One night. One last enemy. One chance to stop him forever. It’s all come down to this.More than two years after Sully took desperate measures to escape his enemies, he finds himself headed for an inevitable showdown with the most dangerous of them. Years of murder and deceit are catching up to Lowell, and the ghosts of those he killed are not about to rest until they’ve watched him fall. But as Sully and Dez close in, Lowell makes one last desperate strike—one that threatens everything the brothers and their loved ones hold dear. With Sully’s world balanced on a knife’s edge, he is left to question whether he has the strength to endure this final test—or if he must rely on the darkest part of his soul to defeat Lowell and bring down the Circle. In so doing, he might save the people he loves. Or he might prove to be the one deadly enemy they never saw coming.Spirit Caller wraps up The Sullivan Gray Series, which takes mystery and suspense and gives it a ghostly twist. If you like Odd Thomas and the brother dynamic of the Winchester brothers, it's time to meet Sully and Dez.
Raised on a farm on the Canadian Prairies, words quickly became my means of exploring the world around me and giving life to the one created in my imagination. Fascinated by ghost stories and crime fiction, I have been writing both for well over two decades, drawing on more than fifteen years in a career in a criminal justice setting. When not putting Scrivener through its paces, I enjoy reading, portrait drawing, travel and spending time with family and friends.
It’s finally finished!! This is such a great series and this ending was a long time in coming. I really enjoyed it!
Sully and Dez are in the midst of bringing down the Circle, in particular their Uncle Lowell. While they usually have a mystery to solve during previous novels, there is zero mystery in this one. It is a thrilling race to save people and make sure people are punished accordingly.
Lots of former characters make an appearance. Lots of loose ends are tied up. Many people face justice in different forms. Sully learns a great deal about himself and his powers. Sully and Dez are given the chance to heal the wounds they have suffered over the last six books.
I really enjoyed this one and the entire series. I love the brothers’ bond. I love the supporting characters. I love the paranormal elements. There is a second series of books and I’ve already downloaded the first one. These are characters I’m willing to follow into dark spooky places!
What an amazing ending! I love every bit of this book. Yes, even the parts when was biting my nails and my heart was pumping so hard that I could hear it. And at the end, when Sully was telling the others about Fynn and Aiden crossing over I was in tears.
The book began with a bang and from then on, it never stopped. I had to force myself to stop, but I really, really didn't want to. One of the things I love how the most is that it was very clear that nothing that happened here could ever have happened before. In the previous books, we saw Sully grow stronger, we saw him construct this web of friends and allies that come forward here, to help him when he needed it. Because he couldn't have done it alone, he couldn't have done it without all that love.
Sully's fight with Thadeus was something epic, the facedown with Lowell, the fact that Dez and Mara were also there to face them both, Lowell and his wife, gave a real closure to their grief.
I think the part that I liked the most was this: Harry stepped into view, inclining his head toward Sully. “It’s the prophesy. You’re the second son. It doesn’t end this way.” “How does it end?” Harry smiled. “Any way you want it to.”
Because is such a hopeful, bright part. An end and a beginning.
I enjoyed a lot Lachlan and Paul's part here; I always liked Paul, although Lachlan? He's an acquired taste :P
And I love the way in which Sully dealt with Lowell, and that the judge Preston is attached to him now.
And that Christmas dinner? It was such a wonderful moment, with all of them together, even the ones who didn't show up in this book, as Emily and Bulldog.
Yes, I love everything in it. It was a fantastic journey, and I have loved every second of it. This is a very worthy conclusion for a fascinating series that captivated me from the very first book. And the hint that there is more to come gives me hope that we'll enjoy more of Sully and Dez :)
Please, read all the books in this series, lose yourself in this captivating Universe created by the author, you won't regret it.
EDIT: Or, if you are like me, and enjoy audiobooks, listen to all of them. I just adore John Downey's narration, he adds so much emotion, so much feeling to the story. His narration is a real treat. ♥
Loved the ending to this series. We got to see a lot of the Hangman and learned more about his past and agenda. Great conclusion to this awesome story arc and I loved all the brotherly moments. Both Sully and Dez have come a long way from where they started in Book 1. I really liked the character development as well as the tense and action packed plot. The pace was great as well. Excited to read more about this Brother Duo in the next series.
WOW! This has been an incredibly high caliber series so going into the last book you know expectations are high and this book seriously knocked it out of the park. A very satisfying conclusion to the series that leaves open the possibility for more stories featuring Dez, Sully, and their wonderful friends and family. After all we've been through with them I'm not ready to say goodbye yet.
