Snapdragon and Bass, The book worm and the thrill seeker. The loner and the troublemaker. She's happier alone in her room reading a book. He lives for the thrill of adventure. It's an unlikely friendship but an accidental email led then to each other. Now their importance to one another cannot be denied. But what exactly are they to each other? How do they balance their online lives with their real lives? When they each meet people in real life that they share a connection with they feel conflicted. Both are scared to lose what they have. What if they could have it all?

Wipe Out is a must read for your summer. I loved meeting Jace and getting to know Lettie better in their original short story Riptide. I loved when the story moved to Ryder Bay and went full-length. I loved the duality of this book. One set of characters in two complete, separate relationships. The relationship between Snapdragon and Bass. Black words on a white screen. They discovered and fell in love with each other's souls. The instant chemistry between Jace and Lettie when he actually knocks her off her feet with his skateboard. Their stolen moments on screen and in real life each led to a closer bond. They understood each other despite their outward differences. They recognized their soulmate on every level. Except, of course, they didn't make the obvious connections until it was almost too late. Their love is so natural. Age doesn't matter. They were just lucky to meet young. Make no mistake, they are the real deal. This is forever.

As wonderful as Jace and Lettie's love story is, this story is so much more. It's an adventure. It's a coming of age story. Jace and Lettie are both troubled. They have been hurt by loss and a feeling of abandonment. The relationship struggles; parent-child, sister-sister, between friends and so-called friends are intense. To watch as they both try to navigate their healing and maturing is an emotional journey. Watching Lettie let go of her pain and fear enough to step out of the pages of a book and into the real world, to trust Jace and reach out to Sav had me in tears. Seeing Jace learn to control his impulses gave me hope. This was a book so full of feels. It just left me happy.

Jace and Lettie were my favorites of all the Ryder Bay couples. I liked them all, but these two were special. I also liked how all of the others were a constant presence in the story. It made it all seem more real. Then after what I thought was the perfect ending, Jordan Ford managed to one-up perfection. No epilogue this time. No! The promise of White Water! Hear me channeling Snapdragon (we are very similar) and my squeal.

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

After reading the novella Riptide and enjoying the previous books in this series I was really excited to see if book 4 would be just as good. I love how each book in this series is different, but there are still common elements and recurring characters throughout the series. It makes for an exciting series and I plan to start the epilogue novella right after this as I want to see how it all gets wrapped up.

Wipe Out tells the story of Jace and Lettie. Lettie we already met in earlier books as she's Savannah's younger sister. Jace moves to Rydar bay after he got into big trouble in his hometown and his mother decided to send him away. In Riptide we see how Lettie and Jace meet through e-mail and become great friends. Maybe they're even in love with their e-mail buddy, but then things get all sort of confusing in this book when they both meet a great person in real life as well.

I would definitely recommend you read Riptide first as it has some important background information and establishes their online e-mail friendship. You probably can read this one without reading Riptide first, but I think it would feel like you're missing something then. And even if you don't like Jace in Riptide, give this one a chance as he becomes more likable in this book. I think it's the most fun to read this series in order so you recognize the characters from previous books.

In Riptide it took me a while to warm up to Jace, in this book he was way easier to like. The shock and guilt of what happened in Riptide makes Jace motivated to do better. That urge to chase the rush is less, but even then he still gets into trouble. And there are still hints of the previous Jace in his behavior. I liked him a lot more now and I liked how he was trying his best. You see how he struggles with what happens, but at the same time it made him more careful, more aware of what his actions can cause and he thinks things through more. And when you find out who he will be staying at, you just know he's in good hands.

Most readers probably can easily identify with Lettie. She's a shy bookworm, who prefers curling up with a book than going outside. It was easy to like her and to feel her pain when her best friend doesn't want to hang out anymore as now she has only has her e-mail friend left. I like how her love for reading shone through and how while she comes out of her shell a bit, she doesn't suddenly become a whole different person. This author really knows how to write teenagers as I felt a lot of their behavior and thoughts were spot on.

This book has quite the unusual romance, but I really liked it. Lettie and Jace both are in love with their e-mail buddy, they just don't realize the other is their e-mail buddy. It makes for some confusing situations when they start to feel something and feel a connection when they meet each other in real life and not sure how to deal with that as they already have their e-mail buddy. It was interesting to see their relationship both in e-mail and in real life and how different and similar it was. They made for a great couple and I like seeing how they are there for each other.

