was in between an ok character but had her bitchy moments, she accused the Ml of lying and cheating when she saw the other women kissing him, he tried to explain it to her but she just refused to belive him and started to act like a bitch.
Look i got her point that they were in the office and if someone saw them they will pity her, that she did not like i would have agree it if the Ml have done anything wrong on purpose but it was not, and it deos happen that some or alot of woman throw themselves on guys and kiss them even if they are not ok with it, so i found it annoying that she insisted that he was guilty, even her coworkers believed in him just because he have réputation deos not make him a cheater she just judged him.
Plus she acted like they were into a real relationship were they have feelings for each other and got mad after just one night of them sleeping together, you say it's just a deal but you do not act like it's just like that.
Also i hated how many times at first had the Ml needed to tell her that she is attractive, she was all about i'm not your type you can't get turned, oooo come on!!! You may not be his usual type but deos that mean your not pretty? Why are you letting your self down , why insisting that it's strange it was annoying how many times she said that.
They had their HEA but i felt disconnected and so the end

This is a well written book with strong characters in Nate and Hallie. It's a fake marriage that quickly turns into the real deal. The author does a great job developing the relationship,giving them a hot chemistry and steamy romance with detailed scenes and an entertaining story line. It moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading. Highly recommend this book / series.

This is book 2 in a 4 book series. We meet Hallie, and Nate. Nate owns a pharmaceutical company, Hallie his assistant. Nate wants to expand his company, but his lawyer suggests that he should clean up his image, and Nate decides that a "fake marriage" will work. Hallie agrees to the arrangement in exchange for her house being fixed up after a fire.
But can they keep this a working relationship??

I love the way Holly James writes, the story flows quickly, you feel the emotions from both sides and keeps your interest from beginning to end... I can't wait to start book 3

This book was so much fun! Their slow slide into love was beautiful and perfect. I loved how vulnerable both Hallie and Nate were, neither wanting to believe that their fake marriage had become real for the other person like it had for them. I was very satisfied with the happily ever after ending and loved having glimpses and Gabe and Samantha from the first book in the series.

Wow..... This book begins hot, steamy and suspenseful from the get go. The passion and sexual tension between Hallie and Nate is captivating. The storyline is well written and brings a little bit of normalcy that readers can relate to. I could not put it down other than to go to sleep. I immediately began reading again the following morning. Thank you.

Nate is looking to take his pharmaceutical company public, however, his lawyer explains that his playboy reputation may hinder his chance of gaining investments. He might like the ladies, however, he doesn't;t have a revolving door of them. But it looks from the outside that he does. He needs to change this perception of himself with Dave suggesting a marriage. Needing to attend a fundraiser to raise his profile he asks his assistant Hallie to attend with him to help with the information etc.

Hallie's house burnt down recently and is dealing with the insurance company regarding a rebuild but she wants to make changes to accommodate her parents (mom has MS and dad is getting old). Unsure how she is going to fund the extra cost she focuses on her job. Working as Nate's assistant she likes her job although she is attracted to her boss. Attending an event with him she is surprised when he introduces her to someone as his wife. With Nate coming clean to her about needing to clean up his image and asking her to be his fake wife. In exchange, he'll fund her rebuild - a crazy idea but somehow she says yes.

Seeing Hallie in that green dress cemented Nate's growing attraction to his assistant. Unlike the women he usually dates, she is natural, curvy and truly captivating. But he has to keep this fake marriage professional and convince investors that he is a changed man. The pull between them ignites and their fake marriage feels like a real relationship - but it's just an agreement, right?

Dave Collier, the company lawyer, was telling Nate Sloane that he needed to fix his womanizer image or the investors would not take him seriously as he tried to take his pharmaceutical company public. If the company got sued because of his wild behavior, stock values could be impacted. Investors would not risk their money if they couldn’t have confidence in the man running things. Perception is everything and, whether true or not, they didn’t want to think he did not respect women. His lawyer said the best way to convince people was for him to get married! People needed to think of Nate Sloane as the man who created cutting edge medication for MS or Parkinson’s disease, not as the man who bedded tons of different women. Their first step was to attend a fundraiser and win over Janine Madison. If she invested in his pharmaceutical company, others would follow and do the same.

Nate called in Hallie Thorne, his assistant, to research the fundraiser and Janine Madison. He also asked her to attend with him since this concerned potential investment. It was on a Saturday, so she was happy to go. Her home had been damaged in a fire and she needed all the money she could earn to start rebuilding.

