'Kidnaping Casey' is Book 2 in the Zorn Warriors series.
Casey had been having problems. Six months earlier, her ex-boyfriend, the town's Police Chief, had cheated on her, leading to their break-up. A week ago, the S.O.B had her arrested and brought in to the station, where he tried to rape her. Today, he sent to deputies to her house to bring her in so that 'he could talk to her'. Rather than be assaulted again, Casey takes off into the forest, trying to outrun the cops, but the much larger men catch up to her in the woods. Just as they are trying to get handcuffs on her, a huge, growling man runs out of the trees and beats up the deputies, taking Casey with him as they escape one of the cops shooting at them. He is a huge man, with very long hair and muscles that won't stop... but he wasn't a human male!!
Argernon had come to Earth to explore the fascinating land. His planet was short on females, and after his brother, Ral, had bound himself to the human female, Ariel, the males of Zorn wanted the sexy, high-endurance human females. This expedition to Earth had been to study the planet and its defenses, as well to see if human females could be found for some of the Zorn warriors to take back with them as 'bound' (wives). Argernon had no such intention when he went hiking in the forest, as his life on Zorn with his three housekeepers was just fine, thank you, but when he rescues Casey from the deputies, he is taken with the small, soft female. Almost before he realizes it, he finds himself binding Casey to him as his. Their chemistry is electric, but Argernon kidnaps Casey from Earth, and even after he has him on his ship and they are far from Earth, is he telling Casey everything he should about himself and his culture before takes her back to his planet, Zorn?
I liked this book (but not as much as Book 1). I really couldn't stand all of the cursing that came out of Casey's mouth, but none from Argernon. Why do female writers insist on these foul-mouth heroines? I really didn't see why Argernon was attracted to Casey aside from the fact that she is a human female. Otherwise, she sounds like a dock-worker, and not a female one. I don't expect demure females in these books, but there should be a happy medium... it isn't in this book.
Otherwise, the story was pretty good, there is a little light BDSM, some ok sex. I am hoping the next book is better.