This book does a masterful job of weaving together locations, people, and events from previous books with new revelations and complications. The stakes are higher, the danger is more intense, everything is more personal - and that's saying a lot with how intense this series has been from the beginning.
This is book 7 in a series, and the final book in the series, so it is hard to say anything without spoilers. Each of these books has a fully contained story arc, but this book also draws together the overarching plot that has been threading through the previous books. If you haven't read the series yet, don't start with book 1, start with the book set - once you start you won't want to put these books down! Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys crime thrillers with a paranormal twist and strong character development.
This is the last in the series. Hand me a tissue.*
Dez, Sully and their team are getting closer to ending Lowell for good. Though Sully isn’t quite decided on whether he’s going to let him go to jail or finish him permanently.
The first thing they need to do is save Kayleigh from his and Kindra’s clutches, knowing what he can do to children is causes wretched anxiety to them all. First Sully must find Harry, as he can’t get hold of his Father and Aiden to find out where they’ve taken her, though what Sully is shown brings him to his knees – and allows the darkness to take over.
Sully’s dark former self doesn’t have the same family values as Sully and he needs the help of Flynn and Aiden’s spirits to bring him back to the fore before some real damage is done. He also enlists the help of spirits to heal him at the end – read the book to find out what happened!!
I have loved this series of books with the crime solving and the spiritual aspect and will miss them like friends………….no, wait, I don’t have to! *H.P. is starting a spin-off series with my Favourites in………………put away those tissues!
Note to self: Use the time to catch up on my huge TBR list before it comes out.
So you may guess I would thoroughly recommend this book and it’s previous tomes.
A wonderful, suspenseful, epic book, the finale to one of my favorite series Sullivan Gray sees dead people -- but only those whose death was caused at the hands of other people. This installment has the world crashing down in Sully. He's been in hiding for 2 years to protect his life. Even though most people think he's dead, the ghosts follow him everywhere and give him their wordless clues about who killed them. All the mysteries he's been working on in the prior books come to a head. When he finally reveals that he's alive and names the egomaniac killer, he -- and his mother, brother, and his whole family -- become targets. He races to save them all, and to find evidence to convict the killer in the real world This book has great chase scenes, threats from a mad man, and an ominous blizzard to build suspense --you just can't see the killer coming, and it's hard to get the traction to get away. Can the silent dead break through from their realm to help end the killer's longtime spree? I love this series --every Sullivan Gray book is great, but this one is my favorite. However, I hate that this is the end of the series. (Crushing on Sully.) Read them all!
Ripsnorter. The seventh and final book in the Sullivan Gray paranormal series (although a new batch of stories with Sully and Dez is planned) comes with relentless pace and terrifying scene after terrifying scene. H.P. Bayne wraps up the issues she has so carefully developed over the course of the other six books, while also weaving in new challenges and horrors. That being said, there are incredibly moving scenes far more human than ghostly, as the Braddock/Gray family members support each other, are torn apart and come together. The second half in particular is as touching as it is breakneck in speed. A fabulous ending to an excellent series. I can’t wait to see what Bayne does next.
There are five rollercoasters in the world with the wildest rides. I think this Sullivan Gray series should be added to the list! Even after all the high highs, lowest of lows, and unexpected twists and turns, I want to go again. I have read too many murder mysteries and paranormal stories to count, and I would put this series at the top of my list of both genres. This book 7 wrapped things up nicely, even though people died that I cried over. There are no loose ends, and everything made sense. And I didn’t want to stop reading about Sully and Dez, so I have already downloaded the first book of the Braddock and Gray Case Files.
Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Sullivan has to leave his hideaway thanks to being found and almost killed again by his crazied family. Diz is worried of keeping everyone safe while they finally caught Lowell. Tracking down leads that will help is more dangerous then they was prepared for, can Sully make it out the other side still in one piece or will this be the ending no one wanted? Omg this was the best one so sad to see Sully go, but what a great ending.
This is the seventh and final book of ( The Sullivan Gray Book series )
This is how you end a great series from the first book to the latest I was hooked . This Author bought to life one of the most amazing paranormal series I have ever read . Sullivan Gray has become one my most memorable and beloved characters along with his awesome family and friends . I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who enjoys this type of genre and I'm looking forward too Sully and Desmond's continuing story .