I am just a bit sad there weren't more e-mails in this book as I really liked those in Riptide and now sometimes felt like we missed a few pieces as some e-mails got summed up instead of typed out. I liked they had some great scenes in person too, but would've liked to see a few ore after they know who the other is. So I am hoping we get a bit more of that in the epilogue novella. I am also happy the author avoided a common trope with romance novels and instead added an interesting twist toward the end.

It was such an unique concept to have them fall in love by e-mail and then accidentally meet in real life without knowing who the other is. Besides the romance plot line, there is a great plot line displaying the sibling relationship between Savannah and Lettie. Savannah has quite a big role in this book and it was interesting to see their struggle now from Lettie's point of view and see how she feels about Savannah and how they struggle to find a way to interact without getting angry. Their struggle felt realistic and I liked how even with their behavior it was still clear they cared for each other.

The group of friends that builds up as the series progresses is again part of this book. With the focus being on the main characters and Savannah and griffin because of their connection to the two main characters. It also was fun to see a bit of Aiden, Harley, Jed and Skylar again, although their role is smaller there are some fun scenes with all of them.

To summarize: I really enjoyed this fourth book in the Rydar Bay series. This book tells the story of Lettie and Jace. I think this story is best enjoyed if you read at least Riptide first, but I think reading the earlier books first makes for the most fun experience. Lettie is easy to like, she's a shy bookworm who struggles with interacting in real life at times. Jace is a trouble maker who tries to do better and I found him easier to like in this book than in Riptide, even tough he has a few hurdles to overcome here too. Their romance is sweet and I liked seeing how they grow closer online and meet in real life while not realizing who the other is. It's also fun to see the characters from previous books again, especially Savannah and Griffin play a role here. All in all I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the epilogue novella.

This couple was hands down my absolute favourite in the Ryder Bay series. I loved their origin story in Riptide and now getting to know them better and seeing their chemistry in person even if Snapdragon and Bass had no idea they were in the same town and actually interacting in person was amazing!

Jace and Lettie find they have instant chemistry when he literally sweeps her off her feet with his skateboard. This bad boy and bookworm should not have anything in common, yet they are absolutely drawn to one another and cannot fight their growing connection. Their love story was effortless and beautiful and I could not put this down once I started, I loved every minute of their teen romance and couldn't be happier with their story. I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC and this is my honest review.

This book stole my heart! Also the ending was super unexpected which I really liked. I love these books lately that seem to be a normal YA but have a twist to them and some major suspense.
I'm glad I was able to read the novella before I read this because it definitely made me excited to learn what happens with Jace and Lettie who is Snap Dragon.
These two are definitely opposites; the troublemaker and the bookworm. I really enjoyed these characters though and loved that Lettie brought out the softer side of Jace and that he had actual emotions towards Hayes and the situation. I thought most of the characters were great even though this is the first story I have read about Ryder Bay. This could almost be read like a standalone because the author does a great job of telling you who is who and what has been going on with them.
This story definitely deals with hard situations and topics but was relatable and emotional enough that I felt the emotions the characters were feeling sometimes. I felt bad for Lettie though because we all thought Reed was a good guy but things aren't always what they seem! I was also surprised when she was talking about being 15 or almost turning 15 because I felt like they were older with how they were talking and acting. I really hope things work out in the end for everyone and I think it's great that the author is writing another separate novella to pull all these stories and characters together.

Every time I read a Jordan Ford’s book I know it’s going to be great and as expected this book is amazing. In this story you follow again Jace a Lettie from Riptide. Jace is now in Ryder Bay fighting the feelings overwhelming him. Rejection, regret, longing and some fear of what could happen if he gets in trouble again. Lettie starts as a freshman in High School and she finds herself so lonely. Both of them finding joy with each other through their e-mails.
As I said these series have been so heartwarming and lovely and Wipe out doesn’t disappoint. After Face the wave I didn’t think it could get better but as always Jordan did it. Great story, so well written, amazing characters and a compelling storyline makes this book a must read this summer.

Hands down, favourite of the series. I didn’t think I could love any couple more than Aidan and Harley, but Jace and Lettie have taken them on and won! I thoroughly enjoyed Riptide and couldn’t wait for this one to come out so I knew I was in for something great.
I love how Jace’s character developed and really enjoyed watching the two fight their attraction.
Again, Jordan gave us a little suspense/thrill and I LOVED that part of their story.
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED and highly recommended.
I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy to give an honest review.

The awkward bookworm and the bad boy, he's not really bad just feeling rejected and mixing with the wrong crowd. These two have been emailing anonymously for some time, fate puts them in the same town. I didn't think these two would become my new fave couple in this series. Well done to the author for grabbing me and not letting me go. I read this book off and on all day...work gets in the way. The last chapters...wow didn't see that coming, what an exciting finish. I love this series and highly recommend it.

