"An action-packed murder mystery, buoyantly written and suspenseful." "Williams vividly constructs a morally confounding world in which good and evil are messily intermixed"- Kirkus Reviews
"Skull is a polished, uneasy mystery featuring a sinister killer, a gritty and violent crime, and a gregarious pair of detectives."- Clarion Reviews.
Detectives Mitchell and Sandovan face the most intriguing homicide case of their careers. It begins innocently, with the arrest of a low-level larcenist. Georgie Jacobs is facing a lengthy stretch behind bars as a repeat offender. But Georgie has something to trade. He tells the detectives that he has knowledge of a crime scene so macabre that it gives him nightmares. The trail takes Mitchell and Sandovan to a ghastly dinner party gone wrong, where four corpses sit at unfinished plates of food with no signs of violence. A fifth person who had been at the table is mysteriously absent. All this takes place in a wealthy gated community, where the residents have secrets and the means to protect them. Mitchell’s girlfriend, advertising executive Mya Laing, is also drawn into the case in a provocative and enigmatic way. Together, Mitchell, Sandovan and Mya must use all the intelligence and resources they can muster to thwart the ruthless killer.

I found myself reading this on my Kindle app every chance I got. The characters were interesting and I looked forward to what was coming next. A few twists and turns that weren’t obvious like some books. I will read the next book.
I won this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway and the following is my honest review. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the characters, even the bad ones. This was a great crime story. It was paced really well. It comes with a sneak peak into the next book as well.
What a great twist at the end! You could almost predict part of the ending right away, but then towards the end it really unraveled in such a great way.
This book was great, really enjoyed the way the story was told, in a very smooth and easy to follow way. Intriguing since the beginning it will keep you going easily. This was a goodreads giveaways, sooo good to get good books loke this.
A ruthless killer on the loose as two detectives faces a major challenge in the career. Will they be able to solve the case before more horrifying incidences occur? A simple larcenist turns into something more as a deadly dinner part goes astray.
I got this book through a Goodreads giveaway. This book had a number of surprises which made me eager to read more. I liked the character of the investigator and would read other books by this author.
