I didn't choose this.

But here I am: at Cambridge Prep.

Surrounded by rich, entitled brats who all bow down to the three boys they call the Kings of Cambridge.

Three boys so devastatingly handsome, but oh so cruel.

Ace, Hunter and Ricardo.

The boy who broke my heart three years ago, and his two best friends.

Ace summoned me so that they could toy with me, and then...

... destroy me.

But they underestimated me.

I may be broken, but I'm not ready to fall apart.

I've survived worse.

Years ago, he told me he was the King.

He called me Queen.

And I'm ready to claim my throne.

Mercy is a reverse harem high school bully romance. This is book one in the series and features some language, dark themes and sexual scenes. Ends with a cliffhanger, but I promise it's worth it!

If your looking for a soap opera, this is your chance.
This is filled to the brim with drama.

As an Avid Extreme Dark Genre & Bully Genre Reader, I personally wouldn’t list this in any Dark nor Bully category, AT ALL.

I received this ARC from Author for Honest Review.
I Give this Book a 0/5 Star Rating, Listing as 1 cause I have to.

I was expecting Intimidating Brooding Boys, But all I got was Gigantic Inconsistent Personality Shifts through all 3 guys.
The boys were a bit immature, it’s was more prepubescent boys playing pranks, and they talked a bit child like also at some points, and then they talked much older than they really are which was a bit laughable and eye roll worthy, then suddenly they go from alleged bullies to nicey-nice guys.
They were supposed to be ‘men’? I don’t see them as men in any way, shape, or form.

Leah was a bit naive yet she acted purposely so also, a bit bratty, and then acted tough but didn’t.
-Confused? Me too.-

The beginning was rather vague, (Finding out recently) some readers do not like prologues. But it IS what gives meaning to the actual story.
I would’ve appreciated a prologue rather than short vague details of the past being intermittently added through the story. I think I would’ve liked the story more if it had a prologue.

I felt the beginning was a bit jam packed, no breathing room, too many coincidences to fully absorb and then it spread out throughout the book, so the book itself is suffocating.
The whole school project thing, was not original and It is a bit over used in any school based book, and isn’t something I enjoy reading, cause it’s a ploy to make characters coincidentally interact. Which I do think did hinder the characters a bit, cause there was too much time spent together.
Some other characters acted prepubescent as well, It made me constantly second guess their actual ages.
Throughout I was completely confused at literally every aspect of the book, everything is VAGUE. Nothing Made Sense.
The POV’s I believe hindered the story very much, cause the guys POV’s just felt like fillers.

Cliffhanger: Yes.
Romance: Not At All Believable, Not At All. 0/5
Heat: Nada. 0/5
Drama: LOTS.
Suspense: How can it be suspenseful when everything is so Vague (word of the day I guess). 0/5
Dark: Absolutely Not.
Bully: 0/5

Will I read more from this Author? No.

DNF at 5%

Wow… I’m not usually one to leave a review if I don’t get through at least 30-40% but just wow.
The book didn’t start off well as within the first paragraph there were so many repeated sentences. She had a thought and the said it out loud.??? Why.
I also didn’t like her attitude. Ri wasn’t funny and meeting “him” was just stupid. She saw him and was shocked so she went to the nurse :/ really??? Then she went to the nurse and was FINE. what was the point??
The writing felt immature, at best.
MFC was just annoying and a brat.
The whole first 5% plot was annoying so…. No. Hard pass.

At first I thought this was going to be a really bad story but it ended up being really good and I am so looking forward to reading more books by this author and the rest of the books in this series...

Mercy so many questions

First book to be read by Avery Moore. I really enjoyed reading this, but I gotta say, this is the first reverse harem book I've read where I didn't feel the chemistry between the the girl and the 3 guys. I look forward to the second book

Really good somewhat light Bully RH

Really good quick read. This book is definitely slow burn which is not usually my style. I am typically a medium to fast burn kind of person. I really liked the story line and the main character Leah is pretty fierce. This starts off as a minor bully story. I it is pretty light bullying compared to what I have read previously. I would say this book is best for the younger audience or people who enjoy reading light bully romances. The only negative about this book is the bulling seems to lighten up out of no where. It does not happen gradually. It obviously stops completely for a specific reason but I would have liked to see it last a bit longer as this is classified as a bully Romance. Overall I did enjoy this book and would like to see where the series goes. It does end it a cliff hanger which doesn't bother me. I think it is a good ending which should easily lead into the next book to continue the story line. Just to recap, definitely slow burn, light bullying, and not too much relationship development between the the main character and her guys. Definitely a quick read and I enjoyed the storyline overall.

I’m not sure this should be categorized as a Dark Romance, but there is some definite bullying going on and plenty of drama!
The beginning of the book has a lot going on and we find out that Leah & her dad have just moved across the country from Cali for his new job. We also learned that something bad happened in Leah’s past but it’s all very vague.
That vagueness is actually part of what kept me turning the pages. I really wanted to know what had happened. What went so wrong to make Ace do what he and The Kings do what they’re doing?
A large part of the book revolves around Leah’s mom and what happened with her, and Leah’s lackluster relationship with her dad. That added another layer To this story.
I’m actually really interested to see where the next book goes!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

4 Star Intrigue...

I quite enjoyed this first book. It seemed to be more of a foundation builder and left quite a few questions unanswered but then again it does end in a semi cliffhanger

It kept me interested enough to be looking forward to book two

The prequel goes with the fact that affluence afflicts the family affections... Ace becomes vindictive against Leah Stone, summons her to Cambridge... He along with friends, Ricardo and Hunter victimises her to his vengeful acts... Avery Moore made the character of Leah powerful to sustain tolerantly... The author’s dramatisation of the story is remarkable and makes the readers curious and emotional till the end...
