Temporal Protection Corps #2

Borrowed Time - The Force Majeure

Rate this book
They left on a routine time-travel training shift … and returned to a dystopian nightmare.  In a moment the Temporal Protection Corps changed. Martial law. Curfews. Security officers everywhere. And brutal detention for those who step out of line.

Agent-in-training Sharon Gorse and her friends are alone in this alien world, the only ones who know the timeline has been altered.

Their one chance to put things right is to commit a crime - to go back in time and change the past, violating temporal ethics and breaking world law.

Every shift into history increases their risk of capture, and they don’t know who to trust – even each other. Failure means more than living in a terrifying timeline; it means termination from the TPC and permanent erasure of their memories.
Can they succeed in restoring the future before Temporal Protection Corps agents track them down in the past? Or will betrayal from within destroy them first?
"Borrowed Time - The Force Majeure" is book 2 in the Temporal Protection Corps series and picks up where book 1 "Biding Time - The Chestnut Covin" left off.

E.W. Barnes writes science fiction and fantasy, loving equally adventures in time and space, along with magical journeys accompanying elves and dragons. Originally from Los Angeles, California, she grew up outside of Washington, D.C., and when she was not reading all the mythical stories she could get her hands on, she was exploring museums and soaking up history at monuments and battlefields along the east coast of the United States. Now retired from a legal career, she lives in the Range of Light, which is what John Muir called the Sierra Nevada — where the deer and the antelope play, and wild horses roam freely. She is married with one offspring and an opinionated 75-pound lab/border collie mix whose nicknames include Princess, Missy, and Zuul, the Minion of Gozer.

review of “Borrowed Time” book 2 of the Temporal Protection Corps Series

I just finished reading book 2 of this series and it picked up right where book 1 left off. Excitement reigns supreme. I know it sounds cliche but I couldn’t put this book down until I was done. The author kept me spellbound wondering what came next. Amazing time travel series. For me book 3 starts as soon as I finish this review which is now. I highly recommend this book. JJ

The epic time travel continues. When the enemy manages to get into leadership roles, our heroic characters must travel through time to try to right the wrongs. This book is enjoyable and fast paced.