I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review.
Wow, what a fabulous, well written story this is, the storyline kept me intrigued; its full of action and caught my interest from the beginning. I wanted to know what would happen next. All characters are three-dimensional and believable. The storyline is intense, it's gripping in the best sense of the word. A powerful book that was hard to put down.

I really enjoyed reading this story after meeting Lettie earlier on and then reading the story about what led Jace to Ryder Bay.

I have a very strong opinion regarding Jace and I understand that he acts the way he does because of how replaceable and misunderstood he feels, but it gets to a point where it is so incredibly frustrating that you’re fed up of the constant acting out, especially when people who finally treat him the way he wants to be treated, he still does the same thing! I feel like he has a lot of growing up to do and it was definitely shown at the end of the book after the plot twist took place.

Lettie has a little more sympathy from me, while she acts out, she also doesn’t host her own pity party as often. Losing her mother so young clearly hit her hard and having her sister act more like a mother than a sister must’ve been a horrible thing for her, especially when there’s times when you need your sister more than you need a parent figure. Despite the attitude that she has, I think Lettie is an extremely relatable character for us who love reading and it’s always nice to have someone that you can relateable via a book. I love that she comes out of her comfort zone with Jace and I hope she puts that Johanna to shame.

In every story, there started to be a similar plot twist and that almost happened with this one but I’m grateful that it strayed a little from what usually happens and changed. It was an interesting plot twist and it was for a character I never even suspected! I think the plot twist was a good way to have things settle nicely rather than have Jace continue on the path on destruction for himself.

I’m looking forward to reading the final book and seeing how things end for everyone!

Wasn’t disappointed at all when I read this book...

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2019...

****Throwing a bunch of spoilers around in this review****

Well I did get what I wanted... finding out if Hayes going to walk again... ugh that’s a no... but I just he and Jace can become friends again... I mean clearly, Hayes mom hate Jace... but she also has to realize that the other two guys drag both Hayes and Jace to go and graffiti that man house... plus Hayes could’ve told Jace he didn’t want to jump on that last jump knowing that he wouldn’t have made it. Clearly, peer pressure is strong when it comes to teenagers. But hopefully, since Jace turned his life around, I hope they become friends again even though Hayes will be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life because of his back which sucks. But I am still looking for a book to come out about Hayes and him finding a girl too... I am hoping it ends up in the “Boys of the Summer” series. Because I genuinely think that he needs some happiness in his life after what happened to him...

Not only that I was glad that Jace figured out who SnapDragon was but also disappointed that Lettie didn’t figure out that Jace was Bass. I mean clearly, I would’ve asked more questions and I wouldn’t have gone on a freaking boat with some random dude regardless of us hanging out... it sucked that Reese Chile I hope that’s the kid name because I clearly forgot since he a horrible person and not worth my time remembering his name...

But like I said it sucked that Reese did all of that and excepted for Lettie to believe his foolishness if it wasn’t for Jace it’s wasn’t any telling what would’ve happened to Lettie. For one, I wanted to smack Savannah because she clearly thought Jace was the bad guy the trouble maker. When It was Reed <<< ha that’s his name... was actually the bad guy and not the “nice good guy” that Savannah thought he was, she looked very stupid when learning what happened to her sister. I was also waiting on an apology to happened between Jace and Savannah, but it never happened. Not only that Marshall stopped being a *** towards Jace too after he saved Lettie... nobody would’ve known what happens to that girl if it wasn’t for Jace... funny how you do something good, when all along you been trying to prove people wrong about you being a trouble maker by not getting into..but soon you up and save the one person you care about and love they actually believe and say you are a nice guy.

& not only that your mom tells you could go home after all that crap you been through. But I was glad changed his ways and stopped hanging with those trouble people because he only got into trouble twice because of them... that tells you they aren’t your friends. I still can’t understand how Savannah smile up in Jace face all those times but didn’t like him.. at least Jace knew Jed kind of didn’t like him. Savannah was kind of annoying and bitchy to both Jace and her sister... I only understood Griffin that’s it, and I mean Marshall shouldn’t have harsh either. Plus Deena also knew that Jace needed love and he got that from people in Ryder Bay unlike those in Sterling Beach, clearly everybody he called family and his friend bailed on him... even Issac and Vic didn’t contact them. I also wonder did they contact Hayes......