At the event, where Nate would never mix business and pleasure, Janine had no such reservations. She openly flirted with him and told him she had a hotel room they could go to and discuss his prospectus. He had been glancing around for Hallie to give himself a way to hold Janine off. But when Hallie walked in the room, he was speechless at how lovely she looked in her evening gown. As she walked up, he put his arm around her waist and introduced Hallie as his wife! Hallie plays along, then Nate asks her if she would continue to pretend to be his wife until the IPO is over. Nate offers to compensate her and she agrees in return for paying to rebuild her fire-damaged home. But as their attraction deepens and “rules” get broken, things begin to get more complicated. Will they continue to follow their original agreement? Or will they need to renegotiate this contract?

This was a great story, cute and well-paced story line, personable and likeable characters! It was fun to read. Grab your copy and see if they find their HEA.

This book is amazing! The characters are great and the plot is wonderful and heartfelt. Hallie is Nate's assistant. When he plans to take his pharmacutical company public, his lawyer tells him he needs to change his playboy ways. Nate doesn't realize how bad his reputation is until he is at a fundraiser and the one investor he is trying to get is hitting on him. He doesn't want to mix business with pleasure so when Hallie walks in, he introduces her as his wife. It gets him out of the sticky situation but as he thinks about it, he thinks this might be what he needs to help his image and therefore his company. He asks her to be his fake wife just until the company goes public. Since she is trying to rebuild her house after a fire and wants to add amenities that will help her aging father and mother with MS, she agrees when he offers to pay for the rebuild of her house. Things start off really well and the presentations to investors are going well. But after a few weeks, their relationship hits one bump after another. First, they break their own rule and become intimate. Then an ex of his tries to seduce him in his office. Then she overhears part of a conversation that chases her away and leads to a misunderstanding that keeps them apart. When his brother Gabe talks some sense into him, he realizes his true feelings for Hallie. In the end, they actually talk and resolve the misunderstanding and then can move forward towards their true and real happily ever after.

Nate Sloane is taking his pharmaceutical company public by issuing an IPO but there's a problem. As his lawyer has told him, none of the investors will come through if they consider his playboy behavior a measure of the stability of the company. Their perception of him as a married man who has created innovative medications could go far to allay their fears that he's not settled nor serious. At the fundraiser, he needs to bring Janine Madison over to his side as an investor but it gets out of hand. She's interested in funding his company and she's also interested in spending the night in her hotel room. Nate had asked his assistant, Hallie Thorne, to attend the fundraiser with him and now was the time he really needed her. Glancing around the room, he spotted her and was captivated by her beauty. Pulling her to his side, he introduced her to Janine as his wife. Hallie didn't miss a beat by continuing the façade and Nate asks her to continue as his wife until the offering has been concluded. Contracts, rules, limits, expectations are to be followed, but it's just a matter of time before the lines blur and true feelings surface. Is this only a contract or will they add a codicil to change their future! Wonderfully written with charming characters, this is a book you don't want to miss!

Nate was trying to fix his image of a womanizer because no one was taking him serious in his business. He had an important fundraiser to go to so he had his assistant Hallie do some research on everyone that would be there for him. He also told her that he would need for her to join him at the function. Hallie was already nervous about going to it with her boss however nothing prepared her for him introducing her as his wife. Stunned she plays along and when Nate gets her own he explains that he needs to look settled in order to be taken seriously in his work and to get what they need. She agrees because he offers to help her with her home issue. Hallie home burned down and she wanted to rebuild it so her parents could live with her. However the insurance is fighting some of the extra things she asking for so Nate arrangement works perfect for her. What neither of them counted on was how intense their attraction would be and how quickly things would get real between them. Can they manage to stay together through it all?

This is a great story once I started I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

What an enjoyable book this was and how something so simple as having a fake marriage to fix his image and her house could change there lives forever. Nate Sloane is the founder and CEO of Sloane Labs a pharmaceutical company and does very well for himself and others but he needs investors to push is company to the next level but is friend and Lawyer Dave said that his bad reputation as a womanizer was holding people back and if he had a fake wife would make him look like he was settling down. Now with this plan in mind he just needs a wife and he straight away thinks of Hallie his assistant that he has had the hots for her since he hired her but never acted on it because he doesn’t date his employees and everyone knows this but he asks her anyway and she agrees because she likes him a lot and would love for this to go further and because he is helping her rebuild her house that was half destroyed by fire. How does it all turn out between them, and how does jealous ex try and break them up, and do the fall in love with each other and get there HEA, read this amazing book to find out.

