I loved reading Statuesque(The Infernalis Club Book 13). All about Gillian Halliday a twenty-two year old maiden & Lord Carrington a young eligible single man. Gillian is a orphan, since her parents died several years ago. She moved in with her aunt & uncle and their five daughters and has been treated as a second class citizen since her parents left her no money. So when ever they have a ball she is banished to her cold attic room. She sneaks out to listen to the music when she meets Lord Carrington in the shrubs dallying with another lady. Read this book and find out what happens with Gillian & Lord Carrington!!! The author writes so you feel everything the characters feel, the passion and the pleasure are over flowing in this story!!! I loved it and can’t wait to read book 14!!!!
This is another great addition to the Infernalis Club and this story revolves around Gillian Halliday who has been taken in by her aunt and uncle, after the death of her parents, and is treated as a servant. The story tells of her accidentally meeting Lord Carrington and his kissing her. Later he tries to find her but with no success and his fascination with her grows. The interaction between the two is sexually charged and makes for good reading. The story is well written, entertaining and keeps your attention. I would recommend this book as a good read. 4.5
Unfortunately, Gilllian is the poor relation in her Aunt's house. Resigned to being a chubby wallflower until she runs into Lord Carrington one night and shares a moment. Sneaking into Club Infernalis, she is determined to meet him again. Lord Standish has decided to help her, but will he recognize her, want her, perhaps love her? Zade and Mills never disappoints if you want raw lust mixed with the niceties of love.

No fairy godmothers here, but bad relatives and a mistreated miss who finds her prince. One that likes to spank young ladies.
This is a short historic romance with a spanking theme to it. The story is short, but well written and easy to read. The characters are also fun, although not overly developed which can be forgiven due to the short length of the story. We are treated to a good bit of steamy fun along the way, making for a fun evening read.
Highly recommended.

Yet more Infernalis fun!
As to be expected from the Infernalis Club books, this was not shy on fun and detail. I’ve been loving all the books in the series so far and, whilst it helps to have some background knowledge of the main characters, it shouldn’t spoil the read if you haven’t yet read any other books in the series.
In this edition, we have young Gillian, currently living with her strict aunt and uncle after her parents died and left her penniless. Being the poor relation, she gets treated as a lesser being, being made to look ugly and unpresentable at balls, so that her cousins (who she also has to wait on) are chosen first.
But, oh, poor Gillian doesn’t know what she’s in for one evening, when deciding to confine herself to her rooms rather than put up with her family’s demands. Sneaking out of her room so she can hear the music better gets herself into more trouble than she ever expects, after discovering a rather delicious gentleman engaged in acts she couldn’t even dream of!
Yet Gillian, even upon discovering the Infernalis Club after deciding to follow the carriage of the one who taught her a lesson, is kept perfectly intact, apart from the severe bottom bruising. Lord Standish, ever inventive, finds a way of allowing her to participate whilst allowing her to keep her precious flower… Although, we all know that that’s unlikely to last for long!
Great fun with plenty of heat, it should keep you panting for more!
What a job this author does with her hot alpha and sassy female. I loved how well the characters are engaging and well developed with enough steamy chemistry that has me hooked from the beginning to the end. Storyline flowed smoothly.

This was a wonderful book. It didn't seem rushed. This was sweet and steamy, full of romance and passion with great characters that were interesting enough to draw you in.
I read this in one sitting. It's a short and hot and just what I was looking for.
I like that these heroines are commonly unpopular because of society's skewed version of beauty. Then again, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
*spoilers* Gillian's dreams were shattered when her parents died leaving her with virtually nothing. Now a poor relation, she waits on the sidelines and is dressed hideously by her aunt until one fateful night when she sneaked out of her room and heard a tryst. Enter Lord Carrington who spurs her desires and would eventually be her husband.
It's a good thing Lord Standish saw something in her and played a bit of matchmaker to bring those two together since Carrington didn't recognize her under full light. Their scenes were really erotic and I liked them.