But at least Jace found a new family in Ryder Bay. Clearly, everyone, there seems more of a family to him because lord knows no matter what he did back home he gotten bashed and hurt by it when in Ryder Bay Deena was actually looking out for him more. Even though she did get upset with him once when it came to the accident. But I hope when I read that epilogue that I get the answers I want with him staying in Ryder Bay or going home to Sterling Beach, plus before I get into the next book, I have to read book one and two... since I already read three and now four...

And here it is! Wipe Out is the fourth book in the Ryder Bay series, and it is the one that ticked all my boxes. It doesn't matter which series of Jordan Ford's I am reading, there is always one that shines just that little bit more for me. In this series, it's this one!! Now, don't get me wrong. I have thoroughly enjoyed ALL of the other books, but this one though... Sheer perfection!

We first met Jace, also known as Bass, and Lettie (Snap Dragon) in Riptide, which is part of the Boys of Summer series by various authors. We find out that Jace is struggling to cope with life's changes, and as such, searches out for that elusive adrenaline rush. Lettie is still struggling with her mother's death, even though she is told that three years is enough time, and she should move on. These two find something in the other that soothes their souls.

In Wipe Out, we learn more about them. We see Jace move to Ryder Bay and start off by having just as much 'fun' as before. We see Lettie struggling with the new school year after being dumped by her best friend. And these two still connect - either in email form or in person. I adored how both of them were concerned about cheating on their online personas.

There is a bit of everything in here - so many emotions, feelings, situations to deal with. I loved the ending with Reed, although I won't say anything further because, you know, spoilers!

All in all, this is a fantastically written book, with plenty to get your teeth into. There were no editing or grammatical errors that I noticed, and the pacing was oh-so-very smooth. For me, this is the best of the series so far, but I reserve the right to amend that once I have read White Water, the Ryder Bay Epilogue! Absolutely recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

The continued story of Ryder Bay is great!

Wipe Out stars Jace, a reckless young man who does anything for a thrill, and Lettie, a shy bookworm who cannot put thoughts into words at times, especially when she is around hot guys.

Jace wants to know how he can find "the ultimate thrill" and is given an email address. He sends his inquiry to the email address, and soon finds out that there was a mistake, but a good one. "Bass" aka Jace emails "Snapdragon" and they soon get to know each other very well. But all good things must come to an end as Jace goes one step further in his adventure to find thrilling things to do and it costs him dearly. Now, he must leave his home and head off to stay with his cousins. He is not thrilled about it, but he has to anyway or get shipped off to military school.

The only good thing going for him after the move, is that where he lands is Ryder Bay. A place known for its beaches and great surfs, something Jace loves to do. But the suspense within this story, lies within the characters. Who are they? Are they really this great group of people to hang around or are they just people to hang around until time passes for Jace to move back home after "time served"? Who is this Lettie girl who is kind of nerdy, but yet beautiful at the same time? Jace has no clue, but he is willing to go along with it until twists take him in a completely new direction.

If you like twists and turns, this book if for you! I could not believe what happened and made me laugh and hold my breath waiting to find out.

I absolutely adored this story!! It's soooo cute and adorable. I just loved Lettie and Jace. We met Lettie in Savannah's book in Ryder Bay and it was great getting to know her better and see what some of her struggles are in life and with her sister. We met Jace in the little prequel novella, Riptide. I loved getting to see their emails start in that story and I would recommend reading it before this one, as you just get so much out of it in regards to the characters, but this story can be read as a standalone.
We get to see Jace in Ryder Bay and him trying to come to grip with everything that's happened and trying to make better choices. He gets thrown into situations with Lettie's sister's group of friends which Lettie is occasionally with as well. It brings the two of them together and while they are both clinging to their email buddy, they have chemistry, a lot of it. Neither realizes that it's the same person that they have strong feelings for online. I loved the way that this story played out. It flows really well and held my attention the entire time. Once I started reading, I really didn't want to put it down. I could have easily have read this is one sitting. I can't wait for the bonus epilogue that is coming to help tie things up and help us say goodbye, though I really don't want to. I loved these characters and this series!! This story just had a great feel good, young love, soulmate vibe to it and it was well done.

Lettie is fourteen years old, shy, somewhat socially awkward, and sometimes a little bit of a clutz. Jace just sees a beautiful girl, and someone he wants to spend more time with, but there is another girl. He also doesn't know if he deserves to be with anyone, or to be happy for that matter, with his past weighing heavily on his conscience.

I loved these sweet, and sometimes conflicted characters. Lettie is still devastated by the loss of her mother, and Jace has his mom's threat of military school hanging over his head. Beautifully written YA romance with a little suspense, and some fascinating, unpredictable, twists in the plot. I would recommend this book and the Ryder Bay series to anyone who enjoys YA reads. Fantastic book, I loved it!