Nate is the founder and owner of a pharmaceutical company and also a womanizer. The company needs to grow and to go public so for that he needs investors. But Nate's lawyer thinks that his reputation as a ladies' man will be scaring the future investors and that he needs to settle down and changes his way. Hallie, his assistant is very different from his regular woman. She is a good worker. She is not superficial and is also physically different. There is a desire between them right away. She accepts to become his fake wife to help him get in deeper in the business as part of a deal between them. But, because there is a but, they didn't envision what will be happening along that venture.
As always, Holly Jaymes' writing is a treat to me, a great pleasure, a gift, a wonderful surprise. Thank you Holly !!!!

Holly Jaymes has outdone herself again with Book 2 of the Sloane Brothers. It is a well written, page turning, entertaining book about Nate Sloane and his assistant, His reputation is a playboy. He's planning to take his pharmacutical company public, but his advisors tell him he needs to tame his reputation, maybe even get married. He proposes to his assistant, Hallie, a fake marriage during the dog and pony shows to sell his company to the stock investors. He will rebuild her home that was demolished by fire and add the extras to make life easier for her parents, especially her Mom who has MS when they move in with her. This book is all about the fake marriage, sex, balancing home and work, emotions, family and unexpected love. Enjoy reading and find out whether love conquers all.

A lovely fake marriage romance tale

Hallie, assistant at a pharmaceutical company, works for Nate, founder/CEO of Sloane Labs, and decides to take a pretty big risk on a deal he offers her. As the story progresses the deal is finalized, fantasy and reality blend, and a failure to communicate could derail everything. Holly Jaymes’ Her Hero Boss is a lovely fake marriage romance tale, telling the story of Nate Sloane, brother to Gabe from Hating My hero. Now if only she could decide that Will and Mitch need their own stories to satisfy my hunger for more.

Absolutely fantastic! This is a compelling, thought-provoking, passionate read! The storyline is well though-out, funny, witty, and emotionally deep with amazing family interactions. The characters are amazing and perfect together; their chemistry is potent and off the charts; the sex scenes are steamy. There are ups and downs, back and forth between the characters and this book will captivate you from page one and hold your interest until the very end. A great read you will not be disappointed in and comes highly recommended.

Loving this series of the Sloane family. As we see Nate journey to repair his reputation as a womanizer so that he can do what he has been doing all along, but under the radar.

Hallie is loving and caring, struggling to find a way to help her parents, takes Nate up on his offer to help. But even though she see the real him, she is blinded by what she thinks she knows about Nate.

This story you not only get to see Gabe and Sam again, but all the Sloane family. Their relationship with one another is fun and loving.

This was a great book that I couldn't put down.

Oh my god. This was such a fun read. I've always loved Holly's humor. This line, when she is talking about a guy's arms, was hilarious. "he must work out or maybe they were strong from his frequently being in a missionary position over a woman".
The story is about Nate and Hallie. He has to improve his image of a playboy, so his lawyer comes up with the idea that he should get marry.
Hallie on the other hand works for him and has always liked him.

This is the second brother in the Sloane family we're reading about. Nate is the owner of a huge pharmaceutical company on the verge of going public, but his reputation is slightly tarnished and he asks his assistant, Hallie to be his fake wife. The chemistry between them is sizzling and even though it was fake to start it was really nothing such.
I really liked the characters and the relationships between all the family members. This story is well-written and wonderfully entertaining. There are no cliffhangers.

This was certainly a new angle to approach trying to get around your bad boy repetition. Have your Assistant fake marry you. Nate tried to tell himself that he was not a bad person, and maybe he wasn't but was he totally up front with the stockholders? Neither he nor Halley could come clean with each other. Holly James has written another great book. This one is a fun crazy romance. A playboy gets an unexpected fake wife while at a party. He is trying to curb his reputation. What ends up happening is a fake relationship with complications mixed in. The characters are amazing. The story is amazing and it gets wrapped up nicely.

I have become quite a fan of books written by Ms. Jaymes. In this book, a story about a billionaire, his curvy assistant and fake relationship, there was so much romance and steam that I had to keep turning pages and read it in one short sitting. I truly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes steamy, but romantic read. I am looking forward to my next read by Ms. Jaymes

The chemistry is sizzling and even though it was fake to start it they really hit it off. I loved characters. I enjoyed the story of Hallie and Nate. It has a good mix of love, misscomunications, fear, stubborness, joy and humor. I recommend reading this book, and although I did not feel I was missing out on anything, I did find that there is another book before this one about Nates brother Brad, so I will be looking for that one and looking to see if books about his other two brothers will be written as well.

I could not put this book down! Hallie is Nate's assistant. Nate is a womanizer, founder and CEO of a pharmaceutical company. They have a deep-seated drive to develop products to help disease that are low cost or free. There are some misunderstandings and tear-jerk moments but it has a nice, smooth pace and is suitably emotional, fast-paced and action packed! Terrific read!