I have read the whole series and also the trilogy that comes after. I thought they were great fun and I enjoyed the ghosts and the characters were very likeable. I got very very tired of the two main characters (brothers) debate...every other page was filled with "I am so sorry, it is all my fault. no, it was my fault! I love you bro you saved my life. no I love you more you are family" blah blah blah. I am not exaggerating every other page or so was filled with this! I got to where I could just skim those parts and get on with the story.
♾️/⭐️ The perfect finale to the perfect series, couldn’t have asked for more! The way Heather wraps up this amazing series is incredible. The series had me on the edge of my seat throughout and I couldn’t put it down, having me laughing and even crying at times. I love the way the stories link together but each still has its own individual plot. The twists and links back to previous books was so cleverly done. So glad I stumbled upon this series, wouldn’t be without it! Thank you Heather- highly recommend!
I Was Given this book as a ARC reader with No strings attached. I am writing this Review cause I always give honest reviews of books I read or Listen to. That said This was one intense book bringing just about all loose ends together. It did not come together easily or rapidly and was a page turner!! I highly recommend this book but to get the most out of it read the series in order. Love this author looking forward to the spinoff series this author is writing.
Wow what a beautiful ending to an epic paranormal series!
Absolutely riveting reading! This series just got better and better as the series moved book to book. Sully with his physic abilities and Desmond with his police skills made a great team besides being family. This series proved that blood doesn't always make you family and some family are just pure evil! Can't wait for the new series to begin!
Sullivan has to get Lowell and he and Dez are close to toppling the dominoes but Lowell will not go down easily. How that all happens is a good story and the fact that Sullivan does die and then manages to heal himself and save Dez is good too. The final outcome is a satisfying end to all the stories and sets them up to be the full time investigators. I will enjoy their stories knowing the main one here is finished.
All in all a very satisfying end to an excellent series.
WOW! Everything comes to a head in this book. Intense, action-packed, and full of danger. Sully has to come to terms with his darker side. The second-son prophecy has a massive twist. The ending is beautiful and heart-wrenching. Just a phenomenal finale to an amazing series. I loved every book so much that this series is going into my To Be Read Again list!
I love the Sullivan Gray series. A nail biter that you won't want to put down. Sullivan can see spirits of murdered people and he helps solve their murder so they can move on. This book has twists you won't see coming. I would highly recommend this book. I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.
Wow, I have read all the books in this series, I have laughed and cried with, and for the characters. Sully really pulled it off in this book with the help of a few friends. If you like the paranormal then I reckon you should give this series a go. It's definitely got the WOW factor.
I can not begin to explain how these books have made me feel.. my emotions were all over the place I cried I laughed oh did I get angry and said allot.. the beautiful moments that gave me goose bumps.. I’ve read allot of books in my life time none can compare to the Sullivan and dez journey.. thank you for bringing them into my world..
Just finished the final book in the Sullivan Gray series and it was edge of seat as to whether things would work out well or not. Excellent read the whole series. Highly recommended if you like some supernatural and family ties. Give them a go, I don't think you'll be disappointed. They are well written and characters believable.
Awesome ending to an awesome series. Not going to give any details, but if you’ve been following this story then this is a Must-read. HP Bayne has done an excellent job! Thanks for another great read!
Probably the best of this series, I really enjoyed this story. The characters are well written and so real! I really wish that there were more Sully and Dez stories. Well done!
I adored this series! It was one of the best that I have ever read. The characters the way everything just fits. Just totally amazing. I am onto the next series with these characters!!!! Thank you for making these many hours so enjoyable.
It’s bittersweet ending this series. Ms. Bayne wrapped everything up in neat little bows...after many unforeseen explosions, of course! I believe this may be one of those series I just might have to read again. It’s that good!
This series had me on the edge of my seat had me laughing and crying loved the fact that all the books linked together in one way or another cant wat to read the sully amd dez files next
Sully and Dez plunge even deeper into that Circles power base. The foes they seem to bring to justice get ever more desperate as the bothers gain even more proof of their crimes.cThe life of a child hangs in the balance.
I absolutely loved this series. The first book didn’t quite grab me but after that they just got better and better. I’ve read the last four books in two days. So excited to see there is a follow-up series.
Gutted the series has ended but can't wait to start the new series. I absolutely loved reading this book! So many moments where's there's laughter and excitement. Must read!
Wow! what a book, I was sat on the edge of my seat with my hand infront of my mouth, it's a brilliant story which had my heart pounding and even reduced me to tears at one point, this series is amazing and I'm in total awe of the author H.P.Bayne, and would like to say, Thank you for writing such a brilliant series.