I was very excited to read Wipe our after reading the prequel novella. I was fortunate enough to get an ARC of this book. This was such a sweet story. Poor Lettie is just starting high school and her best friend throws her for a loop. Jace moved across the country after getting into trouble and he’s starting his life over. My heart just broke for Jace because it was like he just couldn’t do anything right. These two found solace through each other with their emails. Then Jordan ford drops a bomb that I definitely did not see coming. This book was very well written. It was a sweet story about first love and finding yourself. Loved it!

I really enjoyed Lettie and Jace’s story. It is about opposites attracting, first loves, and finding one’s self. I love how they each bring out the best in each other and can really talk about everything in their lives. I love the mystery of who Snapdragon and Bass are, and how the reveal happens. I thought this story was the perfect continuation of the novella. My only issue is with not being able to see Jade really reconnect with his mother and meet his new sibling. Of course, there will be on last novella full of the endings of each Ryder Bay story. I believe this just may be my favorite book. Now I’m looking forward to that epilogue novella.

Wipe Out (Ryder Bay #4) is a tale that
began with a sneak peek novella Riptide that will whet your appetite.
A ya contemporary romance with character's that are compelling with engaging characteristics. I love the secrecy of Snapdragon, the bookworm and Bass a thrill seeker. Jace and Lettie are my favourite couple in this series. I love that this relationship and romance takes a nonpareil approach of falling in love. I love the cameo appearances of the other characters from the previous books. The ending signifys a perfect summer read.

Looking forward to reading the White Water, a novella wrapping up the whole series.

Lettie is hiding in her room and in her books where she feels comfortable. At school she is been ditched by her best friend because she is boring. The only thing that bring her joy are Bass’s emails. Jace is now living in Ryder Bay and trying to adjust to a new school and new friends, but the only true thing in his life are Snap dragon’s email. When Jace and Lettie meet by accident they feel an instinct connection but they so different and besides they have their own email best friend. But life will bring them together and they will realise that are meant for each other. Powerful story.

So I joined snapdragon and bass in riptide and loved the connection between the two. To be able to join them and see how their bond develops and grows in this new book is amazing. The way he brings her out of her box and helps her see she can be brave is beautifully written. With that the way they save each other both metaphorically and literally just helps to prove that the bad boy can redeem himself when he feels all is lost with those around him

Jace has been sent to Ryder Bay to separate him from bad influences. He has no true friends except for Snap Dragon and she's only an email pal. Lettie looks forward to her emails from Bass not realizing they are actually from Jace. Things do not run smoothly and it looks like Jace may wind up in a Military Academy. Then, Lettie is in trouble and he shows his true self.
A sweet romance that builds through out the book until the final chapter. A wonderful addition to the Ryder Bay series.

This couple was by far my favorite couple in the Ryder Bay series! I really related to Lettie, and I was absolutely hooked by their story after reading Riptide. I read Wipeout in a day because I couldn’t put it down (which strikes me as a very Lettie thing to do lol)! I loved the evolution of their relationship from Riptide and throughout Wipeout. I found myself loving Jace, despite his flaws, I really felt for him. Their chemistry jumped off the page, and despite their differences I have to agree with them in the end that they feel like soulmates.

I can’t say enough good things about this book, I’m so glad I randomly stumbled upon the series! Fantastically written YA books. Great story lines and characters. Perfect beach reads. I wish I could forget everything I just read so that I could experience the joy of reading it all over again!

A sweet romance with a bit of a mystery

Jordan Ford knows how to give you the feels. I just devoured this book just like all the others in this series so good. This story focus on Savannah's younger sister Letti and her secret e-mail friend Bass. Things get complicated when two new boys move to town Jace and Reed. One of them is Bass and one of them is not quite right in the head. Will Lottie figure it out before its to late

Bass and Snapdragon

I loved this sweet YA romance in the Ryder Bay series. We are introduced to Jace and his wild ways in Riptide, but get the rest of his story in Wipeout.

I loved the way Jace and Lettie get to know each other both through emails and when they meet. They don’t know when they meet that they are secret email buddies. Jace does a lot of growing up in this book and it such a sweet story. I also enjoyed getting to read about the other Ryder Bay couples.

Great read

Another great addition to this series, great to read about Lettie and Jace. While also keeping all the previous main characters from the previous books in the storyline.
I enjoyed the twists and the suspense.
It’s a great easy read, nothing heavily and no sex scenes.
Overall I enjoyed it, it’s well written.
